NetMafia: Head Family

Head Family
(Primary Function: Organization. Members of this family coordinate operations across the entire NetMafia, while simultaneously keeping the other families in check. Betrayers are often dealt with here, by one means or another. Setting up black market purchases and back-door deals often fall on the shoulders of these members.)

Leader: Coda.NSE (Harbin)
Assistant Leader: Spirit.EXE (Fera)
Rank 1: Agares.EXE (Asator)
Rank 2: Kismet.EXE (Aim)
Rank 3: Riichi.EXE (RevivedSin)
Rank 4: GunkMan.EXE (MC)
Rank 5: Stanza.EXE (Goroke)
Rank 6: SalaryMan.exe (Bomber)
Name: SalaryMan.EXE
Position: Head Family Rank 6 (Chief Accountant)
Element: Normal
Subtype: Variable

Appearance

SalaryMan's appearance sets the standard for "corporate casual" as a concept. This business-oriented style is defined by polished black leather shoes, khaki slacks, a black belt, a white collared shirt tucked into his pants, and to top it off a red sweater vest with a zigzag horizontal yellow stripe across the middle. Stature-wise, SalaryMan is not a large Navi. He stands a little short of most males at 5' 8", and his build is scrawny enough to reflect that. He's not an old-aged Navi, but his face has a very drawn look to it, a result from his near-constant scowling. Pitch-black eyes are covered by a thick pair of rimless glasses, and very neat black hair is never out of place on his head.

Personality

SalaryMan is one Navi you just don't want to talk to. Seeing how he's in charge of allotting budget funds to the individual families of the NetMafia, and those families that have irritated him recently found themselves a little short on cash, it's easy to figure what the problem is. It doesn't help that SalaryMan is very cynical, so pissing him off and losing money is not a hard task to do. As a result, most other Navis in the NetMafia try to avoid him if possible. SalaryMan's outlook on life is, predictably, that money is power. It's kind of hard to argue with a guy who sees copious amounts of zenny flow in and out of his books on a daily basis, but there's really no exceptions to him: everything has a price. Your things, your time, and... well, you are all fair game to SalaryMan. It's all just making an investment as far as he's concerned.

Custom Weapons

It's kind of hard to call it a "weapon", but SalaryMan wields a black leather-bound pocketbook with all sorts of monetary figures and data in it. It doesn't serve much of an offensive purpose, but he can take the power right out of a Navi just by buying and selling "stocks" of the Navi's power with a note in his pocketbook.
Name: Stanza.EXE
Position: Head Family Rank 5
Element: Elec
Subtype: Break

Appearance

Stanza's skin is at the average beige tone with a golden pupil to match his blond hair. His hair reaches down to his shoulder while having a zigzagged strand of hair to mimic a thunderbolt. He wears silky white clothing with golden outlines, along with a silver breast plate with the similar color scheme. The arm of the cloth extends just over Stanza's hand and it's fitted with golden tribal designs at the end. The breastplate doesn't have any notable designs except for Stanza's emblem, a coiled chain spiraling towards the center. He wears white pants with a knee high brown boot and a chain belt, fitting his weapon behind his waist.

Personality

Stanza feels very proud of his standing within the NetMafia, but this leads to his arrogant personality. He lacks empathy towards others, even his comrades, and always seek the fastest way to get things done. Others may call him a coward because of it, but Stanza simply ignores such claim as is very able to fight his own battle if the situation calls it...only if.

Custom Weapons

A chain whip named "Octave", this free forming whip can change the thickness and the weight of each link individually and easily transfer electricity.
Name: GunkMan.EXE
Position: Head Family Rank 4
Element: Normal
Subtype: Bug

Appearance

-Body: GunkMan is, by all appearances, a large pile of brown and purple sludge and other poisons. While this would be mostly true, somewhere inside exists the remains of a NormalNavi head, arms, and part of its torso; after using certain attacks, one could probably see some of them if they were looking. But mostly there's the sludge.
-Face: GunkMan possesses a pair of softly glowing red eyes, and a large mouth below it. There's no nose, but that's probably for the best...
-Right Arm: A long arm of sludge, which can be extended to virtually any length, so long as it's not made too thin in any one spot. However, even if it's broken, it can be regenerated in a matter of seconds with little effort.
-Left Arm: Though covered in the same sludge as the rest of his body, GunkMan's left arm clearly resembles that of a standard NormalNavi's, and remains as the one physically functional part of his former body.
-Legs: Not there, as the sludge fully extends to the ground, and has completely eaten away his former legs. However, he can still move about, often resembling a faster version of a slug in the process.

Personality

GunkMan seems like an extremely simple and stupid Navi, as his speech is slow and is unable to say longer words without stuttering or taking a long time.

Custom Weapons

Normal Attack: Buster Shot

Charge Attack: Gunk Bomber - GunkMan rips a piece off of himself, then hurls it at an enemy.
Name: Riichi.EXE
Position: Head Family Rank 3 (Event Organizer)
Element: Wood
Subtype: Bug

Appearance

Riichi stands at a fairly short 5'6", with frayed, messy brown hair tied up in a ponytail at the back, which is held together by ornamental chopsticks. The ponytail only reaches a bit below Riichi's shoulders. Riichi's eyes are a light brown, filled with mirth and excitement. Her face comes to a sharp end at the chin and her complexion is fair.
Riichi's normal attire consists of a slightly baggy graphite colored haori (kimono-like jacket) that goes to her thighs. The haori is fastened tightly by a black obi, but the right half is always off and folded/bunched into the obi, exposing a fair amount of skin and a modest bust covered by bandage wrappings.
That's as suggestive as she'll get, however, as Riichi also wears slightly baggy graphite colored pants under her haori, opening above the ankles to reveal bare feet slipped into wooden sandals with black string.
Riichi navi emblem: a flat, blue riichi stick against a purple background, is portrayed on the left side of her obi.

Personality

Smug and cheerful, Riichi has absolute confidence in her luck and intuition. She is quite friendly and optimistic, always trying to make the people around her get along. This has failed more than once, but she's not one to be discouraged.
Riichi is absolutely silent when playing Mahjong, or during a fierce battle, shouting out her attacks to relieve tension, and relaying orders to create the best outcome. This cold and calculating side of Riichi has earned her current status in the head family. When things need to get done, you can leave it to her.

Custom Weapons

Riichi is automatically set with a hand of 13 mahjong tiles. The tiles float in front of her at chest height. Her main attack is to draw a tile from a pile in another dimension, put it in her hand, and then throw the one she doesn't need at the opponent.
Name: Kismet.EXE
Position: Head Family Rank 2
Element: Normal
Subtype: Speed

Appearance

Physical Description: Kismet is a terribly short female navi, standing somewhere between 5'4" and 5'5" at her full height. Her hair is a vivid green color, held into an odd style with two upright tails at each side and a third feathered tail at the back. Her bangs are also very long; if her hair was let down, it would be very messy and unevenly cut. Her face is very memorable, although few ever see it. Her dark blue eyes are very shifty with upset, angry-looking, sharp eyebrows. The face seems oddly long and stuck into a perpetual toothy grimace. Her body is very underdeveloped and slightly pale, giving her a childlike appearance. She wears a midnight-blue cowl over a sea-blue navisuit of a material similar to latex. A grey-blue belt matches her gloves and boots, displaying her navi symbol, a white orb atop a blue table.

Personality

Kismet is eternally the pessimist, ever since a vision during the Net War convinced her that the Mafia would destroy the Netpolice. She is troubled at her ability to sense only negative auras around everyone she meets. Her perpetually grim expression has developed as a result of her constant depression. At heart, she's really just a young girl who still dreams of romance and a knight in shining armor. She unconsciously roots for the heroes even while supporting the Mafia. Even when she's attracted to others or feels kinship with them, however, she has a hard time expressing it and usually just comes off as grumpy. She believes that she is "an instrument of destiny," and whatever visions she sees she must strive to fulfill. Kismet allows herself the luxury of going without her helmet only when with those she trusts. She's actually got a surprisingly casual attitude towards many issues and keeps many hobbies, but few realize that because she looks and occasionally acts so unapproachable.

Custom Weapons

Kismet throws either one or four sharp-edged cards, depending on charge or lack thereof.
Name: Agares.EXE
Position: Head Family Rank 1
Element: Normal
Subtype: Ground

Appearance

Agares takes the appearance of a large and imposing skeletal navi of around seven feet net world equivalent in height. His body consists of a humanoid skeleton with a pale white bodysuit not so much covering it as filling the gaps between the bones. Over this he wears a thin off-white cloth wrapped tightly around most of his body, leaving only the skull and feet exposed. Despite the lack of an actual face, Agares does have eyes, taking the form of pinpoint red lights shining out from the eye sockets in the skull. A black veil covers these "eyes" as well as the rest of the skull's "face", held in place by a silver metal headband. Also attached to the headband are ear covers that hang over the holes in the side of the skull, as well as horn-like projections above the ear covers.
The only other notable feature of the navi is the hawk always perched on his right arm. It looks like a normal black hawk and can fly independently, but is part of the navi himself and functions as his main method of direct attack.
Agares's navi emblem is not visible, and in fact has never been seen by another navi. If his words are to be believed it consists of a seven-point star inscribed in a circle and is concealed somewhere under the cloth wrapping.

Personality

Agares is extremely dedicated to his job, as would be expected for a navi created specifically to do it. He also believes that, because of this, he should enjoy it as well, which has caused him to develop a sadistic streak as he enjoys trapping targets and dragging them back, often in painful or humiliating ways. He also finds amusement in convincing lesser NetMafia members to try and go against the faction and run, just so he has more targets to go after himself. Despite this, Agares is very gifted both as a speaker and listener, and is known to be reasonable. He will always give targets a chance to explain or defend themselves once he has them trapped them before deciding how to deal with them, though whether or not this actually affects his judgement on this point is debatable.
His mannerisms are generally pleasant (if a bit unsettling) despite his appearance, though still firm and intimidating enough at times to remind people that he is not to be messed with and that "summoned" (as he refers to himself) navis are not toys.

Custom Weapons

The hawk perched on his arm.
Name: Spirit.EXE
Position: Head Family Assistant Leader
Element: Elec
Subtype: Wind

Appearance

The assistant Leader of the NetMafia, Spirit is a dominant figure to behold. Standing at 6 feet 6 inches, he is a very tall, very muscular male with a look that seems to have been ripped straight out of a comic book. His lightning-blue shock-hair is coupled with facial features permanently chiseled into a calm, serene look. His attire is nothing special, simply a blue brigandine with black undershirt, light-armor bracers and black pants. His hands (often clenched into fists) are streaked with traces of blue shocks, which often emit little sparks, evidence of his energy-manipulation ability.

Personality

Spirit is someone who watches over his underlings constantly and breathes down their necks. He influences those under him using nothing but his quiet and cold stare. His ways are usually conveyed by his mere silent presence, or, in other circumstances, his body language. His deep, booming voice is rarely used, though when it is, it's often used to make a statement. It's no wonder then, that he is called the Pacifist of the NetMafia. He's very opposed to using violence as a persuasion tactic, because he has enough intimidation to do the job sufficiently.

Custom Weapons

Spirit's weapon is his ability to manipulate energies around him. This energy can be used to make various objects such as swords, bullets, guns, hail, what have you. He usually just uses it for short bursts of energy, though, as he can't handle too much at the same time, or the ability will overload.
Name: Coda.NSE
Position: Head Family Leader
Element: Normal
Subtype: Ground

Appearance

Coda wears a suit that is designed to interface with a console that hooks her up to her various datasources, navis she is currently linked up to and her programs as a result of her adminship. It looks something like segmented platemail, but there are five data jacks on an artificial spine on the back of her powered suit. She continually wears a visor that covers her entire face and provides a heads-up-display of every navi currently connected to her. Through her massive data processing speed, she can analyze and take this all in.

Without her suit, Coda's hair is black, her eyes are a light brown, and she is quite pale. She is about 5' 8", and her figure is average. She has dark bags under her eyes from her state of never sleeping.

Most of the suit is automated so that she does not need to actually move herself, as that would take away from her comprehension processes. Under the visor, her face is wan and incredibly weary, her eyes being that of one who has quite literally seen too much. Because she refuses to go into a sleep or shutdown state because she could miss something, she is consistently running at all times. Her navi symbol is the titular 'Coda'.

Personality

Coda is tired. She is kind, tactical, and even nice. She spends almost all her time consistently hooked up and surveying what she has a data feed to in order to help assist and/or protect it. Because of her past, she has come to regard her duties as more of an obligation, and it has become an obsession that she protect those that are protecting her in proxy. Her information is her life, as she has learned, and she uses it like a weapon, constantly gathering more and more as stockpiles, blackmail material, chip research, anything that may come in handy even in the distant future. She treats the netpolice with disdain, as strings were pulled to make at least a couple netpolice officers come after her while she was on the run. While she dislikes the netpolice as a whole, she likes her peace over her war, and after the netwar, she is attempting to recoup her losses and keep the uneasy peace as long as possible. As a source of information, she is incredibly intelligent. As such, she plans out multiple stages of conflict as well as at least ten differing approaches and the possible conflicts and setbacks these could create. Her plans range from hideously complex to incredibly simple. They usually focus on keeping the mortality rate to an absolute minimum with the best possible outcome being a plan executed successfully with no casualties. They take into account personalities likely choices upon contact with specific navis, and any other loyalties. Contingency plans are always running in the background.

Custom Weapons

Normal Attack: Disruption: Coda lashes out, causing a scrambling of the enemy's code with a quick twist of her arm.

Charged Attack: Buffer Overflow: Coda reroutes streams of spam data from her filters straight into the other navi with a quick command sequence.
