Runeknight raised his massive deformed arm, five inch ebony claws glinting in the scarlet light. The dark knight flexed his fingers, twirling them about as he leered cruelly at the frightened mermaid. Runeknight's lips parted to reveal two rows of razor sharp teeth as energy cascaded across his arm to spark against his wicked claws. Runeknight spoke once more, his voice deeper and taking on a distinctive reggae feel.
"Now you see me,
See me for what I really am.
Now maybe you'll understand
What I am going to do to you.
And you don't know why,
But you're going to die.
Yes, I'm gonna kill you girl."
Runeknight strode forward, claws extended. He slashed at the mermaid, claws raking scarlet lines through the air as energy trailed behind his paw.

Runeknight's claws flashed again, wicked juts of bone and steel attempting to rip through flesh and rend limb from limb. Runeknight stepped back, gazing upon the mermaid with a deranged smile spreading over his lips. His eyes flashed back and forth in mad circles as he barked hideous laughter.

Runeknight's clawed hand thrust forward a final time as the dark knight tried to rip the mermaid's heart from her chest. He relished the thought, delighted in the fact that warm blood would soon be washing over his body. Runeknight moaned in anticipation and his lips parted into crazed laughter once more.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Runeknight turned his back to the mermaid, stepping away through the cool water. The blackish sea held puddles of scarlet around the bodies of the fallen mermaids.
"You are the dead..." Runeknight muttered as he walked away. "And I am more alive than ever before."
