One more, and we're going to get me some nice new stuff, Enigma said, and transferred the zenny he'd earned to Ceres.
Sounds good to me...

Upon seeing the new viruses, Ceres immediately began to calculate what chips could do what, and how fast. Let's see... sixty to the Starfish each... that'll work nicely... Heatshots to the Starfish... Shotguns to the Wallas... otherwise, I've got a Vulcan, Airshot, Cannons, Bighammer as well...
That's... seven? With five-forty total... er... can we handle this? Enigma asked Ceres, frowning.
Don't worry, I've got it covered, Ceres assured him, and held up the Heatshots and Shotguns suggestively. For now, just stay on land; they can't move much out from the sea.
Right... I'll take out a Starfish first?
Exactly.
Enigma nodded, and started to think about what interesting things he could do to take out the leftmost Starfish. Before he even decided anything, he decided to move away from the ocean; growing legs faster than one could blink, he began backpedaling furiously, REALLY not wanting to get hit by anything this early in. Once he'd gotten far enough away from the small ocean, he made up his mind on something nice and simple. He went for the medieval again! He began to grab fistfuls of data from his sides, literally ripping off bits of himself to make the weapons he needed. Once he'd ripped almost half of his body off (painlessly), the data regrew spontaneously, forming exactly like a battlechip. He then held the data clump in front of him and concentrated, slowly forming it into about ten separate objects. They morphed into two separate parts each, creating about twenty fluctuating data blobs moving in midair at a time. The blobs closest to Enigma seemed to form small handles or hilts, while the ones farther away formed themselves into deadly-looking points. Once each row had completely formed itself, the two rows joined, creating about ten decently long throwing daggers. Grinning, Enigma grasped the first two by the tips and sent them hurtling and whistling towards the Starfish, but before he could reach the rest, they quivered oddly and gave off an odd humming noise. The eight remaining daggers, still quavering, directed themselves at the Starfish and simply launched themselves at it. The Starfish now had ten different weapons to contend with, each sharp and homing in quicker than any Cannon shot. Let's see how it deals with that!
Hopefully it doesn't, Ceres muttered in reply, and readied himself with the chips he'd need to slot in throughout the course of the battle. Let's see... Shotguns here, Heatshots here, Cannons here...

The Starfish dies. Ouch. Then a walla releases two large fangs, which wiz past Enigma. However, due to him being a boogerface in his dodging, he manages to get caught by a bubble, and a second set of teeth crash into him, hurting him lots. HA!

= I hope that we can get past personal matters in my RP thread. If there weren't only 3 or so active mods, I'd ask to not have you as a mod. If anything, I think that your comments were unnecessary and only showed that you were being immature. Please keep it to OOC areas and out of my busting threads. Thanks in advance. =
As Enigma backpedaled furiously, he saw the bubble out of the corner of his eye. Still vigorously focusing on moving backwards, what he didn't notice was the large pair of fangs homing in from the left side. Spluttering and coughing as most of his right hip was torn off, he failed to remember the bubble coming in from the opposite direction. Loudly popping, it literally sent him flying backwards, somehow landing in a heap.
Enigma! Are you all right? Ceres gasped, peering into his PET screen intently.
Enigma didn't reply, but made a sort of grunt to show that he was alive. He began to blob himself upwards, but stopped suddenly, hacking and wheezing; if he was human, he'd already be coughing up blood. The dry-sounding coughs were accented unpleasantly by groans as he reclined on the ground, unable to blob himself to an upright position because of the damage that had been done. For the first time, he looked down-- and winced. The data wasn't just blackened, like last time; there was literally a gaping hole in his side, fizzing data bits moving sadly and slowly around and bits of his internal structure quite visible. Bite marks were clearly visible in the injury; long gashes, showing up a blinding yellow against the purple. The gashes also seemed to pulse, glowing and throbbing with an almost sinister motion. He didn't even bother trying to touch it, but investigated the rest of his body instead, only to be shocked again. The bubble had made shrapnel-like indents all over his chest, hips, and what was left of his upper legs; pockmarks and craters were littered all over it, also pulsing yellow like the gashes were. Sh... shit... he muttered in a near-inaudible intake of breath.
ARE YOU OKAY?! Ceres demanded, looking at the "war wounds" with a sort of shocked terror.
Give me... a minute... the navi choked, wiping his mouth slowly; what he was wiping off, it was impossible to tell.
Holy shit! Those Wallas pack a punch! Ceres exclaimed, surveying the battlefield with the same amount of horror as before.
Shotguns... n-now... Enigma grunted, making an effort to get up, but failing again, data dissipating and re-arranging itself on the ground before he could even propl himself up on his elbows.
You'll need to get up first; I'm not giving you them until you can use them, said Ceres in the nicest way that he could.
I don't give a damn! Shotguns, no-- Enigma started to yell, but lapsed into another coughing fit as the yellow marks on his body glowed maliciously.
Jeezus! Don't hurt yourself!
I... I'm... fine, Enigma groaned, leaning against a small bump in the terrain for support. Give me... give me the chips... and I'll work it out from there.
Fine, Ceres replied unhappily, and slotted in (rather hesitantly) the first and second Shotguns simultaneously.
Those bastards are going to get it, Enigma growled, managing a smirk as the Shotgun assembled itself on his arm, but wincing in pain and dropping the smile altogether. He realized as the Shotgun finished up its formation that it wasn't going to be any easier getting up with a gun than it was with hands. So, "grinning and bearing it", Enigma slowly raised himself to an upright position; at least, elbows on the small hill behind him and newly-formed legs struggling to hold him up. Deciding to just get it over with, he locked his bent legs and pushed off with his elbows, with a result of a floating and swaying navi. Now it's on, he muttered, and gave a small cough, but seemed to be more sure of himself than before. Arm quivering, but still confident, Enigma raised the Shotgun up to the duo of Wallas with as much contempt as he could muster. Yippi-ki-yay, motherfucker, he rasped, pulling the trigger with a jerk of the arm. As the first Shotgun faded away and the next one immediately replaced it, he kept his arm in the same place as before and gave the trigger a good pull. I hope that hurts, he grinned, and watched with all the delight of a toddler with a toy car as both shots split up in mid-air and sped menacingly towards the Walla pair. And you're not hitting me again, he said, taking two steps forward and glaring at the Starfish and Senbon group.
How, exactly, will that work? Ceres queried, innocently as he could muster.
Watch this, Enigma replied. His eyes gave a deadly twinkle as he... disappeared? A few data blocks remained for a split second, but quickly followed the navi. Appearing suddenly behind the group, Enigma gave a small smirk, popping in and out of their sight as he seemingly teleported around the group-- but really, he was just blobbing particularly fast and with as little outside movement as possible. Senbons are next...

((If you keep on hinting that one of us should mod you, I totally have the right to beat your ass. There's been an issue with this in the past, I remind you. While I'm sorry that you have had to bump your topic twice this thread, I don't really want to have to hear you bugging for modding in the chat. If you want, I will let you just mention something to me once in the chat if it has been 24 hours, but yesterday you hinted once and then flat out said, "Gee wilikers, I need to wait until such and such a time so I can bump my topic" which more or less says to me that you need modding and thus is a bump in my book. Now then, back to modding, this time nicely.))
The first shotgun hits both Starfish, putting them both in critical condition. THe next shot takes down one though the other remains alive. The Strarfish fires some bubbles and the walla fires some tusks. Unfortunately, this proves stupid, because the fangs pop the bubbles, leaving Enigma with just a single attack to avoid, which he totally does.

Enigma grinned as the first Walla was eradicated, but frowned slightly as he watched the second escape with half of its health remaining. That's not good, he remarked, working through numbers mentally as quickly as he could, while still maintaining his speed and "teleporting" around the virii.
I'll give you a Cannon, you add some "punch" to it, Ceres suggested, slotting in the chip readily.
Works for me, Enigma agreed, and watched in mild interest as the Cannon formed itself on his arm like all of his other guns did. He then winced slightly; his various pockmarks and gashes were glowing menacingly again. Looking up to the sky and holding his breath, Enigma closed his eyes and did his best to ignore the twinging pains and annoyances the wounds brought and summoned his aura again. As the outline took shape, Enigma visibly took comfort from it, relaxing and letting out his breath as the mystical purple energy soothed his injuries. It flowed from top to bottom, changing shades of purple as always, and the glaring yellow slowly faded to a dull pulse, almost disappearing completely.
Enigma then grunted slightly, slowed up so that he could aim, and raised the Cannon, also for aiming purposes. Squinting down the barrel of the gun, he watched the Walla carefully, making sure there were no sudden movements as he let off the shot, whizzing menacingly towards the Walla. The extremely (and almost obnoxiously) purple shot fizzed and spluttered excessively in mid-air, literally crackling with the energy boost. Give me another Cannon, Enigma said, and turned his attention to the duo of Starfish that remained.
Sure... Ceres murmured, and slotted in the other Cannon with no argument. Enigma gave no sign of recognition as the second Cannon formed; he just blobbed quickly so that he was on a good line with one of the Starfish. Still strafing back and forth, not in the mood for any more bubbles, needles, fangs, or other aquatic nuisances, Enigma fired his second shot, and didn't watch it speed towards the right-hand-side Starfish-- he instead concentrated on not getting hit again. After this, I'm either taking out both Starfish or both Senbons-- your choice.
We'll go for the Starfish first, Ceres replied, and held up the Airshot2 suggestively. That'll finish off that one, and then you can just hit the left-hand one so hard its mother feels it.

Enigma boosts his shot to take out the fatty. He then fires a quick attack at the starfish, though it aint anything fatal. A starfish fires off some bubbles, which totally miss due to being slow. Then a senbon fires off a trio of needles, two of them finding their mark. The first hits Enigma in the shoulder, the second in his thigh.

Enigma, having just made another strafing motion to the left, choked as he flew backwards again, data crackling. Tumbling to the ground, he lay there for a few moments, wincing in pain as he tested each of his limbs, running system analases (SP? plural of analysis anyways) as fast as he could. He managed to lean back against another sort of dip in the terrain (the high part of course), and screamed out curses in pain as the spike wiggled its way outwards a bit, pushed by the pressure against the landscape.
Shit! Ceres began cursing as well as he saw the numbers filling his PET. 78% power usage... 40% energy remaining... 36% system capability...
Enigma didn't respond for the second time, groaning as he surveyed his body. The spike protruding from his shoulder was oozing the yellowish energy, almost like a sort of data-pus. The area around his shoulder was bogged down by the yellow substance, moving considerably more slowly and with a sort of languid disinterest; the area around the wound was pulsing the usual yellow, and there were obvious signs that the spike was doing more damage in than out. Moving further down, most of Enigma's right hip was still gone, although he'd ignored it until very recently-- now he was regretting this, as it also glowed the horrible color as well, completely in sync with the "shrapnel" from the bubble and the needle wound. Continuing downwards, the spike in his leg had caused most of the rest of the leg to dissipate, making him look like a soldier hit by a bomb, slumped up against a bit of ground and groaning in pain. This spike, however, hadn't managed to pierce the thicker area of his thigh, and had instead poked itself (quite firmly) about halfway in, barely grazing the inner structures similar to bone for a navi. Y... your call... in or o-out? Enigma said to Ceres, hardly above a grunt.
Er... what? Ceres replied, raising an eyebrow in confusion.
The... needles... in... or out? Enigma grunted, breathing deeply and grabbing the needle in his leg suggestively.
It's... most likely better to... take it out... Ceres said tentatively, still unsure as to how he could help. And don't just yank, either-- be gentle and ease it out.
Enigma inclined his head slightly in agreement, and closed his eyes while taking a deep breath. This'd need some mental preparation. Opening his eyes, he grasped the spike in his shoulder, knowing that he couldn't just de-form around the spike; the data was too dead, too unresponsive. Bracing himself, he gave a small tug-- ARGGGGHH! he yelled suddenly, squinting his eyes shut. Nevermind... just... all... at once... he muttered, and gripped the needle again. Deciding to throw caution to the winds, he gave it a savage yank, which ultimately worked, the spike flying a good ways away from him and dissipating into nothingness. This time, Enigma didn't yell, he just braced himself and moved to the other spike. Sucking in air and holding it, he grasped it in a doublehanded grip like he had before and twisted it while pulling out, knowing exactly how much it would hurt, and it sure did. As the spike clattered to the side and immediately disappeared, Enigma groaned and slumped back on the ground, knowing that the job was done; at least, for now.
What did I tell you!? Ceres demanded angrily, who'd been gripping the PET with white knuckles for the duration of the "surgery".
Just... shut up... Enigma muttered in reply, and began the process of getting to an upright position-- again.
=-=-=
Having managed to get into "battle position" again, Enigma smiled in victory and a sort of foresight of the virii's demise. Whatever hits me, dies; so, Heatshots, please, he grinned, and crossed his arms in the most intimidating manner that he could muster.
Sure, you crazy self-medieval-surgeon bastard, replied his operator, and slotted in the duo of chips with no further complaints.
I don't see you helping, Enigma snapped, but immediately brightened up as his tools of revenge revealed themselves to him. Or, rather, the first tool. The Heatshot was purple because of Enigma, of course, but it had small red decals all along the sides, and was very similar to a Shotgun in its cylindrical appearance and absence of decent sights. Enigma strode, or rather, blob-strode, up to the Senbon pair with an air of contempt. What did I say about no one hitting me with impunity earlier? he asked, which was of course rhetoric because virii can't usually talk. Raising the Heatshot, he fired, watching the red-and-purple shot race towards the Senbons with an air of mild interest. The Heatshot disappeared slowly, but once it'd left completely, it was replaced instantly by another identical weapon, which Enigma fired immediately afterwards-- but didn't watch this time to see it hit, just turned away to the Starfish that still remained in spite of his frequent attacks. I'm going to hit one, and then you're giving me an Airshot, right?
That's right, but if a Senbon survives, it gets priority-- you know that, right?
Of course, of course... Enigma muttered, and began strafing back and forth; the needles were a more threatening concept to him than the bubbles, but he wasn't exactly in the mood to receive more aquatic shrapnel, either. In fact, he probably wasn't ever in the mood to get hit by something. Would anyone be?

The first blast consumes both targets, and then the latter finishes one off. Enigma zips out of the way of the Senbon's attack, before coming face-to-face with some Starfish bubbles.

Enigma was now a complete mess, if he wasn't before. Not even counting the huge holes in his right shoulder, hip, and thigh (pulsing yellow of course), there were now large craters littering his chest, glowing in sync with the other injuries in the most menacing fashion imaginable. Enigma winced as he felt the bubble hit him and then envelop him, he began panicking. What do I do now?! he yelled, looking around nervously. The Senbon that remained looked genuinely pissed, and ready to fire more needles, while the duo of Starfish were just as threatening as before with their bubbles.
Get out of there! Don't even bother trying to delete them yet, we'll worry about that later after! Ceres yelled back, mind racing furiously. Shit! Shit! We have nothing to heal! Three virii... with 100 HP... he just has to dodge now... so... with mostly focusing on dodges... Airshot... attack... ugh...
Roger, Enigma replied, taking a deep breath. Narrowing his eyes, he began to blob as fast as he could, arms swaying as if he was running, popping the bubble that had ensnared him earlier in the process. He kept on running, zig-zagging back and forth; this time, he didn't just not want to get hit, he couldn't afford to get hit. He continued sprinting until he deemed he was safe; or, at least, was nowhere within firing range. Gasping for air, he glanced back at the virii group, praying that nothing would come chasing after him. Ugh... get me OUT of here.

(Sorry, Hik. The coin flip favors you not, this time.)
Enigma attempts to jack out, only to bounce back to the ground with a "thud". The enemies merely snicker, however.

Enigma didn't bother with conversation, he just groaned; Ceres just watched on in severe anxiety as he smacked back on the ground with the ominous thud. This... isn't good...
Now, I'm sending you an Airshot, and you're going to hit that Starfish, just like we planned, Ceres announced, getting the Airshot ready as he spoke. We're not giving up yet.
You're joking, right?! Look at the numbers! No matter HOW careful I am, these things can still bust out three attacks at a time! Enigma protested, outraged at Ceres' "idiocy".
Does it sound like I'm joking? No, you're hitting that Starfish, then you're Airshotting the Senbon. No arguments, Ceres snapped, giving Enigma his best "NO ARGUMENTS" look.
Well, O Master, what do you suggest I do to said Starfish offender? Enigma growled, narrowing his eyes in irritation and defeat.
It's your choice, really-- be creative, Ceres responded with a shrug, and watched with a sort of false nonchalant indifference that Enigma couldn't see through as the navi struggled to think of something that could take out the Starfish.
I've just the thing... he muttered, and grinned slightly. For this one, he was going to need legs; so, he blobbed himself some, and prepared for something interesting. He began walking back towards the water casually whilst formulating his plan and mentally prepping himself for it simultaneously. As he walked, his arms seemed to shrink and narrow slightly, gradually moving in closer to his torso until they were actually one with it. Slowly, his legs did the same thing, and he looked like a floating cylinder for a bit, until he'd continued thinning to the point where none of his facial features nor features in general were really visible or distinguishable. Eventually, he'd formed a good-size rod, about the thickness of one of his forearms, and something large began forming at the top. It was much, much wider than what was looking like the handle, and ... it had a mallet head? The giant hammer looked almost like the Bighammer that Enigma so loved to use, except that it was actually Enigma's body that was making it up, and it was mainly purple in color-- however, no eyes or mouth were visible on the hammer itself. Tsunami time, Enigma snickered (back at the viruses, ironically), although his voice seemed to emanate from nowhere; after all, he had no mouth to speak with, he was a HAMMER.
Speeding up, the Enigma-hammer raced towards the water, rearing up backwards in anticipation for the strike in his usual springlike fashion. One could almost hear the notches clicking as the hammer jerked backwards; and, just as the hammer "toed" the edge of the water, it swung forwards, making a huge slapping sound, sort of like how a bad belly flop sounds, the kind of thing that makes you think, "Ow." As the shockwave raced out from the impact, waves building up, it was obvious that some sort of tidal wave was heading towards the virus group-- or, more specifically, the Starfish. As this was going on, Enigma busied himself with making himself look humanoid again, and summoned up his aura again to prepare for the remaining Senbon's demise. Airshot, please, he requested.
See? That wasn't so hard! Ceres grinned, and slotted in the Airshot willingly.
I just saved you a good amount of zenny by not dying, I think, Enigma replied icily, and allowed himself a slight smile as the Airshot formed on his arm like usual. As the bits of data assembled themselves, he moved back a bit, and braced the gun with both hands; his aura flowed all over his body, filling in the huge gaps where the spikes and teeth had hit him, and smoothly flowing over the pockmarks where the bubbles had exploded on him. The Airshot began to pulse as well, and when Enigma fired at the Senbon, the shot crackled and pulsed purple in-sync with the rest of his body, in the sort of way that, if the aura and shot were flashing turn signals, you'd be getting out of your car to point it out to the driver in front of you. After he was satisfied with his shot, Enigma hurried backwards, blobbing as quickly as he could; he'd had enough pain for the day, and as his aura faded away, the yellow marks began to show themselves again, glowing in an almost malign fashion.
Next, you'll get a Vulcan and finish off whatever... Ceres muttered to Enigma, readying his chips for later. Enigma didn't respond, but frowned; so far, whenever Ceres had plotted out his chips, it'd meant either failure or pain for him.

The wave crashes into the starfish, deleting it, while the powered up Airshot is just enough to delete the Senbon. As Enigma retreats, the starfish fires off some bubbles. Unfortunately, they travel in a straight line, so they slowly begin gaining on Enigma...

Enigma frowned as he watched the line of bubbles almost crawl towards him, and did a sort of barrel roll to the side, nearly crashing into the shoreline as he did so; getting up and dusting himself off simultaneously, he began moving around to the back of the bubble line and out of its way. He then began sprinting, not wanting to get hit by any further sudden explosions. Once he was out of range, he smiled slightly as he walked up to his final adversary. So... it's just you left, eh? I'll make you pay for this-- he pointed to the holes in his shoulder, side, and leg-- this-- he pointed to some of the nasty crater-looking things in his skin-- and THIS! he scowled, finishing off with an angry sort of yelling sound and a gesture to the most of his sinisterly glowing body.
A Vulcan2 would finish things off nicely, Ceres butted in from the sidelines, holding up a finger suggestively.
Go ahead, slot it riiight in... Enigma agreed, crossing his arms and giving an exaggerated smile to the Starfish. I hope this isn't overkill... he muttered with a small "Ha!" at the end. As the multi-barreled gatling gun arranged itself neatly and quickly on his crossed arm, he had to shift slightly to allow it to form, lest it form inside of his other arm. Slowly uncrossing his arms, and bracing himself, he let his legs re-form along with his aura. Now glowing that same shifting purple that he always did when something was going to hurt, he put his left leg slightly in front his left leg slightly behind, giving himself a nice support for the Vulcan. Holding it almost perfectly straight out from his body, he grabbed the handle with his left hand, not intending to miss just one of the shots this time, especially not the first shot; the first shot could delete the Starfish just by itself! Buh-bye now, Enigma snarled, and let the Vulcan fire; within less than a tenth of a second of delay, it began spooling up and firing, the spinning action and expulsion of the five shots taking less than a second to complete, after which, the Vulcan disappeared, letting Enigma's half-formed hand half-form itself again. He watched with a sort of grim pleasure as the especially strong purple-tinted burst raced ahead of its other, lesser companions, and crackled furiously with energy. The other four shots raced obediently behind it, looking like they were playing some morbid form of "follow the leader".
We're not waiting for it to survive; have a Bighammer, Ceres snapped, and slotted the chip in.
Okay, nevermind, it's overkill, Enigma snickered, getting a hammer for the second time in less than five minutes-- except this one was thrice as powerful. Not even bothering to wind up, he strode out to the Starfish in a fury, and held the mallet to the side like a giant baseball bat. He swung it like one, too, and he could almost feel the heat as it rushed through the air, deleting any stray data bits it encountered mid-swing. If it had hit the Starfish, or if it was even still there, Enigma couldn't tell, so he just walked away to the side, trying to investigate the spot where the Starfish had, hopefully, been. If it survived THAT...
If it survived that, there's something wrong with Yoka Net, Ceres laughed, and began to smile in anticipation of victory. Hopefully, this time, it'd be over.
