High Pressure Relaxation

[D: SERAPHIM.EXE BATTLE DATA? That can't be good. Obviously, it'll drive Rass insane, and Seraphim will have to stop him and teach him how to control all that power, and the responsibility it brings after he sends Meleeman into a coma, removing him from the party for an entire disk.]
"Yeah... uh... great," MeleeMan grunted, throwing away his useless shield as he realized that the defense clearly showed his unmanly reliance upon such means of self-protection. Reaching down, he gave the navi what was the equivalent of a high-five, although he barely had to bring up his hand to do it. "Dammit, I was completely overshadowed. He got more zenny after all! I'm the MVP here... Why am I not playing up to par?" he wondered, crossing his arms and lowering his head moodily.

Meanwhile, Rania's friend moved closer to her and whispered into her ear for a split second, before Rania pushed her out a little further in protection of her personal space. "Geez, don't be so bashful!" Amelie groaned, leaning back in to whisper. "That Suitachi guy... Isn't he a master programmer? Did you notice he's been fiddling with his PET over there for a good while now?"

"Yeah, I guess so," she gulped, realizing that this could potentially lead to her friend discovering the falsehood of Suien's feigned identity. "I'll bet he's just... uh... programming something new! That's probably what it is."

"Well hey, get this! You'd say the two of us are relatively good looking, wouldn't you?" Amelie whispered to her friend, smiling slyly.

Rania looked down away from Amelie, blushing and refusing to answer at first. "Well, just so I'm not insulting you, sure, we are. But what's your point?" she finally asked, raising one eyebrow.

"Let's go over there and pester that Suitachi guy until he gives us free upgrades! It'll be easy, he can't just get up and leave the spring. If we just bother him long enough, we might be able to get exclusive products!" Amelie explained, barely managing to keep down her voice. "It'll be awesome! We'll be leagues above the other netops in our school!" she giggled, her fists shaking with excitement.

"N-No way! Uh... But..." she stammered, trying to think of a way out of the awkward predicament. "Doesn't that seem u-unethical? We can't just go over there and disrupt his relaxation for unlawful profit over other operators!"

"Nah. Besides, what do you mean 'relaxation?' The guy's on pins and needles!" she snickered. "Let's go put the squeeze on him until he caves in!"

Rania clutched her head, not sure what to do. Suddenly, she was saved by the voice of her navi shouting over the PET. "Dammit Rania!" his voice roared, as he stomped his feet angrily. "What is it about Rass that's got you all hot and bothered? It's that scarf, isn't it? Look at the way he's flaunting it!"

Rania raised her eyebrow, suddenly realizing that she was now in an even more awkward position than before he'd broken in. How was she supposed to explain her navi's apparent jealousy of a pink navi 1/3 his body weight? "Uh... Well, MeleeMan... you should know that..." she started, coughing into her fist as she tried to comprehend the ridiculousness of the situation.

"Can't even speak to me about it, can you? Why don't you take Rass as your navi then instead of me, if he's so great?" he growled nonsensically, as if it was his place to decide who his ally belonged to.

"Oh... Wait, what?" Rania asked, her eyebrows peaking as she felt her face heating up. "He really thinks that I'm like this because of Rass? That's almost unbelievable," she thought shaking her head quickly. "Still... does he really care about how I feel about him that much?"

"Too many eggs spoils the hatch, Rania. It's either me or Rass!" he snapped, crossing his arms angrily.

"Okay, you then," she laughed, comfortable enough with saying something that wasn't a complete lie.

"That's what I-" he started, raising his fist, then halted. "Really? Oh... Okay then. I was just kidding anyways. I don't want Rass to go anywhere." Realizing the position he'd put himself in, he crossed his arms and turned his back as sweat rolled down the side of his face. "B-Besides, it's the obvious choice; nobody could possibly abandon me. I'm the perfect navi. You were just kidding yourself all along," he smirked, as if Rania was at fault for the misunderstanding. "Come on, kiddo, let's head on out," he called out to Rass, following behind the navi.

Rania sighed in relief, then turned back to Amelie, who seemed to have recalled what she was asking for earlier, judging by the eager expression on her face. "Amelie... uh... I know! Why don't we just go legitimately by some upgrades! Take this money with you and go back to Scilabs for me, please? I can't really leave right now, because my Sensei had a distinct time he wanted to pick me up and... uh... he's picking me up here!"

"Say what? Suitachi's here, doofus!" Amelie groaned impatiently, whacking Rania across the side of the head. "How am I supposed to buy upgrades if he's not at the shop?"

"Th-That's the thing! You can leave the money on the desk for him!" she babbled, smiling as if she knew what she was talking about but at the same time realizing that she'd cornered herself into a terrible exposure of her lie. "Yeah! Or maybe he has an attendant working there for him right now! NO WAIT!" she exclaimed. "His brother! Suien Masters! Suien Masters is working at the shop!" she huffed, entirely incapable of keeping up the charade with her natural affinity against lying.

Amelie nodded, still raising one eyebrow skeptically. "Alright, but you owe me for this. I'm going to go snag my towel and get going," she sighed, heading over to the side and moving her lithe body out of the water. She quickly wrapped the yellow towel around her ample bust, then dried off her hair with another separate one. "It'll take me a second to curl my hair though. I can't go out in public without my curls!"

Rania gave an inward moan of despair as she sank into the steamy waters of the bath.

Amelie arrived back in the bath, huffing and drawing her towel around her as she ran back to the side of the bath-hole. With an exaggerated motion, she pulled back out her hair band and laid it off to the side. "Some guy was checking me out in the chip shop! He looked like he was a college guy too!" Amelie laughed, holding one hand to horizontally over her mouth in a cocky, victorious way. In an even more triumphant manner, she dropped her towel as if to flaunt her body briefly, then sank into the water quickly next to Rania. Without going too deep in, she took the time to tie her hair into a bun with a ribbon so as to keep it from getting wet this time around. "You wouldn't believe the trouble I go through curling my hair," she coughed, giving Rania her upgrade.

"Thanks, Amelie. And uh... yeah... it shows," Rania smiled awkwardly, perfectly willing to agree that her friend's hair maintenance seemed elaborate. "An HP upgrade... wait, I never told you what to get," Rania sighed, suddenly realizing that she'd forgotten to be specific with her request. "Oh well, I guess that's fine. MeleeMan should be a pretty good tank at this point."

"Ha ha ha! You know it!" MeleeMan gloated, flexing his biceps. "I feel more fit than ever!"

Amelie winked playfully at MeleeMan, leaning in over Rania's shoulder so that her breasts bounced just out of view of the screen. "You look more fit than ever too!" she giggled as Rania pushed her back off.

MeleeMan's mouth lowered for just a moment. Absent-mindedly, he again began to comment, "Who's your friend?" before recognizing Amelie's face. "Oh, I remember, the girl with the bigger-" he started, then bit his tongue yet again. "Dammit, nevermind."

Rania scowled back at him in a childish way, her face reddening as she became thoroughly irritated with what she perceived as her navi's infatuation with her friend's bust. "Is that all women amount to with you?" she asked, one dark eyebrow twitching as she spoke.

"Hey, can't argue with the facts," Adelie taunted, giving another pose from over Rania's shoulder. MeleeMan again stared momentarily before turning his head away as if he wasn't interested.

"M-MeleeMan! Unbelievable! My navi's a pervert!" she groaned in exasperation, raising her eyes to the sky. "As if being a chauvinistic moron wasn't already enough!"

"Ch-Chauvinistic... moron...?" he gasped, unable to comprehend how Rania could turn on him so quickly. "I thought we had a good thing going! Dammit! How the hell did this happen?" he asked himself, gritting his teeth as he crossed his arms tightly, one over the other. "I guess when you get right down to it, it doesn't matter how macho or how perfect I am. Some girls just don't know a good deal! The only way I could do it is if I had more charisma... More charisma...!" he thought to himself tapping his foot faster and faster as he tried to decide how to calm Rania, not paying the slightest bit of attention to the viruses that had appeared to face him. One thing he couldn't ignore, however, was the overwhelming moisture around him; in fact, there didn't appear to be any land at all. He realized too slowly that he'd already fallen into some fairly shallow water, but was losing footing fast. Gasping, two desperate wants flashed through his mind: the first was the desire for the charisma, but the second was the overwhelming urge not to drown.

Both of these desires were surprising satisfied. Before he knew what had happened, he felt himself charging back out of the water headlong. "The up joystick... I feel it! It's that simple! I can swim!" he shouted as he rocketed out from the sea. "Ha ha ha ha!" Water streamed off of his now white coat, shining especially at the dark trim. His burning eyes lit up from the glare of the light around him. SeraphimCross, the most charismatic of them all, had activated. "Tap the up joystick, Rania! Just keep tapping it to stay over water. This stage has an alarming pull, just like the sea!" he told her. "It's an interesting design."

Rania stared back at him dumbfounded, as did her friend. "Uh... Oh! It's Seraphim's data! You must have tapped in to it again somehow to perform cross fusion. I sure wasn't expecting that," she reasoned.

MeleeMan gave her a confident thumbs up, then turned back toward the viruses, still staying afloat with surprising ease. "Don't worry, Rania. These chumps can't give me any trouble at all so long as you keep your hands firmly on the joystick. Don't be afraid to move your hand up and down quickly over the control; it's release is spectacularly coordinated," he rambled on, preparing to load chips.

Rania stared blankly for a moment, then blushed intensely as imagery rushed through her mind. "The P-PET doesn't have a j-joystick!" she stuttered, wiping the image from her mind. "And I don't want to-!" she continued on defensively, then noticed Amelie again looking at her strangely. "I mean, sure, chips. I'll upload them right away."

"Good, good. I can't exactly view my own move list," he responded, then prepared his stance for battle. "Let's see... Magbolt, Thunder, and Bubstar. That should be plenty. I trust my good striker buddy Rass will have me covered with the rest of it!" he smiled. Drawing the magbolt, he started by attracting a virus towards him with it and thrusting powerfully outward. "See that, chumpy? My character has an insanely imbalanced strong forward punch! There's no way you could stand up against it." Moving on instantly, he clutched his hands together in a claw-like position. "Soul Fist Super Technique! IM-MO-BO-LI-ZOOOOR! HA!" he shouted, releasing electricity out as a slow moving ball towards another shrimp. "I've got no more time to deal with you! Your friends are begging for attention!" he smirked, moving for another group and bracing himself. "Soul Fist Super Technique! EN-TRAP-MENT!" he roared, releasing a blast of bubbles towards his enemies. "Now, while that ties you guys up, fruity over there can chew on this as well! Soul Fist! Ultimate Technique! CON-CUUUUUUSIOOOOOOON BUSTEEEEER!" he howled, reeling his arms back and releasing himself forward like a bullet-like projectile towards his opponents at amazing speed and splashing back into the water in a blur of motion. "I feel Seraphim's power... it's giving me the skill to succeed and the tact to look like the game's centerfold character while I do!" he smiled, nearly in tears as he clasped his hands together. "He's like a charisma cheat code!" he whispered to himself. "This form is perfectly god-like!" Grinning in satisfaction, he prepared himself to make a dive to the left or right in case he was attacked, finding himself able to completely ignore his fear of water while given the power of his friend.

Oh look, mused Tem nonchalantly, watching MeleeMan interact with Rania and her well-endowed friend, It appears as though we're going to be taking the proverbial command in this situation. Honestly, that redheaded little tart shows a remarkably low threshold of concern for her meatheaded navi. Either that, or she's a tactical failure for her inability to comprehend the basics of elemental properties.

Rass wasn't entirely sure how to respond to that statement, so he kept his mouth shut, not wanting to risk one of the tactical system's angry outbursts. Argo, having no such tact, eagerly responded in his usual crass nature. Heheh, who are you to lecture us, Tem? Just listen to yourself! he laughed, It looks like somebody's a little jealous, eh Ishamel?

AFFIRMATIVE, ARGO! replied Ishamel in agreement, SUPPORT SYSTEM TEM EXHIBITS QUALITIES GENERALLY CONSIDERED TO BE HYPOCRITICAL. SUGGESTION: IGNORE PREVIOUS COMMENTS AND COMMENSE WITH THE ACQUISITION ROUTINES!

Wh-What? How dare you! stammered Tem, sounding much more defensive than Rass would have hoped, given the implications, I-I merely disapprove of Miss Firebrand's skill as an operator! It has nothing to do with some juvenile crush on a brainless, tactless, hunk like MeleeMan.

The other three systems immediately fell silent as Tem completed her tirade. Finally, Rass cleared his throat to speak. "Ah... Tem? Did you just call MeleeMan a hunk?"

What? No, no, not at all! I said hulk.

Rass shook his head, "Nuh-uh,I h-heard hunk."

Argo and Ishamel howled with laughter. Panicking, Rass looked down at his chest. "Th-Then it's true? You actually *like* MeleeMan like that? I mean... he's a great navi and all, but I r-really don't think that it's g-going to work all th-that well. I mean..." Rass shuddered before continuing, "I m-mean, his name is MeleeMan, right? We are based off of a humanoid model, and as the core system the fusionist protoplasm reflects my model type." Tem didn't say a word, so Rass awkwardly pressed onward. "That um... means we have um... you know... an output module. Not an input."

Rass, even if I were interested in MeleeMan, the mechanics of reproductive intercourse ought to be the least of your worries. As you have so bluntly pointed out, your present configuration does not allow for such an action to be taken. In short, if we wanted to do something like that, it would be fundamentally impossible unless I... she froze as her eyes suddenly shifted into the wily, scheming look Rass knew all too well, ...unless I were the system administrator...

I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner! If I can get MeleeMan attracted to Rass, he'll have no choice but to give me the system administrator position! thought a very gleeful Tem, Sure, I suppose that would mean forcing Rass to act in a much more... inefficient... manner around him, but surely the ends justify the means.

"Uh, Tem?"

I mean... I only need to gain access to the physiological body files for an instant to establish a backdoor to the system administrator position.

"Tem, this is kind of important."

Yes! This is perfect! I'll be able to take command of this pathetic excuse for a body and finally shape this dumb-looking shell into an image suitable for my...

-*-

"Oh for binary's sake!" cursed Suien, his fingers flying over the keyboard, "Super Adventure Battle Monsters? I ran a search for a personality matrix, not a rom!" The dark-haired netOp groaned as he struggled to correct the new project's mechanics. "I heard they're cracking down on that sort of downloading nowadays. As if the day weren't already loaded with potentially illegal activities."

-*-

A blinding burst of light cut Tem's thoughts off in mid-sentence the confused subsystem found herself sitting a few meters away from the viruses. Tem froze as she sat on her haunches and glanced confusedly from side to side. Wait... wait... HAUNCHES? thought the subsystem, as she stared at her front paws... Wait, PAWS? The mortified Tem caught a glimpse of her body in a nearby puddle, and screamed...

"KitTeeeeeeeeeem!"

Tem emitted a sound befitting of her light-blue feline form. Her eyes shimmered in the tropical atmosphere as she drew back from the reflecting puddle, horrified at the latest developments. Whirling around in shock, "KitTem" saw what appeared to be a young human child with a pink collared shirt, sleek black pants, and unkempt silver hair. If it weren't for the newcomer's shining pink eyes, Tem would have had no clue as to the child's identity. "Ki-KitTem?" she asked inquisitively, bringing a paw to her mouth in surprise as her squeaky voice resounded across the battlefield.

"Yes! Go KitTem! Your high special attack stat and uncanny agility makes you an ideal opponent for water-type monsters!" cried Rass, brushing his silvery hair to the side and pointing an oddly skin-toned finger toward the opposing viruses, "This is just another skirmish in our continuing quest to become Battle Monster Champion!"

Tem hissed in discontent as she tore her gaze away from Rass' shameful new form and glared angrily toward the sky. Suien Matsumoto, I demand to hear an explanation for this... this... humiliation! she thought.

The tactical subsystem did not receive a direct answer from the dark-haired netOp — Suien simply muttered something about Seraphim's battle data, an R.A.S.S. download gone awry, and copyright infringement. In the place of coherent speech, Tem felt several battlechips being downloaded into her system. Bristling as she assumed a defensive stance, she faced off against the aquatic army with a look of frustration plastered upon her face. What the hell does that four-eyed nudist think he's doing? How am I supposed to use this data like this?! Chip data goes through the main body, which means that...

"All right, KitTem! Start things off with your Gatling Breath attack!" shouted Rass, his voice having been mutated into a high, prepubescent version of his original, "If we can faint the opposing battle monsters, we'll grasp victory in no time at all!"

Without a doubt, this is the most retarded battle configuration ever. thought Tem bitterly as she paced back and forth, unsure of how to proceed with Rass' latest command. Suddenly, the azure feline made a hacking sound, stopping to cough and turn toward the windbox. Is this... a... a hairball?! thought Tem as she struggled with the lump in her throat. A split second later, a burst of lethal energy poured from the feline fighter's mouth, separating into several brilliant lances of force. The shotgun energy detonated on contact, obscuring the scene with thick black smoke and making confirmation of the hit all but impossible. KitTem, for her part, could only glare her discontent and disbelief toward the sky, not wanting to humiliate herself further by resorting to that pathetic-sounding voice of hers.

Rass, meanwhile, had no such reservations. "All right, KitTem! Now show them what a true Tactical Type can do! Thunderbolt Breath!" he shouted in his disturbingly high voice, "Water conducts electricity, giving you a bonus to attack power!"

Dashing to the side as quickly as her four legs could carry her, KitTem ducked and weaved across the battlefield, seeking a more optimal position to attack her opponents. Realizing that MeleeMan had not only transformed into a ridiculous version of his formal self, but had begun an onslaught against the Shrimpy viruses, she pivoted in mid-stride and leaped onto his shoulder, shutting her eyes, breathing in deeply, and focusing on the aquatic viruses he had previously targeted. Her eyes instantly shot open as the electric-element battlechip downloaded into her system, and the felineform support system let loose a ripple of electricity that played across the battleground, sending a shower of sparks that clashed oddly with the support system's high-pitched "KITEEEEEEM."

With a nimble forward flip off of MeleeMan's shoulder, KitTem squared her legs toward her opponents and glanced furtively from side to side. Hmph, it seems as though that Meatheaded fool still hasn't managed to defeat those viruses. she thought, tensing her muscles in preparation, I suppose that means it's time for some evasive maneuvers. Self-preservation is all important in this particular scenario. Before she could react, however, Rass' voice rang out from the side. "Great, KitTem! I'll finish the round with a pair of support items!" shouted the silver-haired navi, "Double Whirlwind! Activate now!" Two windboxes appeared on either side of KitTem as the azure feline glared fiercely at Rass in disbelief. "K-K-KitTem?!" she yowled in protest, forgetting her speech impediment "Kit Kit KitTem, KitTem Tem!"

-*-

Outside, Suien groaned at his navi's latest antics and shot a nervous glance over toward the two underage girls on the other side of the spa. "I probably shouldn't care at a time like this," he muttered to himself, "but if they thought I was a geek before, this sure isn't going to help my situation..."

"Wow... such an utterly unmanly costume color he chose... and still he's surrounded in an air of suave confidence! He really is a match for my own machismo," MeleeMan muttered ironically, bobbing in the water as he regarded his ally's pink polo shirt with respect. "I'm inspired to new depths of battle prowess as I watch him command his partner. I too shall strive to soar to new heights with the skill of my attacks! Watch this, you newbies!" he shouted at the shrimp, diving underwater.

Rania's eyebrows perked once again as her navi disappeared from the monitor. "MeleeMan? You didn't actually just dive, did you? I thought you hated swimming! Can you even swim?" she asked unable to keep track of his movements.

"Hmph! Have you just been button-mashing this whole time? You know I have an extensive palette of skills that only needs the proper situation and sequence to be unleashed full force," he boasted, rubbing his nose with his thumb as he streamed through the water, using his boots' fans for propulsion. "Now, keep your eyes on me, you don't want to miss this combo. It's definitely one of the best animations in the game," he told her, then dove out of the water. As the surface of the ocean rippled with activity, Rania received a request for the last chip she could have expected: a firesword.

"No, really, MeleeMan, you're underwater, I can't-!" she griped, dumbfounded by the seemingly foolish idea. Before she could stop herself, however, she'd swiped the chip by reflex, finding herself waiting with bated breath to see what kind of stunt her navi would pull.

To her amazement, MeleeMan leaped from the water, his white coat sparkling with the glistening sea-water. In a quick motion, he spun the firesword twice quickly in a path toward his enemies, then stuck the weapon into his mouth. Completing the dive forward, he moved through the line of viruses and landed behind them headfirst.

Rania's mouth hung open in awe. She wasn't sure whether she was impressed, embarrassed, amused, or even repulsed. But whatever the case, she soon became aware of Amelie's obnoxious laughter nearby. "Wow, that navi of yours sure can move, eh? He's a riot!" she laughed. "GladiatorMan would just sink to the bottom if he got in a pool like that."

Smiling, Rania settled on a laugh. "I suppose he is pretty entertaining," she admitted with a sigh, sinking back into the water.

KitTem leaped upwards and backwards, sailing gracefully through the air and twisting mid-jump into an intricate series of flips. As she soared through the air, the tactical subsystem relayed a series of remote commands into the two windboxes. Instantly, the two summoned fans began turning at a high rate, churning the water around the remaining viruses and slowly causing the water to shift with the winds. Upon landing, the feline fighter sat back on her haunches and gingerly licked her right paw. Well, it looks like this little battle body of mine isn't so worthless after all, she thought, purring slightly in contentment, Besides, the design isn't all that awful. Despite their natural "cute" appearance, felines are independent and extremely intelligent. It's only natural that I would be represented in such a way. I bet Argo's form is like a dog! Or no, no, a monkey! A stupid, little, runty baboon with hairy arms and...

"The enemy's weak! Go Argoyle!" cried Rass, sending a black orb crashing into the ground beside KitTem. The small circular blob immediately began glowing and expanding, radiating an eerie green glow across the tropical battlefield. The startled KitTem leaped to her feet, the hair on her back bristling as the newly-arrived chunk of fusionist protoplasm slowly took shape. First, the viscous black material wrapped itself into a pair of legs the size and thickness of tree trunks. Then, the silver-studded armor came into being, a pair of batlike wings bursting out of its back with a sickening pop. Finally, the figure's grotesque head erupted from the neck, sporting a crown of powerful, intimidating horns. "Ar... ARGOYLE?!" roared the newcomer, looking down at its body in shock. Argo's monstrous new body unfolded itself to its full awesome height, and the chains surrounding its simulated rusty-iron blade rattled and clanked discordantly against each other.

KitTem was about to protest the unfairness of Argo's superior battle body, but before she could open her mouth to meow, the tactical subsystem felt a sharp tug at her back. Whirling around in surprise, she glared at the boylike Rass who, apparently unperturbed, raised his arm and pointed a thin finger in her direction. "Great Job, KitTem!" he shouted in his annoyingly prepubescent voice, "Take a break and let Argoyle finish the job! As a fully-evolved battle monster, his attack power should be high enough to compensate for your weakness! Don't worry though, you'll still get half the experience for this battle!"

Weakness? WEAKNESS? Rass, your brazen audacity is rivaled only by your monumental failure of assessment! thought KitTem, letting loose a barrage of catlike yowls as she was rapidly engulfed by a brightening burst of blue light, On top of this, why do I ALWAYS end up getting screwed over when he crosses?! I'm either subjected to the misguided and unwelcome advances of a meatheaded misogynist, or I'm transformed into a humiliating pussycat while Argo gets the more powerful configurations! There is no justice!

-*-

Suien Matsumoto, having no means of understanding the babbling Battle Monster, smiled to himself as he reviewed the favorable data that flowed through his PET. Despite having supplemented the incomplete Seraphim battle data with the Super Adventure Battle Monsters IV ROM, the Super Adventure Support System was performing several intervals above mean operating levels. For all intents and purposes, the augmented cross-style fusion technique could be considered an unmitigated success. The dark-haired netOp basked in his moment of glory...

...

...until he realized exactly what he had created — a geeky, otaku-style netnavi who attacked with characters from a children's video game franchise. Casting a weary glance over toward Rania and her friend, Suien sighed and wearily slid the ElecSword battlechip into the PET receptacle and slid deeper into the hot springs water, sinking as low as he could without submerging himself. What on earth have I gotten myself into? he thought, My dignity, my clothes, my manhood... what else can fate possibly take away from me?

-*-

While his operator and his tactical counterpart bemoaned their respective conditions, Argo seemed to be actually enjoying his present visage. Flexing his sinewy muscles experimentally before giving his massive iron blade a whirl, the melee support system smiled a grotesque grin through a set of razor-sharp teeth. Gyahahah! Looks like I hit the jackpot on this one! he thought, turning his head to face the cheering, silver-haired Rass, Rasshole over there's been reduced to a retarded little kid, and there's no Tem and Ishamel here to spoil my fun! This must be what it's like to not be burdened by the stupidity of those... er... stupid heads! Grinning maliciously as chip data was downloaded into his system, Argoyle turned his attention to the remaining viruses. The windboxes, having been programmed with Tem's meticulous calculations, had since gone to work making her plan a reality. The resultant currents were slightly offset from each other and designed to create a cyclonic stream of twisting wind energy around the Shrimpy viruses. Hefting the metal blade over his shoulder, the viridian demon recklessly charged into the fray, diving into the base of the windstorm and allowing himself to be swept upward into the storm.

"The Double Hurricane is still in effect! While you can't get the lightning style attack rush due to your Winged Demon classification, you can get a S.H.A.N.K. (Super High Altitude Negation Kill) bonus by comboing with its effect!" cheered Rass, causing Suien to groan a little in response, "Now Argoyle, use your Voltage Edge attack!"

Hahah, now that's more my style! laughed Argoyle as the chains surrounding his weapon glowed bright blue with electric energy, Can't say I understood everything you just said, Rasshole, but it's good that you're finally giving me the RESPECT I deserve! With that, Argoyle brought the iron weapon around in a wide arc, allowing himself to be carried upward by the wind and using its rotational velocity to further augment his own strike. The scent of ozone filled the air as the electrified blade spiraled around the vortex, aimed to slash each virus with its electrified force. Argoyle soared upward, his massive body tightening as he hefted the sword above his head and charged the remainder of the chip energy into the chains. At the peak of his wind-assisted leap, the hurled the ElecSword down into the vortex.

A brilliant flash of light later, Argoyle landed heavily into the water. Did that do it?

WindboxA/B: Clash against each other, trapping ShrimpyF, ShrimpyG, ShrimpyH in a vortex.
1: Battle Monster: Argoyle (Decoy)
2: Wait for the events of Aim's post to transpire
3: Leap into vortex, activate ElecSword, and spiral upwards
4: ElecSword (80, 160 due to weakness, 240 due to Sea Panels) ShrimpyF, ShrimpyG, ShrimpyH
5: Throw ElecSword into water vortex around ShrimpyF, G, and H, aim to zap surrounding viruses.
6: Ride wind out of the top of the vortex

Meleeman rushed in first swiping furiously with his Firesword at his enemies before retreating.

"Well, that was manly Rass, even if all in a sort of childish, marketable way. I think I'm going to back out for now. It seems Rania's clothes, er, ticket out... that is to say, she's ready to leave," MeleeMan sighed. "As much as I'd love to continue to fight the forces of evil on the net, our quest for justice remains for another time. Adios!" he saluted coolly, before disappearing from the net.

Rania sighed, glad to hear from Adelie that her grandfather had arrived with the outfit she needed for the carnival. "Thank you God! Just in time," she murmured, scampering out of the water as discreetly as she could and jumping for her towel. In a frenzy of motion, she barreled out of the room, as if more concerned about her embarrassment from being seen without proper carnival attire than being seen in only a bath towel.

Sadly, that evening with Suien was to be entirely forgotten until some time later in her hectic state.
