"Is there a part two to this plan, or am I about to get my hiney kicked?" Wizard was not used to battling. Not only was it not his forte, it was also not his idea of fun. However, what has to be done will be done right.

"Well," William says excitedly, "You got them pinned down! Now knock those pins over! Use these!" He quickly slots in the Cannon chip and shouts "fire!" Before Wizard has a chance to use his new right arm cannon, his operator starts to slot in another chip. "H-hold on, I'm not that quick!" Wizard fires a shot at the first virus he can aim at then jumps back as he anticipates a retaliating shot.

Suddenly, in his right hand where the Cannon used to be was a spikey CactusBall. Thinking quickly, he tosses it into the air, then uses his Rageclaw to spinning throw it like a ball in jai alai. "Give me a little more time," he wheezes, "don't just slot in willy-nilly."

"My name's William, not Willy, and who even is Nilly?"

An exclamation point appears on Wizard's screen as he is nearly struck by cannon fire. "Gah! This isn't quite what I had in mind when I wanted to get movin'" he complains, trying to get out of the way of the next shot, when he notices the two Eleballs. "You seein' these guys, kid?"

"Yeah," his enthousiastic NetOp replies, "Looks like the party's getting started!"

"Party? Not my idea of a good time. You got anything to deal with these pains?"

"Um...Aspirin," William jokes, while slotting in a Battlechip.

"No, I mean those viru- oh...ha, ha, ha." As his left arm transforms into a RageClaw, Wizard realized that William was messing with him. "Verrry funny. So what's the plan?"

"Lining up the shot, of course~"


William quickly explains his plan, and Wizard does his best to enact it. First, he carefully repositions himself next to the ElecBall not in the alleyway, watching out for any attacks. Then he swipes his RageClaw at the virus, attempting to grab it, followed by his visor displaying a dot matrix crosshair and his body twisting into a throw. If successful, this should put the virus in the alleyway with the others.

In a stream of data, the three-dimensional shadow of a tall, rails-thin navi appears, before pixilating into a more armored - but still awkwardly-skinny - form. His bright white, striped armor adds enough bulk to make him look like a strong breeze won't knock him over, and his shoulder armor makes it seem as if perhaps he was designed for some form of combat, but his intimidation factor is not incredibly high. Especially after his pure-black visor boots up to a dot matrix display of high scores.

"Congratulations," he cheerfully shouts to the net. "You have made it onto the high score b-"

"No, Wizard, focus," his operator interjects from meatspace. "I know jacking in disorients you, but come on!"

Wizard blinks - or an animation on his visor-screen does - and he sheepishly apologizes. "Sorry," he says, stretching. "You don't get to be my age without a few quirks. Now, what is there to do around here to get these old bones a-movin'?"

"Excuse me, sorry, look out!" William Gottally is making a spectacle of himself, running down the busy Electown sidewalks in a bright orange, hooded tracksuit with a belt. "Just two more...laps to go," he says to nobody in particular, turning the corner of the block. A series of beeps emanate from a clipped-on case on his belt. "Not now," William replies," I'm...almost done!" Halfway down the block, however, he is forced to stop and catch his breath.

William leans on the side of a building and opens his pouch. "What is it, Wizard," he asks, pulling out a shiny PET. Everything...okay? Phew... exercise is tiring..."

"I was thinking, with all that exercise you're doing," his navi replies, "perhaps you could let me stretch my legs? Its pretty cramped in here, you know."

"...oh, sorry, sorry! I'll get right on it. Just let me find some place to jack in." He looks around, and... "Got it! This electronics store sign!"

"Well, what are you waiting for," the impatient navi asks, "Let's go already!"

His right arm is like a normal navi's arm except bigger and armored, but his left arm is a permanent buster. This buster is chunky, with a clear top, where you can see that it is modeled after a pinball machine's ball launcher. His shoulders have shoulder guards shaped like bumpers, with a red star with a hole in it for the paint design — also the navi's symbol. His helmet has a yellow and red crest down it, and the black visor goes over most of his face, obscuring it. However, this visor is also a dot-matrix display. His back has two pinball-flipper-like attachments, like non-functioning wings. His chin has a spike that looks a lot like a beard.

Personality: Wizard is a cheerful navi, although one not accustomed to battling. As a former mascot and repair navi for Pinball Paul's Arcade, he knows a lot about pinball. He seems to be an old man, as he calls everyone things like "kid" and seems surprised at how big the net has gotten. He'll complain about battles on occasion, but is never one to shy away from a job that needs to be done.

Custom Weapon: Pinball Cannon: seems to work more like a pinball launcher than a buster. A ball materializes within, and is launched out. Charging is done by him pulling back the plunger.

Signature Attack: 10-Point Bumper
Wizard summons a giant pinball bumper that looks like his icon, but in the middle has the number 10 in it. It has 10 hit points, and if it is struck, counters once with a 10-damage microburst. [10 HP object + Counter(hit): Microburst(40)+Counter:10 damage] (2-turn cooldown)

There's nothing I want from Aaron and Vax, nor do I want to shelf them. I wish to make a completely new start.

Aaron's grip on his PET tightens as he tenses up and prepares for a difficult battle. "Four Boomers," he announces to Vax while inserting a Rageclaw chip, "which guard their front, and a BigBang at the center. This is going to be tough, and require expert timing."

Vax nods his masked head in agreement as he recieves chip data from is NetOp. "Yes," he says with a sigh, "very precise timing. You work on the timing, while I hurry and take care of the viruses."

"Oka-wait, what?"

Vax charges at the planet-navi, but is interrupted by an orbiting Boomer virus. He stops dead in his (lack of) tracks. "OH NO," he shouts. "YOU HAVE A LARGE P-" He clears his 'throat', and tries again. "Um, sir... you appear to have a large piece of shrapnel lodged in you. Allow me to remove it for you." He raises his right arm, which had become a Rageclaw. He then lowers and stretches it to the side before delivering a large slash. This is where things may get hazy. If successful in his slash, or if he misses, he jumps back and prepares to dodge. However, if he comes into contact with the boomerang, he then attempts to 'operate'. He tries to force his claws in between the Boomer and its 'rang, and attempts to yank the boomerang out and throw it at the BigBang virus. If the boomerang doesn't come out, however, his yanking and throwing may cause a different action - one of throwing the Boomer rather than the 'rang.

After recovering from stun, Vax shook himself and looked around. "Uh," he asked, confused, "What just happened? Where'd everybody go?"

"You...you won the battle," Aaron says happily, yet a hint of sadness was in his voice. "You fought quite well."

"Awesome. So why are you so sad, Johnny?"

"I'm...not Johnny..."

"I know that, it's my new nickname for you! On account of you being so rad." Vax fistpumps at his statement, which is a bit weird without a fist to pump with.

"That doesn't... nevermind. I'm sad because of what you said right before the battle, Vax. The 'You operate, and I'll operate' joke. The last time you said it was right before...before..."

"Before I kicked some major virus butt? Yeah, I'm just awesome like that. We done here? Jack out, Aaron.EXE!"

Aaron groans and facepalms. "One - you're the Navi, not me. And two, we aren't done here."

Requesting Battle 3

Vax begins his operation. He goes to insert the Eleball... but stops when he sees the PulseBulb blast it. "What the heck, man," he shouts in shock. "Now what am I supposed to do? If you don't want to be saved..." he then looks downtrodden as he delivers his next line.

"I guess I'll have to make your death as quick and painless, so you don't have to suffer."

Vax glides up to the virus, when suddenly, his right hand also morphs into a Rageclaw - one that is pure black, no light coming off of it. He swings his left claw in a large hook, and when he is finished with that swing, the regular Rageclaw fades to black as the strange Rageclaw fills in with color. He then performs a right hook, then compresses as the claws switch back. Finally, he stretches upwards in a large uppercut with the normal - yet suddenly pixelated - Rageclaw, and the black one fades away completely.

Aaron puts his PET down and stares at it for awhile. "Vax..." he slowly asks, "how did you do that?"

"What, switch my rageclaw from hand to hand? How do you switch your PET from hand to hand? You just switch it from hand to hand..."

Aaron forgets his surprise for awhile while he facepalms and says, "Okay, I get it. Enough about hands. Besides, you don't even HAVE hands!"

"...WHO STOLE MY HANDS!?"

"That's... not normal virus behavior," Aaron commented slowly, scratching his head. "No offense, Vax, but you should be pretty injured by now. These are tough viruses that will take a lot of strategy to defeat... or at least they should be."

Even though it was impossible to see his face, Vax looked quite thoughtful. "Hm... maybe they're sick. I think I better try to cure them, then. Send me my operating gloves."

"Your what? Oh..." Aaron quickly slotted in the RageClaw chip and nodded. "Right," he says, "This."

"Thanks, nurse. Now I-"

"I'm not your nurse."

"So? Now, I must perform an Eleball transplant to the PulseBulb."

Vax glides over to the Pulsebulb, his RageClaw shining with reflected cyberlight. He attempts to make an incision in the PulseBulb, which would normally not be possible due to its hard armor - but he seems to have noticed the heavy damage it took when it ran into the other, self-deleting PulseBulb. Either that, or he's just being stupid. Either way, his slash seems to leave a glitchy residue on the ground, and - if successful - in the PulseBulb. He then rushes over to the Eleball, slashes away from it in a hook, and continues his slash until he spins 360 degrees - trying to scoop and throw it at the PulseBulb.

"-and that's why you don't eat ro-" Vax was stopped in the middle of his annoying rant by a gang of electric viruses. "Great," he grumbles, rubbing his mask with his sleeve. He shakes his head and complains under his breath about 'more viruses'.

"Quit your complaining," Aaron chides, "this is what we're here to do. Let's take care of these viruses!"

"Yeah, lets. You operate... and I operate, heheh."

"Y-yeah, o-of course," Aaron sofltly says, his eyes watering. "Let's, let's do this."

"What's wrong, Allan?"

"N-nothing. And it's Aaron."

"What is?"

"Never mind, just unload these on the electric orbs."

Aaron quickly slots in the Cannon, Aquaneedle, and Shotgun chips in rapid succession while Vax fires them at the Eleball nearest him. The powerful cannon shot comes first, causing recoil that makes his shooting arm move away from his target and upwards, perfect for launching the needles upwards so they fall downwards at the viruses. While the needles fell, Vax aims his last shot, the piercing Shotgun, forward, and fires as soon as the needles clear.

Vax looks around at the lack of viruses. "Well," he chirps, "that was fun! Now we can get some chili dogwhatheheckwasthats, right? I'm still starving!"

"What are 'chili dogwhatheheckwasthats," Aaron groans, "although I'm pretty sure I don't want to know...?"

"I don't know. I was talking about getting food earlier, and said I wanted some, so I guess they must be pretty g-hey, Zenny cache!"

In fact, there was a small cache of Zenny laying where one of the Boomers was destroyed. Vax bent down to pick it up, but accidentally bumped it away with his 'nose'. He tried again, and despite his mysterious floaty appearance, he managed to trip over it. Fed up, he stood, and pointed one of his empty sleeves at the money, and summoned a pointer rod from his sleeve. Acting like a magnet, the money cache stuck to the rod, and when he lifted the rod up, the cash cache disappeared. "There you go, Aaron. Money for the chili dogwhatheheckwasthats."

"..."

Searching for battle 2

Vax vacuums up the bled data through his sleeves, and quickly looks reinvigorated. "Yummy yummy yummy," Vax says with glee. "That was delicious! But I'm still hungry..."

"Deal with the virus first," Aaron grumbles, slotting in a Shotgun chip. "and then we might get you some food."

"Okay," Vax shouts excitedly. "Sounds like a plan! Speaking of plans, I have a few!"

Aaron sighs."... okay, Vax. What are your plans?"

"Plan one! I eat the virus!"

"...no."

"Fine, fine," Vax continues, shrugging, "plan two: I treat the virus's wounds. It is happy, and explodes from happiness."

"...No again."

"Last plan," the navi whines. "I'm all out of plans besides this one, so you better like it. I stand still, let the weakened Boomer hit me now that I'm fully healed, and when the Boomerang is out of the way, I start blasting it!"

"N- actually, go for it. That might work!"

Vax put the plan into action. First, he transforms his left arm into a Shotgun. Then, he shifts his left side forward, aiming at the Boomer. He stands, unflinching, waiting to be struck by the boomerang. After tanking the hit, he readjusts himself back to aiming position. Eventually, he fires the penetrating shot, attempting to destroy the foe.

"Well, that didn't work." Vax tilts his head at the remaining Boomer. "You know, you really frustrate me. You know that, right? Okay, now that that's clear, Boomerangy - if that IS your real name..."

Vax quickly dives to the right, firing a grubby-looking syringe at the virus. Upon landing, he rolls to prevent himself from getting hurt from the fall, and to get back to his....feet(?), although the roll reveals nothing of what's under the cloak. "PLAN B! Enjoy your medicine!"

Meanwhile, Aaron goes over his data on both the Boomer type of virus and on Vax's condition. He occasionally thumps his PET against his hand or his desk. "Stupid thing," he grumbles. "Okay, got it! Vax?"

"Yessir...?"

"You appear to be hurt. Get ready to use your signature attack. However, aim away from the Boomerang part. It acts like a shield. Either fire at the sides or back, or wait for the Boomer to fire the boomerang. Got it?"

"Let's see, shiny shiny launchy thing go pwooosh, then I fire, or shiny shiny launchy thing blocks. I can also slippity-doo past the defenses on the sides or back.

"...close enough."

"READY!"

Vax checked to see if he could get a clear shot at the virus's weak points. If not, he would wait for the Boomer to fire again, and try to sneak a shot through while its shield is in motion. Either way...

"TIME FOR LEECHES! HAHAHAAHA!"

Both sleeves begin firing horrible, wriggling, sucking, razor-toothed leeches at the Boomer, attempting to latch on to the Boomer and start sucking out vital data. If successful, they will engorge themselves on the metaphorical blood of the poor virus, inflating like macabre water balloons, until they pop, sending the data back up the sleeves of the mad plague doctor Navi that released them.

"Next," Vax continues, "we must vivisect the- OW!" A Boomerang managed to slice open Vax's shoulder, causing him to yelp in pain. The overcoat quickly sews itself back up, but the damage has been done? "Who did that? Which one of you threw that at me? You are allll goiiing toooo diiiie!"

Vax rushes up to the remaining, undamaged Boomer and delivers a powerful slash, trying to cleave it in half - regardless of whether the guard is up or not. "DIEDIEDIEDIIIIIIEEEEE!"

"Calm down, pal," Aaron says, frantically yet trying to be soothing. "Just... calm down. It will be okay."

"CALM DOWN!? YOU CALM DOWN! THE VIRUSES ARE THE ONES WHO NEED TO CALM DO-"

If Vax didn't have the mask, he might be grinning evilly. "Wait... they ARE the ones who need to calm down," he says slyly. "Aaron, a round of sedatives, please?"

"What sed-"

"Chip in the Needles, I'll make them sedatives."

"Um... okay." Aaron shrugs, and slots in the AquaNeedle1 chip. When it arrives, Aaron notices the data for the chip on his PET is acting... strange. "Um... there's something wrong with-"

"Nothing's wrong, time for medicine!" Vax fires the AquaNeedle, and... nothing. "Um... I think I left my safety on. Let's try it a-"

Purple needles surrounded by occasional static fall from the sky, attempting to pierce the Boomers from above. Their usual payload of simple, aqua-elemental pain has been augmented by corrupted data. This must be the 'sedative' Vax was referring to.

Vax sulks as he continues down his path. "I feel so ashamed," he whines, "ashamed and horrified. How could I have let those innocent creatures go by themselves with a Diamondy virus?"

Aaron considers his next words carefully. "Uh...well... I'm sure that they-"

"I'm hungry. Let's get some chili dogwhatheheckwasthat?!"

A Boomerang swiftly moves past one of his arms, grazing his overcoat which quickly repairs the minor damage done to it.

"That was a Boomerang. The Main Attack of the Boomer series of viruses," While continuing his explanations, he slotted in chips. "Sometimes able to be copied, here's a cannon, after defeat and used as chip data. It was obviously fired by, Rageclaw1 standing by, the one that you attacked with the Cannon."

In fact, right after the Cannon materialized under his left sleeve, he immediately sent a blast of energy from it straight at the Boomerang-less Boomer. The Cannon disappeared, and his right sleeve suddenly has a sharp claw poking out from it.

"Yeah... yeah, that's interesting, yeah... uh-huh,..."

"Vax, I stopped talking."

"I see, hmm... yup, oka- oh, right, sorry. Stragety time, right?"

"Right. What you need to-"

"TImes up, let's go! GYaaaa...whoosh!"

Vax acted like it was going to charge head-on at another Boomer, but then attempted to dodge to the inside. As soon as it thinks it has given the Boomer enough time to fire its enormous weapon, he slashes at the virus. "Just make a one-foot incision at the metaviral oscilli..."
