Gambling Time

Junior plugged into ACDC's netspace. He looked around, the waited for his partner, "Current score: 0 to 0. Now to throw the match or try to win..?"

Daisy appeared in a flash of light, and looked around the area some. She has been here before, but only for short amount of time, and only a few times. It was then she saw Junior, and walked up to him. "Ready when you are." She said, in a cute voice while tilting her head to the side some, her eyes closed.

"Okay, then, let's go, Daisy-san." Junior said, starting a head. In his head, he continued to wonder... to throw the match or not.

Daisy saw the group of viruses, and what caught her attention was the Bunnys and the raccoon looking virus with the mask. She suddenly clapped her hands together, and let out a great "SSSOOO KKKKKAAAWWWAAAAIII~" It was then daisy rushed over to one of the bandcoons and bent down. She went aw at it, as it was doing something cute. "I want to take you home, because you are so Kawaii~" She stated, as he tried to pet the darling virus. Unfortanetly, she was to defeat them as part of a contest, but she wasn't going to do it quite yet.

Under her lab coat, a armor of blood was being formed. It seemed to be forming typical chainmail, and only around above her waist and her arms. It was all under the labcoat, and so Junior would not beable to see it. Daisy attempted to pick up the Bandcoon in a hug. Daisy twirled around, most likely with the bandcoon in her arms, as happy as could be. However, under her sleeves, her blood was coming out of her arms, and forming a series of Small needles. It was at about the fourth spin that about a few dozen flew out trough the sleeve, at the cannon. It was unsure if it would survive the attack, of if it would even hit. But the odd thing was, Daisy herself did not know she just did that. It was then she threw her arms into the air, and if the bandcoon was in them the little fellow was now in the air, and the rest of the needles flew straight up out of the sleeves. After about a second of air time, they descended back towards the ground in the area of one of the shrubys, and of one of the bunnys.

"Eight viruses.... I can take out.... five all in one go. However, I'll save that move for my next volley. Well then, here goes. Using this many specials at once is going to be such a drain, though..." Junior sighed. He stood up tall. This would possibly be the most impressive thing he'd ever done, so a slouched position really didn't feel right. First off, the bandcoons. While he had never seen them actually attack, from what he could infer from they chip they gave out, he figured them to be some sort of burgler. He didn't want to be robbed, so killing it would be his main priority. He might want to relay the message to his partner as well, "Daisy-san, I believe the Bandcoons are thieves of some kind. Unless you want to get robbed, I suggest you make one your... first.... target." Junior sighed. She was too busy fawning over the other one. This might prove annoying. He better finish the other one while she wasn't looking and hoped she forgot about it. That being said, he gathered energy in his navi symbol. A faint light swirled around the front of it. He stared at the tiny virus. Its seemingly harmless appearance was not going to fool him. He opened fire, letting loose with a pale beam of light that raced forward to make a smear mark of the little burgler. He nodded, satisfied, then thought out his next attack. Taking out the most possible at once would now be what he concentrated on, his next move was obvious. The bunny would be too fast for him to concentrate on while trying to take out multiple foes. Therefore, what he needed to do was attack the ones that would be unlikely to move. A pair of Canondumb and Shrubby. However, since the latter was hiding behind the former, he would need to think up a way to delay one part of his attack so that the foremost virus could be taken out of the way. He took an odd stance, streching out one arm while pulling the other far back. He then extended all his fingers forward, pointing them at the green foe. He silently began pouring enery into his fingers, preparing his next move. He smiled as the shot was completed, "Heh. You two are finished." A beam of light poured out of each hand, rocketing ahead towards the line of foes, homing in on one in particular. One was slightly in the lead, threatening to punch a hole in the first virus to allow the second part of the assault passage to the coward in the back row. He held his stance a bit longer, just admiring his work before he decided it was time to move on.

He fired he'd use one more attack, not wanting to squander all his moves in one go. Once again, power poured into his emblem. He closed his eyes to better focus. This time the light was much more intense. He then pointed at the bunny, threateningly before fireing a massively bright ray of light at the tiny thing. He then prepared to back off for a bit, but, thinking of a better idea, he fired a quick shot at the other Canondumb from his palm, figuring he'd hit it or the other shrubby. He then nodded encouragingly to Daisy, "Okay, next time, we try to finish things." He then backed up and prepared to dodge, while also keeping an eye on Daisy to make sure she didn't do anything foolish. Well, anything else foolish.

The Shrubbie is behind the Bandcoon!

"The bandcoon still might be a pain but.... damn it, I am not being the bad guy here. She better have some kind of idea, though..." Junior sighed, thinking about the situation, "Either way, no matter how cute the bunny is, though, I can't let that thing go." He fired a quick shot at the hopping hunk of metal, to weaken it a bit more before his assault. He then channeled energy into his hammer shaped charm, incuring a growth spurt in the little object. Taking the now large mallet in both hands, he dashed at the bunny. As he came upon, he raised his weapon high. He stomped his foot as he brought the head crashing down, then twisted it sideways and swung it like a baseball bat. Sure that he had done the job, he then ran to the side, towards the other pair of enemies. The Shrubby was behind the untouchable one, so he needed to manuever around and crush it. Taking a bit of extra effort to try and catch the bush virus between himself and the bandcoon, he ran in when he had his angle. He then swung sideways again, hoping to swat the pesky shrub away. He then stared down the bandcoon, swinging his hammer down beside it, "Shoo. Go that way." Junior waved his hand forward. What a pain this was but... if it made Daisy happy, he'd deal with it.

Daisy was more focused on the adorable little raccoon virus to pay much attention to Junior and the other viruses. Infact, she did not know that she attacked darning her little spin, or when she threw her arms into the air. Course, the Bandcoon she was hugging was thrown up as well, and landed somewhere on the battle field. She looked at it in aw. She wanted to just love it so much, wanted so much that she forgot the challenge. It was when it ran past Junior that she remembered about it, when junior was finishing off the bunny and Shrubby that she remembered it was about who can take out the most viruses. Daisy was somewhat sadden by that realization. She did not understand why people destroy for fun, why people fought for some sort of joy. When Junior shooed it towards her, she bent down to pick it up, her face showing some sadness in it. In one of her hands a red dagger formed. She said 'sorry', before trying to use the dagger to kill the poor thing by cutting it in the back of the neck.

Junior collected his money and tallied the score. He had six and she had two, if he counted correctly. Of course, bringing that up now was not exactly a good idea. He cautiously walked over to Daisy, not wanting to upset her, "Daisy-san, are you all right? Are you sure you want to continue?"

Daisy had a sad look to her face. Why did she do it? What was the point of it? But when Junior came up and asked how she was feeling, his voice showing some worry. Worry? Why would he worry about her? It was then Daisy just said an "I'm fine." in a somewhat forced cheery voice. 'Why did she say that?' she wondered, maybe she did not want him to worry about her.

Junior sighed. She was clearly still upset. Time for an explanation, "Okay, let me explain the deal with viruses. Basically, they are abnormalities in the net, forces of destruction. They cause damage to system, block up the flow of information and goods, and attack navis. If it weren't for them, there's a pretty good chance that most civilian navis probably wouldn't even come equipped with combat abilities. We destroy them to protect ourselves and the net, much like police use guns and repressive measures on malignant forces in the human world. These viruses may seem harmless, but that's due to three things. One, we took them out pretty fast, not giving them a chance to demonstrate their hostile intentions and destructive abilities. Two, I'm a pretty strong navi, so destroying them was easier for me than it is for lower level navis. Three, these viruses are actually some of the weakest their are on the net. If you're up for it, later we can go to a tougher area and you can see just how destructive these things can be." Junior sighed once again. Perhaps he was being a bit cold in his analysis, "Anyway, I know that Scilabs have worked to create tame viruses in the past. Creating a virus pet or ally might be possible if a person really works at it, so cheer up, okay?"

Daisy was unsure at all Junior was saying. Destruction? Attacking Navis? But why? Daisy was unsure about why the violence of it all. But why did he tell her this? She couldn't ask him why, and she wouldn't. But when he talked about a place called Scilabs trying to tame them, was that for good? Or where they going to use them for more violence. She let out an "I'm fine." and started to walk on.

Daisy saw the new group of viruses, and the terrain around them. There were patches of the area missing, probably destroy by this patch of viruses... if what Junior was saying is true. It looks like there is some clarity in Daisy's mind after seeing this... She at least knew why the term virus busting came to being, or had an idea why. For now, she was going to go along with the contest, because she now knows at least some good would come from it. In seconds, underneath her coat, the same armor from the last battle was forming. But this time, the chains were more closely linked. This was to discourage her from moving from where she was... because there was no telling what would happen if she fell down into the empty areas.

Frankly, out of the ones they are facing... the ones that seem most likely to have caused damage were the wolf like virus, and the ones that look like some sort of cannon thing. The bunnies, honestly, just looked cute, and like they would not harm anything, and the ghost things... not sure. "Er... Junior... I'll take out the wolf and cannon things, alright." She said, in a somewhat soft tone voice towards Junior. She wasn't asking if it was alright, she was just letting him know what she was about to attack. She put her hand in front of her, the palm upwards and the fingers in a position like she was holding a ball of some sort. It was right them that a blue orb began to form in her hand. The size was slightly bigger then a baseball. After it fully formed, she moved the arm back behind her, and then threw it underhanded into the air. In a matter of seconds it reached the highest point of it's ascend, and busted into a shower of energy which the cannons were bathed in. The energy itself might have damaged the cannons, or they might be unaffected by it.

Daisy knew that would not be enough, and with that her hand started to bleed some. From the blood a small repeater crossbow formed. The size of the whole thing was small enough that she could use it one-handed, and as such she shall. She aimed it at one of her targets, and pulled the trigger and sent a few bolts trough the air. She aimed it at another of her targets and pulled the trigger yet again. Her eyes then turned to the wolf... the Spikey. If what Junior said was true, and just the look of the spikey makes it seem so, then there was no telling what it has done. She aimed the crossbow at the wolf, its cartrage somehow reloaded on it's own, and she just held down the trigger, and that was when several bolts came flowing out of it. The rate was about 8 a second, and yet she held it down for 5. The number seems greater then what the cartage should normally hold.

Junior smiled, pleased to see that Daisy seemed to lose her inhibitions. If she had still held back this battle, he would have had to call the contest off, most likely. However, he noticed that she was going after either the mean looking enemy or the expresionless, leaving the bunnies untouched. No doubt she still felt hesistent about attacking anything that seemed cutesy. Now how to proceed...? One option was to destroy the bunnies so that she didn't have to. The other was to leave the bunnies go, giving them chance to attack and show their true intentions. That would most likely be best, if he wanted the rest of her inhibitions gone. The Spookies it was. He began pouring energy into his fingers. He marked his targets: the two middle ghost. He brought his hands to bear on them, ready to fell two in a single strike. He was about to fire, when he saw Daisy out of the corner of his eye. He suddenly stopped, nearly losing his power. He remembered what had happened last battle. Through his actions, she had been forced to kill a Bandcoon and she regretted it. Looking at her face as she had done it was evidence of that. Even if the Bunnies were proven dangerous to her, she would most likely retain the same opinion of them. He sighed. Was he really that cruel that he'd force a girl to do something her heart told her was wrong? Would he corrupt her, teaching her to show no mercy as long as there was profit or pride on the line? No, he couldn't. Even though he had had good intentions before, what he had done had already caused her pain. Now was the time to make up for it, if he could, "Daisy-san, don't do anything your heart tells you is wrong. If you don't want to kill the smaller, cuter viruses, then don't. I'll do any dirty work that needs done, just please.... don't think less of me for it. Close your eyes if you have too." He recahrged his fingers, then pointed each hand at a bunny. He narrowed his eyes in disgust, then fired. Why did they make something deadly cute? They were almost as bad as the Grand Fisher. Now that he had hopefully taken down the main obstacle, he could concentrate on the one's he really wanted taken down: the Spookies.

He had fought the ghosts a few times before. They liked to dodge around, as well as pop up and surprise people. On a stage like this, suddenly getting spooked wasn't desireable. He needed to keep his cool while fighting them. He closed his eyes and charged power into his emblem. As the beam was charged, he opened his eyes, picked a target, and within a second, fired the attack blasting off, paling glowing through the air. Now he needed to do that again. Power flooded into the circular object on his chest, causing it to begin glowing. He closed his eyes and waited for the attack to be done, then snapped his fingers, reestablished his eyesight, and fired the bright ray of light sparkling out of his chest and towards the creatures of the night. He nodded thoughtfully. Everything was going fine. However, the area was not very stable, so he needed to watch his step. He kept one eye on the ground, being wary of holes, and the other in front of him, wary of enemies. He also called to the girl, "Daisy-san, these enemies are dangerous, but the floor is even more so. Watch the ground first, the enemies second. If we keep our cool, we can take these guys!"

Junior gritted his teeth as the bunny fired on Daisy. From her liquid based attacks, he guessed she was Aqua, meaning they were lucky that barrier was there to save her. Speaking of the barrier... it seemed familiar. Also, what subtype did that indicate? Barrier's hinted towards recovery, though he other attack was violent and hinted towards Break. Maybe she was a normal type that could do it all. He'd have to verify all this later. Right now, he was pissed, "All right, time for the glasses to come off..." Junior slowly brought his hand to his face, removing his shades. He looked over his targets... four left. He had more than enough charisma to go around. He clapped his hand to his hip, the noise being loud enough to catch the attention of all enemies, then he blinked just his left eye, sending a wave of sexiness crashing into the enemy lines. Now they should all be under his spell, meaning it was time to move in. He looked over at Daisy quick, "I'm going in. Stay back, if you can. I don't want you falling or being pushed into a hole." He then took off.

As Junior rushed forward, he payed careful attention to his feet. He weaved around the field, keeping at least two yards between himself and the holes that littered the field. As he approached his enemies, he once again, put the charm to his hand, tranforming it into a great battle hammer. The bunny that attacked would be his first target. He raised it high, preparing to flatten the electric foe, "You fool! If anyone's a threat to you here, its me! So lay off of Daisy-san!" He brought the weapon crashing down, his anger furthur powering up the blow. He brought it back up and swung once again before turning and looking for his next victim. He noticed a Spooky to his right. He charged it, taking a leap and attempting to catch it under his hammer as he descended. He then swung the hammer sideways before finally allowing it to return to its normal size and take its rightful place hung around his wrist. Pausing to regain control over himself, he then calmly lifted his hand and fired two small bursts of energy from his hand at the ghost he had just assaulted.
