-BATTLE 1! FIGHT!-

Void looked at the group of viruses gathered together and chuckled darkly. Man I forgot how weak the viruses are here... Void thought to himself, I could probably take them all out at once if I tried hard enough.

On the other hand... Void reconsidered, Yeah, lets play it safe, I don't want to end up like last time. If Void had a mouth, he'd be grinning like a homicidal maniac as he shouted to Damian "Hey, send me the shotgun and the Ringlog!"

<On it's way,> Damian said as he sent the data to Void, <Just don't over kill this time.>

Who should I kill first? Void thought as he looked at the viruses and weighed his options. Eyes settling on the bunny, Void thought back to the elecogre, I don't want to get electrocuted again... I better take it out first. Chanting rapidly, Void started to summon the Trent. Closing his eyes to better focus, Void concentrated on his words as the ground began to crack. A large branch like hand came out of the ground, clawing at the air. Void watched as the tree like creature grew out of the ground and uprooted itself. As it stood there, Void commanded it to attack the bunny, only to get a wary look from the tree. "What's going on? I'm telling you to attack! Do it already!"

"It's cause your troops are skeptical of your skills. Especially after what happened to you-know-who..." The imp said from the branches of the tree, munching one it's apples.

"Well it was an accident!" Void snarled at the imp, and then turning to the Trent, he shouted, "Get killing that damn rabbit, or demons help me I'll fill you up with so many termites that you'll---"

Giving a frightened roar, the tree turned and quickly ran towards the rabbit. "And that's how you motivate unwilling troops."

"Yeah, but it doesn't look like it's stopping..." The imp commented, watching the tree continue running at full speed towards the rabbit. "Looks like it'll get trampled in the process though."

"Right, now for the next part of my plan." Void said as he started to summon the shotgun. "Yeah, cause that's gonna work even better." Imp said shaking his head.

Quickly shushing the imp as the hole opened up, Void looked down it, searching for the lizard. Peering down the hole for several moments, Void failed to see the creature, and called down the hole for it. "Hey, are you there?" Void said, trying to peer into the darkness. His voice echoed back, followed by a small chirp. "What's wrong? Come up here where I can see you."

Timidly, the red lizard poked his head out of the top of the hole; then quickly pulled it back in when it saw Void looking at him. "Come on, I won't hurt you..."

Peeking just over the top of the hole, the creature gave Void an inquisitive chirp. "That's right..." Void said, "I won't hurt you..."

The creature stuck its head out of the hole and gave a happy chirp."...But if you screw up, I'll rip out your spinal column and use it as DENTALFLOSS!!" <Confused squak!>

"NOW SHOOT THE DAMN CANNON!!!" Void yelled at the lizard. Quickly turning it's head at the canodumb, it horked an acid loogiey at it, then promptly ran squealing back down the hole. Void the turned to see the state of the battle field, and wondered if he had done the right thing...

"Well, your plan didn't seem to work at all." The imp remarked looking up at Void.

"Well I've had enough of them screwing up. Damian, send the zapring", Void said, calling out to his net-op.

<On it's way.> Damian said, slotting in the chip. As the chip data downloaded into Void's arm, a long shadow began to grow out of his palm, extending to the length of his arm before falling into his palm. Void looked down at his new toy, it was a staff about 5 feet long with twisted prongs on one end. In the prongs was a glowing blue crystal that seemed to swirl with energy. Pointing the crystal at the metool, Void began to gather power into it. Pulsing in response to the energy, the air around the crystal began to crackle and spark. Suddenly, the energy released, letting out a huge crash of thunder as lightning blasted towards the virus. Void then watched as the staff dissolved into dust and was blown away by the wind. Standing there, trying to see again after the bright flash of light, Void vision slowly cleared as he looked around, trying to figure out what to do next...

"Man you took a long time to kill one thing. Seemed like a month..." The Imp stated casually, stretching his neck. "You gotta be faster next time..."

"Don't worry, I will be..." Void said darkly as he picked up the chip and zenny. Then turning away, he strode deeper into the net.

-BATTLE 2! GO!-

Oh great... it's a squad of ghosts; I'm so scared...

Void stood a short distance away from the gaggle of ghosts, unimpressed by the apparent threat of being licked to death. "Lets mix things up a little..." Void called out to Damian, "Send me the minibomb, I'd like to see how that works."

<Downloading now!> Sending the information, Damian couldn't help but wonder what creature this chip would be. Void began to focus on summoning the creature from beyond, when a light weight dropped into his hand. Confused he looked down and saw a crab like creature squirming in his hand.
Shaking his head, he looked up at the ghosts and noticed that they kept teleporting around too quickly to even think of hitting one. Dammit, what am I going to do...

In response to his thought, the Imp piped up, "What, you never heard of a downspout before?"

"Down-what?"

"It's a gust of wind that, instead of blowing normally, blows straight down, pinning or crushing anything caught in it's path."

"So I can use gust to not only move things around, but pin them in place?" Void said confused, "Okay, I'll give it a shot..."

Raising his hand up over his head, he watched the ghosts move rapidly around.Not yet... not yet... NOW! Thrusting his hand downward, Void summoned a gust of wind downwards, directly over the head of one of the Spookys. Quickly throwing the crab, Void started to watch it arc through the air, legs flailing wildly. Suddenly the Imp jumped on Void's face, yelling for him to get down. Falling over backwards, they hit the ground just as a loud *SPLORT* was heard and acid sprayed out of the crab.

Getting up and quickly grabbing the Imp, Void shouted, "Why was there acid in crab?!?"

"Cause we were out of nitro and the kitten didn't want to do drugs!"

Void would of questioned that but noticed the ghosts were very annoyed now and heading at him. Dropping the imp, Void turned to avoid them as best he could.

Void manages to pin down the virus and then blow it up with explosive crab acid...ick...
Anyway, three Spookys move in and attempt to whack Void with their large tongues, they prove quick, but Void manages to avoid two of them, before getting hit by one.
Now he has a thin splash of mucus on him, greeeaaattt....

Void stumbled back as the ghost like virii's long tongue hit him in the face. Reaching up, void wiped his hand across his check, only to help smear it across his face more. "Did you forget you're not like normal navis?" the imp spat back at Void, apparently annoyed at his action's, "Hurry up and reform that stuff off of you!"

Quickly fading to smoke, Void let the goo fall through his vapor and on to the ground. Gasping as he recollected himself a few steps to the right, Void thought to himself, Dammit, I can't seem to control that ability well enough to use it in combat. I better hold off till I get stronger...

Facing the four ghosts, Void decided to not give them another chance to do anything, let alone get another taste of him. "Damian! Send me the shotgun and ringlog!"

Slotting in the chips in a wordless reply, Damian was cut off by the sudden appearance of a news bulletin. Something about cyber-terrorists, Damian shook his head, Those stupid police can never do anything on their own

While his net-op watched the report with wavering interest, Void began to concintrate on his summoning, This time I'll speed things up by using both at once! Then we'll see who gets licked...

Halfway through the summoning, Void could tell something was wrong, only one hole was opening up, and it was much larger for the Trent, lest alone the little lizard like creature. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!", the imp yelled out as he saw the size of the hole, "You're gonna get us all killed!!!"

"What? I'm just summoning them." Void said with out worry, even though he was panicking as he felt control slipping away. "Your FUSING them! We're all done for!" the imp said as he scrabbled away in terror.

"Fusing? What are yo-----" Void was suddenly cut off as an unearthly bellow came from the hole. Stumbling back, Void narrowly missed being stepped on by a large claw. Looking at it in confusion, Void saw that it was like a lizard's claw, but the scales were screwed up, like chips of bark from a tree. Even the talons had a twisted and wooden root look to them.

Void started to crawl backwards as the claw began to pull the rest of it out of the hole. A huge trunk of a leg followed the claw, as the head of the beast came loomed out of the crevasse, snorting the air as if smelling food. The head was as big as void, covered in the same bark like scales as the rest of it's body. It's huge gaping maw was filled with twisting sharp, wooden fangs, some of which had been broken off or chipped, and between then oozed a thick tar like acid that sizzled as it dripped onto the ground from it head.

Looking around, it spotted Void as he tried to make himself look small. The two stared at each other for a few heartbeats, an eternity to Void as he saw the jaw smoke from it's own acid. With a snort, it turned and faced the Ghosts before lurching out of the hole towards them. Void let out a sigh of relief as the creature moved away from him, knowing that he would not be on the creature's menu today.

After taking a few steps towards the ghosts, the wooden dragon seemed to stop for breath, taking in deep gulps of air. At the last second, Void realized what was happening and jumped back as the mass of wood spewed out a torrent of acid towards the virri, causing thick black smoke to rise from where it hit the ground.

Void tried to peer through the dark veil to see what had happened, when a pained cry came from the creature. The smoke cleared just enough for Void to see that the acid bath it had given not only burned the ground, but had also eaten away at the beasts jaw until there was only a blackened stump of a wood left.

The ghosts, sensing a moment of weakness, charged at the wounded lizard. It began to quickly turn around, swinging its massive tail towards them. Doing so cause several cracks in it's body, and acid began to leak out and eat away at any parts it touched. As the tail neared it's target, several loud cracking sounds burst into the air, followed by the beasts pitiful cries as the acid weakened its body to collapse. In the mess of things, Void couldn't tell what had happened in the last moments, all he knew was the creatu--- no, HIS creature's last wails of pain, slowly petering out as it fell silent, except for the crackle and pop of its own acid as it digested itself...

"And that's why you shouldn't fuse, there are proper ones, but these 'unofficial' ones just..." the imp said, suddenly by Void's side again.

Void looked down at the still body, many times bigger than his own, as waves of emotion and hatred filled him. "Never again..." he muttered to himself as he became aware of a new emotion called guilt.

"Never AGAIN!!!" Void Roared in answer to no-one as he ran towards the remains of his pet, ready to kill anything that was down there.

Good, I was starting to think you were getting soft for a minute or two there... the imp chuckled in his thoughts as he started to follow what was sure to be a interesting slaughter to say the least...

Notes: I know this sounded like a program advance, but as you can see below, I was just trying to be creative with my summons, and it was still two separate attacks...

Reaching the ground near the slowly dissolving corpse of his pet, Void pulled several daggers from his form and readied them. Looking around with hatred, he saw only the viruses own bodies, dissolving along side the wooden body. Instead of feeling better though, he just felt more rage. Dropping his daggers, he clenched his fists and held his arms stiffly as the blades clattered to the ground.

"See what these humans do? They created these viruses years ago, just like the rest of these navis. Humans keep you fighting, but is it them who really suffer? We fight every waking moment of our lives, for their reasons, for their design, for their FUN..." The imp was sitting on void's shoulder, whispering into his ear as void began to shake, "They don't understand us, any of us, and most of the navis just follow orders..."

"At least until they get bored of us." Leaning in, the imp whispers in a mean tone, "have you noticed some of the net profiles that are out there? There are dozens of navis deleted every day, and they're just swapped out for other ones..."

<Void? How did the battle g--- WOAH, what happened?!?>

"See, he wasn't even watching. What does that say about his caring for you..."

Turning his head quickly to stare at imp, Void's eyes widened for half a second, and then went back to normal, realizing that Damian could be watching. Void then followed his usual routine of picking up his zenny.

"Just remember, we're the only ones you can trust..."

Void gave a glance back at the smoldering remains, then quickly running deeper into the net, left without answering Damian. The Imp stood there, watching him run off when his ears twitched as if hearing something. "Yeah boss? Yes, he's coming along well. It shouldn't be long no---" a cross look came across his face, "WHAT?! They're already starting? Dammit, I'll have to hurry up. I'm on him boss..."

"Hey Void! Wait for me!" The imp called after void, quickly scampering after him.

Continuing to run at the viruses, Void stared down them with a hate filled glare. Wasting no time, Void roared with anger, "Damian! Send the rage claw!"

<S-sure> The net-op said, surprised with voids haste in battle. As he slotted in the chip, Void let the chip data fill him. As he ran forward, his hands changed first, twisting and stretching into foot long talons that glistened like onyx sabers.

His whole body began to ripple as similar spines started to grow out of his back and arms, until he looked like some messed up hedgehog from hell. Leaping into the air as he reached the head of the pack, Void turned to land on the spikey back first in a impaling body slam. The Imp ran onto the field just as Void started his decent, and saw what he was doing. "Great," it muttered to himself, "I get the kid angry enough, but then he loses control. I gotta get him in shape quick, otherwise we're screwed."

Landing on the ground, Void quickly turned his attention to another spikey charging at him. Raising his arms, Void fired off two of his spikes towards the virus, attached to him by long chain like shadows. A loud clanking sound filled the air as the chains poured out of his body, pulled by the spikes headed for the wolf's head.

Void began to realize that he was stuck in the ground, pinned by his own spikes. Thinking quickly, he reformed four of his free spikes on his back into longer, spider leg like attachments. With a great deal of effort, he worked his way free as the spikies were starting to regroup. Void quickly made his 'legs' jump, moving him across the field in a series of quick hops in a desperate attempt to avoid a counter attack.

Void's first attack missed, and the target kicks the navi furiously at its brethren. Luckily, the navi fires his Rageclaw nails at one of the targets, causing it to limp away from the side. Void feels heat to his right, and drops down as a fireball zooms overhead. The three viruses surround Void, growling at the navi.

As Void felt the blazing projectile fly past him, he gave a worried glance back at the other two spikeys now flanking him. "Damian, I need the shot gun NOW!"

<On it's way!> Damian replied as he slotted in the chip, slightly peeved by Void's increased anger and the repeated popups from the stupid mafia/NP messages. Sending the data, Damian closed yet another window interrupting the fight.

Void felt the shotgun flowing through his body and down into his left arm. The spikes that had sprouted from his body retracted and began to form into a flat piece of metal growing from his right arm, completely over taking his hand. As the shotgun formed into the full out version found in the human world, Void gave it a small flip and cocked it with his one hand. Aiming the shotgun at the weakened virus, the shadowy navi tested the rageclaw and was rewarded with a loud revving as the blade spun to life.

"Groovey..."

Quickly clambering up Void's back, Imp settled onto his shoulder and grinned, "Now they'll be dad before dawn..."

A slight groan came from Damian as Void quickly aimed and fired a shot towards the weakest spikey, the shotgun erupting in a violent explosion. Turning quickly, Void ran towards one of the remaining viruses and swung his saw like arm towards it as he passed, focusing more on trying to escape the situation he found himself in.

Niax shoots the weakened Spikey and goes to make his escape. He slashes a virus as he passes, making it flinch. However, the remaining spikey launches a fireball that strikes the fleeing navi.

<Void! There is an all out war in elec town> Damian cried out, fed up with the constant popups.

"So, I don't want to go all that way when I can kill here..."

"Meh, they'd have chips"

"DAMN THOSE BASTARDS!!! I'LL KILL THEM ALL AND EAT THEIR BABIES!!!"

Completely forgetting about the spikies, Void turns and begins trying to run to a jack out point....
