NetNavi

Name: Holoß.net (Aelieth refers to him either by Holo or Beta, depending on... well, it's usually random)

Gender: Depends on what form he's taking, but thinks of himself as male.

Element: Electric

Type: Speed

Appearance: Holo is a concept Navi. Where NetNavi's are artificial beings in the real world, he's an artificial being in the digital world. His body is made up of a series of reconfigurable hologram projectors, generating simple body parts between the generators at his head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, knees and feet. The projections are reminiscent of the color schemes of ancient computer screens, pale green with refresh lines continuously moving between the projectors. The reconfigurable nature of his projections allow the illusion of movement, as well as the possibility of changing his size and appearance. Possibly the most notable feature about his appearance is his face, which is simply a square display with 8-bit eyes. Emblazoned upon his chest is his Navi Symbol, a lightly colored ß upon a dark green field. Unlike the rest of him, his symbol remains the same when he transforms, even if the Navi he's imitating has a different symbol. Drawing of physical appearance.

Personality: Holo shares many of the personality traits of his netOp. The main difference is that, unlike Aelieth, he doesn't speak when he's around people he knows. Or around people he doesn't know. Or at all. An oversight on Aelieth's part, the high power requirements of Holo's projectors prevents his vocal program from receiving adequate power to speak in normal circumstances. To compensate, Holo has taken to speaking through his transformations, transforming into an exploding volcano if, for example, a volcano is about to erupt (think Courage the Cowardly Dog). Aelieth has tried fixing this problem, but at the moment the best solution he's come up with is a text box for Holo to use, which he rarely does. To help make himself more at ease around unknown Navis, he often times will mirror their appearance and actions.

Custom Weapon: HoloBuster. When attacking, he focuses a huge amount of power into a single point of contact to deal damage. Attacking rapidly will cause a blinking effect as power is quickly drawn away from and restored to his projectors.

Signature Attacks:

TOTAL POINTS: 380

Hardware Upgrade: Variable Hertz Projector: Due to his upgrade to the Speed subtype, Holoß found himself with a problem: his projectors no longer kept up with his now much faster system processes. To remedy the situation, Aelieth replaced his projectors with faster, more powerful ones. During this process, an interesting side effect revealed itself. By lowering the refresh rate of several projectors, he could generate several solid afterimages when he moved. Though this wasn't pronounced enough to create decoys, Holo found that by keeping his refresh rate in constant flux, his attacks would appear to connect several times.
--Mirage I: Passive 20 Elec damage. (Cost: 80 points = 20 passive points)
--Mirage II: Passive 20 Elec damage. (Cost: 80 points = 20 passive points)

Total Sig Points Required: 160/380
Total Sig Points Used: 160/380

Hardware Upgrade: Hard-Light Retrofit: There are two different "lights" that holograms can be projected in: soft-light, which is purely an image and has no impact on physical objects, and hard-light, which allows a hologram to become corporeal and manipulate that which a soft-light hologram cannot. By retrofitting a more powerful version of his hard-light projectors into each of his smaller projection points Holoß's holograms have gained a transparent hard-light coating, which allows him a layer of padding before his core systems begin to take damage. (Cost: 80 points = 20 passive. 20 point HP Barrier; Passive.)

Total Sig Points Required: 80/380
Total Sig Points Used: 240/380

Projector Adaptation: "Deer in Headlights": In past battles the full brightness of Holo's projectors has been unleashed to great effect, but in such an inefficient way that he rarely used the ability. After finding a workaround, however, Holoß has learned to focus the beams in such a way to stun his opponents, giving him a momentary advantage over his foes. (Cost: 80 points. 50 damage + Elec + Stun to one target. 2 TCD.)

Total Sig Points Required: 80/380
Total Sig Points Used: 320/380

Projector Adaptation: "Double Vision": By utilizing a clever method for power distribution that Aelieth coded into Holo, the Projection Navi can split his projectors to create two, identical bodies for a short time. Since his core program can only inhabit one body at a time, only one Holo benefits from Chip use and Signature Attacks. However, that doesn't mean that the double is only there to look pretty. Holo has full control over its movements and appearance, and will often times have it use similar attacks to his own, even if it can't actually damage anything, to act as a distraction. Once Holo can no longer maintain the double, either through extended use or an attack overloading the projection, the extra power siphoned off to fuel the double is released in a beam of electricity that lances towards the closest enemy.
(Cost: 60 points. 1 Decoy, lasting 2 rounds (20 x2) + Delayed Damage(Decoy ceases to exist): 20 damage (20) + + Elec (0) + Shot (0). 2 TCD.)
