NetNavi
Name: Void
Gender: Male
Element: (Normal)
Type: (Shadow)
Appearance: An excellent name to describe Void, he is simply his name. Looking like a navi made out of shadows or dark smoke, and his only distinguishable feature his glowing yellow eyes that glow just below the surface of his skin. His build is one that a person who's never eaten a day in his life. Emancipated to the point of being to count the ribs in his chest and the bones in his spine, Void looks a lot weaker than he actually is. Capable of keeping up with the rest of the navis on the net, Void has caught more than a few of them off guard. The only clothing he wears is a worn and tattered black cloak with a hood, the bottom of which has become so threadbare that it is riddled with holes and tears. The Largest of the tears goes up the middle of the back to his shoulders, giving him the appearance of having large insect wings like a cockroach from time to time. Void's logo is sewn on the back of the cloak, spread in the middle of his back and mostly bisected by the large tear.
Personality: Like his name, Void is empty, devoid of emotion and compassion. Filled with a bleak outlook on life from his time of solitude, Void wishes to make the net a quiet, peaceful place... permanently. Prone to very bizarre, fringing on psychotic compliments, ranging from "You're very nice, I hope you get shot in the head." (As opposed to slowly ripped to pieces) to "You're very beautiful, I hope you die soon." (Not allowed to grow old and have their beauty fade), usually causing large misunderstandings that result in more than insults being thrown at each other.
Buster — Void daggers: Annoyed by the lack of elegance and style the buster has, Void has opted for the style of the throwing dagger, and always seems to have a large supply on him. The reason they are called "Void daggers" isn't because of an ego, but because they are made of whatever substance Void is, and having an annoying trait of disappearing soon after being thrown, leaving people wondering what caused the gash.
Charged Buster — Dagger Rain: "If one dagger doesn't do it, just throw more..."
(Dagger Rain...
Soon they will feel the pain...
Dagger Rain...
So funny when they go insane...
*I always breath away from the stabby*)
Signature Attack: keeping registered sigs, no need for this...
Imp
Who: Imp, (Eerli = real name)
What: Prog with an Imp.GMO on.
Gender: male
Personality
Some would call imps evil creatures, bringers of destruction and death. This one however, is just an asshole. A foul-mouthed demon that will take any chance to get under your skin, no insult is too low and no trick too dirty for Imp to do. With enough of an ego to fill in for himself, Void, Damian, and three of the nearest people, Imp is under the firm belief that he is running the show and has all of the contacts with the DOTA(Demons of the Abyss(see history)) when really he's completely clueless to what's really going on. Being able to fast talk better than any used car salesman, Imp has a way with words. He is also under the belief that he is the abysses gift to women, and known to hit on anything female that moves in an interesting way, even if it isn't interested in short, pale, and ugly.
Description
Extremely handsome... for an Imp. Small enough to ride around on Void's shoulder, Imp is roughly the size of a human world parrot. His head sports 2 horns that start above the ears and go backwards, and a long pointed nose that has been broken at least once jutting forwards between 2 sunken and beady eyes. His body is a portly little thing, weighing in at 20 pounds (when you remember that he's only about a foot tall, that's saying a lot). His skin tone is a horrid pasty white, looking kind of like a drowned body after being fished from the river. Unfortunately for onlookers, he sports the traditional Imp uniform, a brown loincloth that makes him look decent. A heavy smoker, Imp always seems to have a cigar clenched in his teeth, and when talking likes to wave it around to punctuate his points. Finally, Void's Imp is easily distinguishable by the 'large' jar on his back, held in place by ropes and decorated in red and blue patterns. Most of Imp's fighting skills are based on this jar, although to the system it's Void doing all the work.
and so I have it in black and white and in a place I won't forget it...
History
Several years back (Chaos era), several good friends found an old outdated computer game in their grandfather's house, that involved 2 teams of warriors trying to destroy the others base, each team assisted by hordes of weaker monsters in their battles. The system that the computer seemed to be filled with viruses and broken code, but the game itself was quite enjoyable. The friends decided to create their own version, based on warriors and demons from myths and legends. Thus the "Defenders of Neotopia" and the "Demons of the Abyss" teams were created. Eventually, the group of friends decided to share the idea with other people who got bored of just busting or had no real way of meeting friends. Every once in a while though, a Navi was abandoned in a... harmful way...
----
Three years after the war between DoN and DotA began; Damian was in the woods near his house, playing with the neighborhood kids in the usual way.
"Get back here you stupid geek! We just want to beat the tar out of you!"
"Yeah! We won't feel a thing, you don't have to be afraid!"
A young Damian ran through the fall leaves, stirring up a trail of dancing leaves as he tried to outrun the three older boys. Breathing heavily as his legs tried to carry him away from the threats and catcalls from bullies behind him, Damian didn't realize they were heading towards the Whispering tree.
The tree had several rumors floating around it, from a heartbroken widow being buried under it, to a raving madman being lynched from its branches. All the rumors agreed though, if you were quiet enough, you could hear the laughter of demons and whispered threats whenever you got too close.
Damian was preoccupied with the threats that were coming behind him as he ran into the clearing and tried to scramble up the trunk. Before he could even reach the first branch, Damian was grabbed from behind and forced to the ground. The bullies' leader, a flame haired kid named Ray Grose (nicknamed Gross by his colleges to make up for his stupid name) leaned in close and started to growl at Damian. "You got a lot of nerve, showin' up on our street after we were kind enough to let you go last time."
"B-but I live on that street to---*", Damian tried to stutter in protest before being punched in the gut, air in his lungs being knocked out in a loud woosh.
"Doesn't matter, if we say don't come here, it means don't come here. I don't care if you live in a gutter. I don't care if you get shot. I don't care if you starve to death. When I say stay off our street, stay off our st---*" Gross looked up at where they had run into, realizing that they were directly under the branches of the Whispering tree.
Regaining his focus, Gross gave another punch to Damian's gut, spitting out, "Got it? Next time we see you there, your own mother will think you're only hamburger meat. She'll have to scrape your guts off the---*"
Suddenly, the whole area seemed to change in some way, the shadows seemed to get darker, the wind colder and more biting, even the leaves seemed to whisper wordless warnings to the boys in the clearing. The three bullies suddenly stood up and began looking around, trying to see everything at once.
Making him hamburger meat? How merciful... A bodiless voice whispered in Gross' ear, The pain would probably knock him out or put him in shock before long. Why not do something better? Like drip acid on him over long... slow... time...
Animal, Gross's right hand man, was beginning to look rather worried as his leader began pounding his ears, yelling for someone to stop talking. "B-but boss, no-one is saying anything..."
Yeah... A slightly gruffer voice said silently to Animal, There's no-one saying anything to him. He's crazy, hearing voices. But... so are you... but we're sane, right?
Fist, the muscle of the group, took a few steps back as his two comrades began shouting at two seemingly different people. "G-guys, knock it off, this isn't funny..."
The first voice sighed, suddenly heard by all, "Your right, we have things to do."
The gruffer started to ask the first, "Yeah, like that widow that was killed here."
"Or the man we drove insane and convinced to hang himself."
"Or how the dog turned on it's master and killed him."
"Or how we possessed that kid being attacked by those bullies and caused him to kill his tormentors."
"We never did that, Imp"
"Oh, really? Let's do it now."
A scuffling in the leaves made the bullies suddenly turn, and see Damian stumbling to his feet. As he stumbled towards them, he opened his mouth with a groan. The bullies had seen enough, and quickly ran away, minds gripped with so much fear that they couldn't hear Damian groan, "Don't leave me..."
Falling to his knees, Damian listened to the bullies receding footsteps as they left him to the demons devices. Closing his eyes, Damian clenched his teeth and waited for the inevitable...
And waited...
And waited...
Suddenly, it was just another fall day. It was like something in the air had cleared up, disappearing as quickly and easily as turning a light switch off. Damian slowly opened one eye, then the other and looked around. There was nothing. Starting to breath a sigh of relief; Damian suddenly froze when the second voice started laughing in a maniacal cackle.
"Man, Void, we got them good..."
"You're a simpleton, those children could have been our ticket out of here..."
"You weren't helping with that acid comment..."
"I was stating the obvious, grinding someone to bits is a quick death, much too merciful for an enemy..."
"Who cares about how quick an enemy dies, as long as they are dead?"
At this point, Damian's fear began to fall to his curiosity, and he began to walk towards the 'whispering tree', determined to find out what had been causing the problems over the years. Looking under the roots, Damian found a small hole where the voices were coming from, as he reached in, the voices suddenly changed from casual conversation to panic, saying something about 'the defenders' finding them. Grasping a hard object, Damian pulled it out, revealing an older PET that appeared to be heavily modded with extra speakers. When he looked at the screen, Damian noted that there were 2 occupants in it. One appeared to be an old school imp with a jar, and the other seemed to be a shadow with glowing eyes.
"Ummm... Hi?" Damian said to the two digital creatures. They looked at each other, and then looked at Damian.
"Why didn't you run away like the rest?"
"I'm tired of running..." Damian said, "I'm always running, bullies, teachers, large dogs, I figured that if some demon was gonna chomp me, it'd be better to get it over with."
"If you run, you'll only die tired..." The Imp like creature chuckled.
Ignoring his friend, the shadow continued, "Your pretty smart, you'd choose to face your fears and die fighting rather than run and live your life hiding in shadows and shame. I hope you burn to death."
Damian would of choked if he was drinking anything, "WHAT?"
"You mean you'd rather have a slow and painful death instead of suffocating into sleep before the flames consume you?"
The imp turned to the shadow, shaking his head, "He's lost his touch, we've been in there a long time..."
"Why were you in there?"
"Our previous owner got bored of our eternal war with the Defenders of Neotopia, and cast us aside to rot..." the shadow said with a pang of sadness.
"But you passed our test. Together, we could finally win this thing!" the Imp said with a triumphant sound in his voice
"I thought you scared kids to help pass the time..."
"Shut up Void..."
Ignoring the obvious, Damian asked, "What war?
Damian sat in the leaves as the 2 creatures told their story, listening to every word as it fell from their mouth as a step into a new life.
------
Damian took a long pull on his cigarette, looking at the tree trunk before him. After 11 years with Void and Imp, he finally retuned to where it all began, only to find a hacked up and rotting stump. Looking at the exposed insides of it, there were several proclamations of love carved for all eternity. Damian let out half a chuckle, knowing that within weeks of their creation, most of these symbols became untrue, and only painful memories for both of the people mentioned.
Flicking the butt of the 'coffin nail' at the stump, Damian muttered, "Love is a lie. False proclamations to people who barely have time for themselves let alone the love of others."
From his belt, Void rebutted, "Love can be true, but for most it is done for the wrong reasons, and on the rare chance that it is true, most fall apart, or there is never enough time to enjoy it."
Piping up, Imp simply said, "Love is a way to get into a girl's pants, and comes in a handy pill that can be snuck into most drinks."
Allowing a smirk to snake across his face, "Dammit, once again Imp philosophy trumps human and shadow person philosophy in one sentence. You should write for hallmark..."
Imp chuckled, "Yeah, but it doesn't come in pill form. It would lose some of the impact... Unless the pill came with the card, and the card is just for next morning when the effects wear off..."
Damian shook his head, "Dammit, you put waaaaaaay to much thought into that again..."
Turning to walk back to the street, Damian breathed a sigh, enjoying the fall air, leaves crunching underfoot. Walking along in silence, the trio was lost in their own thoughts,
Damian of the potential allies of the netmafia, Void wondering about the war between the abyss and the defenders, and Imp wondering if those 3 girls that took away the fireball guy were a trio of lesbian lovers, or Charlie's angels wannabes, and wondering if there was a difference between the two.
Reaching the street, Damian saw several high school kids wandering home, one of which was a geek being knocked over by a jock with very familiar red hair. Casually strolling up to the jock, Damian caught his attention, "Hey! Can I ask you something?"
Scoffing, the jock simply noddded in a cocky attitude, motioning for Damian to ask.
"What are you doing on my street?", Damian asks, letting a sinister grin spread across his face as a familiar vibe fills the air. Resisting the urge to laugh, Damian watches as the jocks face turns from cocky to confused to terror as he takes a step back. Walking past the his old tormentor, Void pipes up from his belt, "Why give them the mercy of a quick death..."
"...when you can let them live...", Damian ends with a chuckle.
History: Void is a navi made by a net 'gang' called "the demons of the abyss", which is really a bunch of geeks who are into the paranormal. He was given to Damian when he was a kid to make their game more interesting against the "defenders of light". basically the only rule of the game is to make navi's and seed them amongst other netOps for the sole reason to have them battle till one 'gangs' server crashes, which are respectively "the abyss" and "heaven's gate". The game is monitored by the imp/cherib program, which is a small prog like program that follows their assigned navi and gives them orders and upgrades, and relays their success and failures. all the programs suffer from some level of delusion from their years spent in the game, but due to a blow to the head by a hands, Void is pretty out of it. all of the abyssal's navi designs are based on some monster, and all of the defenders are based on protective spirits.
Custom Weapon: shadow daggers - throwing daggers made out of the same shadoy material as void.
Signature Attack: Soul steal:
plunging his hand into an enemy's chest, Void drains some of that creastuers soul, healing him in the process...

name: Soul Jar
description: Void's imp now has a large jar on his back, and can be seen for the duration of the sig. This sig goes in two stages while using the same effect. First Imp appears on the battlefield With his jar. the lid opens, and deals 20 drain to one target or 10 to 2. Second, the imp now has the hp stored in the jar, and can give it to any player on any turn afterwards. if the battle ends before it is used, the souls in the jar are wasted. also, the cool down begins AFTER the souls are used for healing. aside from the initial attacks and healing the imp cannot affect or be affected by the battle in any other way.

Void's body starts to deform, twisting to bizarre lengths and angles. He also begins to sprout eyes and fang filled mouths all over his body. Instead of using an actual weapon, Void can twist his body parts into weapons themselves, or to just use bizzare wrestling type moves. The most awkward part of this is Void will start talking to his other mouths, and they'll talk back. With his eyes all over, he has a good idea of what's going on around him, though with all of the input, there is a good chance he won't know where it's coming from.

SplitCross(Level 1)
New Element/Subtype: Normal/recovery
Appearance: Void changes to become more human looking navi. Decked out in a dark grey armor and helmet, he would appear to be a normal netnavi if not for his oddly long limbs and skinny build. His exposed skin also appears to be a faded grey, and when he's cut he appears to leak black data. His glowing yellow irisis, devoid of pupils, stand out in stark contrast to the rest of his skin tone, and emit a low light in darkness. His smile is also unnaturally wide, lining up with the outer edges of his eyes, rather than the middles.
Much like his partner in this cross, his left arm is extremely bulky on one side. Instead of his comrades armor, his arm is still covered in just a jump suit design, but it has apparently become extremely muscular.
Buster: Demon hand - Void has gained new strength, punching so quickly that it causes shockwaves at his opponent.

Dark power
Haste: 40
strengthen: 20
Focusing his power, Void moves at high speeds and temporarily increases his strength, although not quite as fast as Split.
