NetPolice: Department of Technology

Department of Technology
(Primary Function: Research and Development. Typically the smartest, but not the strongest. The Light Cybeast was created by this Department, along with most weapons technology. Department officers typically work independently on projects, but will come together at the order of the higher-ups. Some of the experiments are questionable...)

Leader: Arche.exe (Zan)
Assistant Leader: AlchemyMan.EXE (Aim)
Rank 1: Denara.EXE (Fera)
Rank 2: Diamond.EXE (RevivedSin)
Rank 3: NervousMan.EXE (MagicCereal)
Rank 4: DuckMan.EXE (SMS)
Rank 5: Stringer.EXE (Bomber)
Rank 6: Alphonse.exe (Goroke)
Name: Alphonse.EXE
Position: Department of Technology, Rank 6 [Information]
Element: Fire
Subtype: Melee

Physical Description:
Alphonse stands at the height of 5'8" and the average weight of 150 lbs. He has a short, blond, slicked-back hair, a bright gray eye, and a light-skin tone. As for his clothing, he has a creased white dress shirt and a red necktie with his emblem on the bottom (a giant hand holding a handful of weapons arranging from daggers to a ballista). He wears a long, brown leather coat with clay red padding, and same colored pants that are slightly expanded on the bottom to fit his greave, and a silver-rimmed pair of glass.

Personality Description:
Alphonse, if described in a single word, is a gentleman. He enjoys the finer things in life, such as literature, tea, and hand-to-hand combat. His personality is very professional but tends to bit a little loose when he is at the presence of a lady. While he is looked upon as an intellectual individual, he is incredibly skilled in close combat and surprisingly strong despite his physical statue. His primary job within the Department of Technology is the overseer of technological information, ranging from trafficking control, gathering and eliminating, and even private transfer of it.

---Normal Weapon---
Alphonse's gauntlet stretches up to his elbow and offers great mobility despite its heavy plating. It has a special property of amplifying the navi's flame and changing the color of it. The left gauntlet has a tendency to change Alphonse's flame into dark green and has an engraving of an asian dragon to its side. The right gauntlet changes the flame into near-colorless gray flame with an engraving of a crouching white tiger to its side. Alphonse also has a pair of greave that has similar property to the gauntlet, but it only increases the size and the intensity while sustaining its original orange flame color.
Name: Stringer.exe
Position: Netpolice, Department of Technology, Rank 5 (Field Tester)
Element: Normal
Subtype: Sword

Physical Description:
Bearing a natively simple design, Stringer relies on optional equipment and add-ons to make himself stand out from the crowd. Having found himself amongst ranks of the R&D division of the Netpolice, though, Stringer manages to equip himself quite well:

Starting at the core lies a basic male humanoid Navi, standing about 5'8" tall and weighing something around 155 lbs. Covering him is a dark (almost black) navy blue full bodysuit. His head sports a simplistic white helmet whose only distinguishing features are a visor covering Stringer's eyes (his nose and mouth are still exposed) and an antenna on one ear to relay communications. This, by itself, is Stringer. It's also where R&D stepped in.

Stringer wears a set of prototype armor, composed entirely of synthetic fibers of super-compressed coding. The theory behind this is the fibers are able to expand and recompress as needed when hit with an attack, forcing the attack's energy to disperse into the armor itself and severely dampening the damage. At least... that's how it's supposed to work. Stringer's the first to test it. His choice of how to apply the armor is a set of olive green Kevlar: a vest (with shoulder pads), boots, and gloves.

Of course, he wouldn't be Stringer without strings. His hand spools of old have been completely removed, making way for an entire exoskeleton of thread feeders (provided by NP R&D, of course). The main structure is a large cylindrical spool that is strapped to Stringer's back that provides all of his threads. 4 pipes run out of the spool, reaching out to his extremities before splitting up again into groups of 5 to overlap his fingers and toes. The whole thing is white like his helmet and made of a special malleable alloy that bends and twists with his body movements almost perfectly.

Personality:
Stringer's a pretty easygoing guy by most people's standards. Doesn't worry much, rolls with the punches, etc. Granted, he's not a super genius like most of the other Tech Department Navis, but Stringer doesn't really concern himself with matters like that. He's not stupid, though, and actually has a pretty good mind for being resourceful where most other Navis would just see worthless junk. Just like the rest of his persona, Stringer's speech is very relaxed and passive, sometimes even to a fault (He gets grilled pretty often for failing to properly address superiors). If you've got a thing for protocol and procedure, Stringer might piss you off, but other than that, he should be pretty likable.

Custom Weapon:
Dreamweaver
The spool on Stringer's back houses a large amount of thread, which can be channeled through the pipes and outwards at will. With one pipe on each finger, and five on each foot, he is able to manipulate up to 20 threads at a time. A decent amount of his processing power is taken up when he starts throwing out that many threads at once, though, so he usually keeps it down to five at most if the situation allows it. The threads are all highly-resilient synthetic fibers, and while they can still be cut, it takes a bit more effort to do so. With the right amount of technique, though, the Dreamweaver exoskeleton can be used as quite the powerful tool. As a weapon, the threads can be used for either pinpoint piercing attacks or long slashes.
Name: DuckMan.EXE
Position: Position: Department of Technology, Rank 4
Element: Aqua
Subtype: Wind

Appearance
DuckMan looks like a giant, armored, anthropomorphic duck. He stands at least five feet tall and sports a rather fine plumage of pure white and creamy tan coloring. Covering most of his body are long, feather shaped, interlocking pieces of armor made of some unknown material instead of 'real' feathers. His broad legs and feet are webbed and similarly armored in more interlocking scales, albeit less feather shaped. DuckMan's arms are long and winged, allowing his the comfort of hands while still retaining the power of flight by flapping his arms. DuckMan's face has dark, almost comically large eyes, and, in place of a nose or mouth, a giant broad, bill, that somehow still allows DuckMan the ability to speak.

Personality
DuckMan is smart. He knows history like the back of his wing, and had intellectual opinions on most issues. He's willing to open himself up for debate, and sometimes acts somewhat pompous or even arrogant when he encounters someone who is not quite as intelligent as him. He's still a rather decent fellow, and despite occasionally getting fed up with others, holds a mutual respect for his peers.

Custom Weapons
Duckbill Launcher - DuckMan's mouth can fire all sorts of energy, conventional, or even quantum weapons. Just don't ask how.
Name: NervousMan.EXE
Position: Department of Technology, Rank 3
Element: Elec
Subtype: Cursor

Appearance
-------------
-Body: NervousMan's torso is abnormally thin, with most Navi probably able to cover it simply by forming an O with their fingers. It is solid purple in color, and the 'chest' contains his emblem; a simplified picture of a human brain crackling with electricity.
-Head: NervousMan's head is essentially a simplified grayish-purple human brain, with two pupil-only eyes in front on the medulla oblongata.
-Arms: NervousMan's arms, if they can called such, are essentially simple strands, that branch at the tips to form fingers, resembling large nerves in the process. It's virtually impossible to tell what color they are, due to being so thin. In fact, no one but the Navi himself knows this particular fact.
-Legs: The purple legs of NervousMan are barely thicker than a standard Navi's thumb, but nonetheless they hold him up. For feet, he possesses non-descript boots in the same color as his head.

Personality
-------------
NervousMan generally comes off as a pleasant fellow, despite all physical appearances, but absolutely cannot stand being interrupted while working on his latest findings. He has surprisingly few morals when it comes to his research, believing that such things simply impede science, but nonetheless gives in if pressured by higher ups to stop something.

Custom Weapon
-------------
Standard Buster
Name: Diamond.EXE
Position: Department of Technology, Rank 2
Element: Normal
Subtype: Summon

Physical Description:
Diamond stands at 5'2" by human standards. She has short forest green hair that curls up at the ends. Her eyes share the same shade as her hair and her skin is slightly tan. Diamond wears a white nurse's uniform and carries around a holographic light blue clipboard wherever she goes. The crystal navi also sports white high heels. Her navi emblem, adorned above her left breast, contains a picture of a grey hexagon-shaped crystal. She is usually seen with several floating diamonds around her during battle.

Personality Description:
Diamond is extremely shy, almost to the point to where she barely talks at all. She is easily influenced by her peers and superiors and can't decide what's right for herself. She has very low self-esteem. She's a very optimistic, to the point of naivety, person, and doesn't really see any bad in whatever the NetPolice are doing. She can be very lost in her research sometimes, during which it makes it hard to get her attention.

---Normal Weapon---
Diamond Shards: Several small diamond-made daggers rise from the ground and attack the enemy.
Charge Shot: Crystal Smash: A giant crystal appears above the enemy and crashes into the enemy like a meteor.
Name: Denara.EXE
Position: Department of Technology, Rank No. 1
Element: Fire
Subtype: Cursor

Physical Description:
Denara is a moderately tall female Navi with light tan skin and golden blonde hair, flowing to the sides of her rounded shoulders and down to a third of her back, neatly combed at all times. She is clad in an elaborate, flowing crimson robe, with many layers, nooks and crannies that hold many of her trademark DX-Series weaponry that she developed for herself. The robe is decorated with streaks of golden stripes across the shoulders, the wrists and along the edges of the bottom of the robe. Her face is straight and pointed, seemingly looking like a narrow spearhead, possess clear red eyes that sparkle like rubies. Her features, delicate on their own, are often accentuated by a smile so happy, so sickly-sweet, that at first sight, none but the most dense wouldn't help but wonder if she's nice or if she hides a dark personality under that creepy smile. Her hands are covered with simple red gloves that go up to slightly beyond her wrists, embedded into them varying symbols. Her feet are sheathed with sensible red shoes. She doesn't have a bodysuit, for she despises having to move around in something protective when all she does is get cramped up in a lab all day.

Personality Description:
Denara is a kind soul to many of her colleagues and friends, always ready to give a reassuring smile or a pat to the back for a job she deemed well done. For this trait, she gets a lot of close associates, and has an extensive contact list to get whatever kind of materials, legal or otherwise, for whatever she wanted to work on. She always seems to sweep into any situation, serious or happy, by capturing everyone's attention. When dealing with anger or discontentment in the Department, she can subdue any violent thoughts with her charm and wit in words. However, when she's threatened enough that her patience cracks, she abandons all social measures and goes all-out to completely obliterate and annihilate anyone who gets in her way, blasting her way through obstacles effortlessly and ruthlessly, all in complete silence.

---Default Weapon---
Denara whips out two clear, shining revolvers, the Crystals, also known as DX1 and DX2, from the folds of her robe and quickly blasts the enemy. The gun has two modes, a quickdraw shot made for dispatching enemies with deadly accuracy and a concentrated fireball used to knock a chunk off of a stronger enemy. The Crystals are the birth child of Denara's first experiments with splicing a Canodumb's combat data with a Spikey's.
Name: AlchemyMan
Position: Department of Technology, Assistant Leader
Element: Normal
Subtype: Variable

Physical Description:
AlchemyMan is a tall male navi with many sharp features and a constant, smug expression. His eyes are covered in a purple eye-mask, which displays his eyes as white, upward-curved slits. As it turns out, this is what his eyes really look like, except that normally he would also have thin black pupils. He wears a purple hat as well, draped with a white veil which falls to his neck. His skin-suit is a brighter shade of purple, and his armor (which covers his body everywhere but at the head) is the same color as his hat. Draped over the armor is a short, white cape, which hides the many thin tubes that extend from his body. These hard, translucent cylinders contain bubbling liquids that he uses for his alchemy. Some of them are curved or indented in odd ways, like the necks of flasks. He's actually bald, but there's rarely an occasion to see that. One notable feature is that, if his mask is removed, he lacks eyebrows, implying that he's actually hairless. His navi symbol, found on the front of his chest armor, is a spiral composed of red and blue with a black background.

Personality Description:
AlchemyMan is a lover of progress and will do anything for the sake of advancing his experiments. Cybeasts are one of his greatest loves, and he is obsessed with their study, even at the sacrifice of the safety of researchers or civilians. He is very pretentious and considers no one to be of greater importance to the Netpolice's tech department than himself. He is not stupid, but his sarcastic and belittling manner makes him a unlikable character to most. The only person he really seems to respect is the tech division's leader, and even this is only because he is trying to suck up to her until he can claim a promotion to the head of his own department. He hopes to be the department head once the current leader is deleted, and therefore may at times secretly plot against her. He is capable of cooperating with others, as he is certainly not incompetent but his attitude makes it difficult. If he believed that the mafia was more capable of aiding his research than the Netpolice, he might even swap sides, but he tries to make sure that his loyalty seems greater than that.

---Normal Weapon---
AlchemyMan launches a flask from his gauntlets towards his opponent, which smashes and spreads super-heated fluids over the enemy's body. His charge attack fires off a heat-ray, normally used for cutting metal.
Name: Arche.Exe
Faction: Department of Technology
Element: Elec
Subtype: Shield

Physical:
Arche is a very humanoid Navi with a full female figure. She stands at the Net equivalent of five foot five inches and would weigh around one hundred and twenty pounds. She has a hourglass figure with an ample, firm bosom, wide hips on long, shapely legs and a thin, toned waist. Her skin is a pale milky white, in contrast to the raven hair that cascades down her back. Her eyes are a sapphire blue that sparkle with a vast intelligence despite her calm, cool gaze. Covering each ear is a platinum disk engraved with her Navi symbol, a pyramid set with a lidless eye. During battle, these disks emit a shaft of light that bends to connect and form a visor that shields her eyes and allows her to view the battle data for first hand analysis.

Arche's outfit is rather provocative, a sexy twist on Rae's SciLabs uniform. It is comprised of a black leather coat and miniskirt. Under the coat is a tight, silver turtle-neck sweater that amplifies her figure. She wears milky white stockings that stretch the length of each leg and a pair of black leather heels that somehow do not hamper her in battle. Embroidered in silver thread on the back of her coat is her Navi symbol, the pyramid inset with the all-seeing eye. All in all, Arche was designed to represent the epitome of sexual desire tempered by a cool intelligence.

Personality:
Arche is smart, perhaps too smart. She deems all lesser intelligences to be worthless and a waste of time. She has a cold exterior, only warming up to her operator Rae when the two are alone. She was designed to be Rae's shell, the beautiful and confident woman that protects the fragile girl within. Arche enjoys analyzing battle data and studying new viruses and Navi. Of course, she is quite quick to point out the flaws existent within any system that she deems inferior to her own.

Custom Weapon:
A small, jet black pistol that fires beams of blinding white light.
