Warping onto the ACDC Net sullenly, irritable because his NetOp was too lazy to take the elevator down a few floors to ask for a janitor, Enigma grumbled a few unintelligible words to himself as his mainly-skewed data "formed" on the Net; or, rather, tried to form. The blocks still fluctuated wildly, moving around like Enigma was still warping onto the Net for a long time after he'd actually made the transition.
Right, now what's making the door do this...?

Ceres looked slightly unhappy. What I'd like to know is how a hotel-room door gets THAT... he grumbled, surveying the enemy intelligently, analyzing them for structural integrity. Obviously, the Spookies should go down first... he mumbled, partly to himself and partly so that Ceres could hear.
That's right! Props for Enigma! Ceres laughed, slotting in a Shotgun chip with no thought at all. Let's see how Kure's chips work out for us...
I don't know, but I like that we have a good number of them, Enigma said with a slight smirk, watching as the Shotgun formed on what was formed of his right arm, fizzing in and out of being with the rest of his body, although still retaining most of its general form. Hoisting it up, and squinting down the barrel thoughtfully, Enigma aimed the gun directly between two of the Spookies. Taking a deep breath, he steadied his arm before releasing the burst of (modified to his color) deep purple energy racing towards the two viruses.
I'll just make sure nothing hits me; this may end up being a long run...
You're scared of that?! Ceres mocked in fake surprise.
Hey, you're the one that'll pay for my back-up data...

Enigma nails the two Spookies in one go. The Pulsebat spreads out its wings, letting out an ultrasonic screech at the navi. Enigma swiftly barrel-rolls out of the way before coming face-to-face with another spooky, and it's tongue. Fortunately, the navi tripped awkwardly on a misplaced piece of rock and sidestepped out of the way of the attack. The Pulsebats then reversed positions.

= Just an FYI, RS... he can't trip. :'D
As of now, he has no legs; he kinda floats along, moving on half-formed data.
>_>;; =
Two down, three to go... Enigma muttered, unhappy that he'd let the viruses get so close to him.
Got a chip preference? Ceres said innocently, looking at his chips in a mildly interested, nonchalant fashion.
Give me a Vulcan2. I'll see what I can do about hitting two of them, requested the fluctuating navi as his data shifted again and again; now he had half of a face; now he had no arms; et cetera, et cetera.
Right... Ceres sort of grunted to himself, whipping out the chip cockily and shoving it into the required slot on his PET. It must be so fun to shoot these things, he laughed.
If you could actually get your hands on one of these things literally, your arms would pop out of their sockets, Enigma said mockingly, deliberately trying for (and receiving) a defensive reaction from Ceres.
Hey! What're you trying to say?
Don't worry yourself about it... Enigma said, casually dismissing the "issue". As the gatling gun arranged itself (strangely in sync with the rest of his body) into position on Enigma's arm, Enigma arranged himself so that he could fire at both the remaining Spooky and the Pulsebat that was at a lower altitude with minimal effort. Although one was in the air and the other wasn't, the navi was still able to cut the distance which he'd have to switch between by a lot before he even looked down the sights. As he did, however, he did the classic rifleman's squint, sizing up his shots and pretending to consider wind speed. Deciding suddenly to fire, he let the weapon's recoil take a tiny bit of control away from him so that he wouldn't tire himself, but left himself enough control to keep a clear target zone. Letting the ten shots rapidly race from the multiple openings, Enigma smiled slightly as he watched the slightly purple-tinged energy bursts hurled themselves towards his enemies. Really, I could get rifelry awards if I wanted to...
Also, with a real gatling gun, there's no digital targeting system, so you'd be screwed there...
Yeah, well, I have it here, so whatever.

The shots ring out loud and clear, flying at the enemies with deadly precision. A the shots hit the Pulsebat, they struck up a dust cloud that obscured Enigma's view of the enemies, leaving him to wonder about how successful the attacks actually were. The dust clears, revealing a weakened Pulsebat and no Spooky. Victory!
Or so it seemed. Enigma was cautious, though, and with good reason. The thought-dead spooky suddenly warps in, shooting its tongue at Enigma, which he side... not steps, I guess. "Blobs" might be the right word? Possibly "floats"? In any case, he dodges. AND the subsequent sonic wave that flew from the mouth of the Pulsebat. And as the bats switch places once more, a small healing glow shoots out from the Spooky, hitting its ally and healing it fully!

So much for "riflery awards"-- you missed three of them, Ceres laughed, grinning widely even though it was him who was going to be waiting outside of his hotel room longer.
Hey, 70% isn't that bad, Enigma snapped, irritated that the Spooky had healed the Pulsebat. I had it all worked out, too! An Airshot to the Pulsebat with only 30 left, and then two Cannons to the other Pulsebat... he grumbled, crossing his arms in frustration.
Well, I think you can still take out the Spooky with the Airshot if you like, Ceres suggested, holding up the chip... suggestively.
Fine, whatever, Enigma said, still slightly narked.
Relax, man, we got aaaaaaages... Ceres said with a grin on his face. Slotting the aforementioned Airshot into his PET, Ceres gave out a small groan as he sank to the ground against his stateroom's door. Fumbling in his pockets, he managed to extract a packet of cigarettes and pull one out. Biting on one wistfully, he began to mull over just how much he hated laws sometimes. Damned no-smoking-inside laws...
You could avoid them altogether, by, let's see, not smoking, Enigma supplied ever-so-helpfully.
What, just go cold turkey?
You can do plenty of nicotine substitutes, Enigma snapped as he received the Airshot with not one bit of relish. And, on second thought, we need some more chips, he said. Lifting up the Airshot to shooting height, he almost managed to smack himself in the face with it. And crap, this thing is so much lighter than the Vulcan, he complained. Or, well, not so much complained as observed aloud.
Maybe you'll hit something this time?
Maybe you'll drag your lazy bum down a few floors to get a janitor instead of having me do this...? Enigma replied snappishly (yet again). Squinting down the barely-adequate simple 'circle' sights of the Airshot, Enigma lined the small round circle up with the Spooky somewhat shakily. Once he'd used his "digital targeting" to make sure his arm didn't move all too much (the substitute for holding his breath), he lightly tapped the internal trigger, and felt nearly twice the recoil that the Vulcan had managed in ten shots in just that one. Arm blasting up and away, Enigma let it dissolve slightly as he watched the purple energy mass speed towards the Spooky. That thing packs one helluva kick...

The knockback's a fairly moot point, in deletion, but the spooky remains went flying back, if it was any consolation to Enigma. Another sonic wave dodged, another enemy position swap.

Good job. Let's make this next one nice and quick, okay? Ceres said simply, not asking for input before slotting in the two Cannons that Enigma had previously mentioned using against the remaining Pulsebats.
What if I'd changed my mind, eh? the shifting navi grumbled, receiving the Cannon with somewhat more enthusiasm than the had the 'weak' Airshot. Not waiting for it to fully form to his arm, Enigma "sprinted" under the two flapping bats somewhat nervously. Squinting up at the bright lights overhead, Enigma managed to aim the Cannon at the lower Pulsebat. When he fired, the usual burst of energy surged out-- but the Cannon stayed, and Enigma fired again, letting the second burst speed out the same way as the first. That was cool!
Yeah, if you slot in two, sometimes it stays as the same one with twice the life as the other...
With that, Enigma did something very curious-- he grew legs! With them, he took a very robotic run back to a safer position (like where he was before), feeling that he'd get hit by something very nasty indeed if he stayed under the Pulsebats.
How dignified of you, Ceres said smarmily, still chewing vigorously on his unlit cigarette.
Alright, I'm going to ignore that-- but if you're not going to light it, why bother?
I dunno, it just feels right...
Sure, whatever. When you die at 30, I may or may not laugh...
If you do, I'll make sure to spit on you from Valhalla or whatever, Ceres laughed, putting his hands behind his head.
How? Last I checked, I'm inside of a PET...
Valhalla is inter-dimensiona--... you know what, just forget it...

Bum, bum, bum... another one bites the dust~! Ceres sang out rather obnoxiously AND quietly-- how he managed to do it is still unknown.
Give me that Bighammer. I want to test it out, Enigma said simply, looking quite anxious to stop battling altogether.
Hey, relax! But, yeah, here, Ceres replied, slotting in the Bighammer1 with much exaggeration and gesticulation.
Ohhh boy. I still don't get how this thing doesn't smash my arms down to the ground, Enigma said in ecstasy as the gargantuan mallet formed on his right arm. Or, rather, took up most of the right side of his torso; the thing was huge. If he'd held it up straight, just the handle would've doubled his height and equaled his girth, and the mallet would've added another Enigma-length to the sum. Holding it out in front of him, slightly above the ground as if it were nothing more than a Cannon or his own custom weapons, Enigma allowed himself a small cackle of pleasure before looking at it curiously. Swishing it back and forth through the air, he realized that it would be near-pointless to just sideswipe the PulseBat; he'd have to smack it down to the ground. I wonder if I can beat the thing into oblivion...? The only risk is that I'll miss altogether, he pondered aloud, frowning slightly.
Well, be careful then!
Yeah, yeah... I have an idea, Enigma said, brightening up. His half-formed legs suddenly fizzled into nothingness; and then something curious happened. The data seemed to morph itself farther and farther upwards progressively, almost like taking itself apart and then re-building itself so that it moved upwards gradually. It looked like some odd flow of data; it felt like nothing to Enigma. Screw jumping, I can do this! he laughed, or, at least, said with amusement; with his current form, it was kinda hard to laugh. Once he'd reached somewhere near the height of the PulseBat with this progressive upwards motion, he drew the hammer all the way back-- and not just Mario style. He wound up way under his body, to the point where the hammer's head nearly touched his torso-- and then he let go. With a vicious whistling sound, the hammer sprung towards the PulseBat in a downwards motion with all the velocity of a fighter plane. Enigma let himself drop for a bit after that to avoid counterattacks, and let his data dissipate a bit and re-form on the ground to avoid hurting himself in the fall.
That should do it-- if not, you can still strike him like the fist of an angry god! Ceres grinned.
That's a really, really bad joke. Stop. It was bad enough that you had to name it "Strike of the Gods", Enigma snapped. Again.
I wonder why I even talk to you when you're in a mood... and quiet. It sounds cool, okay...? Ceres grumbled, only to be met with a short grunting sound from his navi.

Fishys. I hate Fishys, Enigma growled, eyes narrowing as he surveyed the enemy arranged in some simple formation in front of him.
Chip? Ceres said simply, knowing he didn't really need more than one word.
No-- I'm going to be original for these things, Enigma replied, furrowing what he currently had of eyebrows together as he thought of something interesting to attack with. I already have a Bighammer for a mallet... er... swords are boring... guns are also boring... he thought to himself before his eyes lit up, and his mouth grew into a wicked grin. I've always wanted to do this, he laughed.
If it's just a rock or something, I swear...
No, it's something slightly more fun than that, Enigma assured Ceres, closing his eyes in concentration. The data that was spinning round and round his partially-formed arms immediately stopped short. Beginning to spin even faster, the particles making up the arms dissipated and created small vortexes of whirling data blocks. Bits of them began to whiz out of their spinning creatrixes, beginning to form two large, gaudy... baseball bats?
You're joking, right? Please, please tell me you're joking, groaned Ceres, burying his face in his hands.
You'd actually he surprised at how powerful these things can be... Enigma snickered, raising one higher up sharply, only to have it crumple in half, folding slightly around the middle. Squeaky bats are such a novelty... he laughed, data-blobbing or whatever he did now that his legs were gone towards the leftmost Fishy. Beginning to... let's say 'move' for now, for lack of a better word-- faster, Enigma picked up some considerable speed considering he had no visible or practical means of travel. Once he'd attained a considerable speed, he 'moved' up like he had before, swinging the squeaky bats under him just like he had previously done with the Bighammer. Hopefully, they'd meet the Fishy with the satisfactory release of air and obnoxious squeak that meant success. Landing behind the viruses, Enigma continued... blobbing... along until he was a good distance behind them, well out of firing range-- at least, for now. That's pretty sweet, right?
Next time, you're making swords or something, Ceres groaned again.
Hey, it's not really your choice, now is it?
I could, well, just not give you chips. I can wait...
I really, really wouldn't like to be on the opposite side of a blackmail with you, Enigma grumbled to himself.

Enigma's strike rings true, knocking the virus straight in the nose. The two other Fishy's rush tackle the navi, but he swerves out of the way in the nick of time, only to be blasted by a Kabutank's launched bomb.

= TT_TT what else can I do to dodge, if RP-ing and using two turns to dodge doesn't work? D: =
Enigma cursed as the bomb hit him-- he'd seen it coming out of the corner of his eye and done all that he could to avoid it, but the little bugger probably had a "digital targeting system" as well. The explosion had taken out a good chunk of his side; or, at least, what was there of his side. As opposed to leaving a gaping hole, it seemed to have just singed the data in that area and weakened it. The data moved considerably slower and with more, let's say, 'weariness' than the gusto with which it sped in and out of existence before.
That one looked like it hurt a bit, Ceres remarked.
Well, imagine your kidneys being blown to Timbuktu by an RPG, and then you have the basic equivalent of what just happened to me, Enigma growled. Give me that Bighammer again. I'm going to give that thing just what it gave me...
Consider it done, replied Ceres, snatching the chip he'd used not five minutes ago and slotting it into the PET. The gargantuan construction-tool-looking weapon morphed into existence again on Enigma's right arm; but, oddly enough, it didn't seem quite right. In fact, it looked almost like Enigma's injured side; slightly blackened, and slower to create itself.
Ugh. You're joking, right? he groaned, watching the last bits of data oh-so-slowly arrange themselves into position. And, to top it all off, it's heavier...
Err... I guess I'll get some recovery chips later, Ceres suggested slightly nervously.
That, Enigma began, would be a smart idea.
Well, what are you waiting for? Give the little bugger hell, and then we'll deal with the Fishys later, Ceres said, rather bossily.
Sure, why not? Enigma muttered, and then grew legs again, just for the heck of it. As they began forming, he somehow managed to run towards the Kabutank that'd fired the bomb at him without any visible legs; but, as he moved, the limbs took shape, although just as slowly as the Bighammer and his side. I'll find a way to fix the side effects of these things later... he thought to himself, picking up speed slightly. As he approached the group of virii again (quite quickly), he simply held out his Bighammer to the side as he passed the group, hopefully taking out one unlucky Kabutank with it. The giant mallet dissolved after he was done with it, and the navi continued to run around the group, deciding that he'd have a better chance to dodge incoming fire if he kept moving. Once they get a few attacks in, we're taking out the Fishys, okay?
Fine with me, Ceres replied with a nod, readying the Airshot, Cannons, Shotgun, and Vulcan that he'd need, if not his remaining chips afterwards.

Enigma's strike rings true, destroying the Kabutank in one hit. Seeing such a formidable attack, the viruses decide that Enigma is a valid threat and must be destroyed quickly. The Fishy's rush tackle him again, but he dodges. Nothing exciting happens afterwards.

Enigma grinned, still running, as he saw the virus fade into nothingness just as half of his torso had just a moment ago. Sweet, sweet revenge, he remarked sarcastically, then looked up to Ceres. Give an Airshot, then I'll finish that Fishy I hit before and we'll move onto the four remaining after that later.
Works for me just fine, replied Ceres, grabbing the Airshot and slotting it in just like he did every other chip, a slightly exaggerated flourish and sense of satisfaction that came with the click that signaled a new weapon for his navi.
Yeah, after this, we're getting more chips, Enigma grumbled as he watched the Airshot (rather skimpy damage-wise in his opinion) form onto his arm, which was oddly solid for once, apart from the odd pixel missing here and there. As good of a 'rifleman' as Enigma was, he was still running while shooting-- not exactly the easiest thing to do. So, instead of aiming manually, he let his internal 'targeting system' aim the shot for him as he focused on not getting hit. After a good five seconds of just running, a sudden shot made even Enigma jump, considering that his internal systems didn't consult him first before making a shot. Deciding to mix it up a bit, Enigma began to zig-zag and strafe around the virii instead of just circling; he really, really didn't want to get hit, on second thought.
I think that next time we're doing a Shotgun or Vulcan, right?
Exactly...
