I've been meaning to get back into writing for a while now. Work and school though...Man. And yeah, I plan on making a quick run through of any potential rules changes before going to town. Figure I'll shelve either Wolfman or Durandal or both and start fresh with a single Navi/Op pair.

RE: Hello!
Hello!
Hello everyone. My name is Zanallen, but you can call me Zan. I found this place while I was wandering the net and thought it looked pretty cool. It reminds me of a few other play-by-post RP sites that I used to frequent. Now, I am not entirely sure on how your system works, but I am sure I'll pick it up quickly. Nothing to it, but to do it, yeah? Hands on experience and all that. Anyway, I hope to get a character squared away soon so I can RP with ya'll.

Calibre.Exe
NetNavi
Name: Calibre.Exe
Gender: Female
Element: Elec
Subtype: Break
==Appearance==
Calibre is designed as an amalgamation of various anime and video game genres. On the exterior, Calibre looks like a "giant" mecha of the super robot variety. In reality though, her robot form is a powered mechanical suit that protects the female form within. Fully suited up, Calibre stands at just over seven feet and weighs close to seven hundred pounds. The suit is obviously robotic in nature, fully armored and covers her from head to toe. The armor is crafted from an undisclosed metal and painted blue and silver. The armor is non-gendered and bulky enough to distort any semblance of her human form, a feature that generally leads to a bit of confusion when combined with Calibre's feminine voice. Calibre's rounded chest plate, helmet, gauntlets and boots are blue while the rest of her armor is silver.
In the center of Calibre's chest plate lies the power core for her armor suit. The core is a fist sized metallic sphere that houses a crystalline compound. The crystal continuously produces energy that is accumulated within the sphere and siphoned out through wiring to the various parts of the suit. The sphere is generally housed within the chest plate and protected by several layers of armored shielding; however, the chest plate can be bisected to expose the core incase Calibre needs to initiate an emergency vent of suit's power core.
Calibre's main source of weaponry is micro fabricators built into her suit. Using the suit's energy core and base materials from the environment, Calibre can construct various weaponry for use on the fly. The fabricators are capable of producing weapons within mere moments; however the quality is generally poor due to the expedited nature of construction and deteriorates within a few uses. Due to the uncertain nature of her primary weaponry, Calibre's suit is equipped with a myriad of back-up weaponry. Her left forearm plate conceals a pair of 9mm submachine guns while the underside of her right forearm is equipped with a plasma blade. The blade opens backward, extending beyond her right elbow, but can be detached and used in a regular manner. Two triangle shaped boxes extend from Calibre's shoulder blades, each about a foot long and four inches thick. The boxes open by splitting down the middle to deploy rocket boosters. These boosters allow Calibre to achieve a sudden boost of speed to aid in offense or defense; however, they are not yet calibrated to allow her to achieve flight.
==Personality==
Calibre is action oriented and far more outgoing than Yuudai. Her personality was modeled after that of various heroes from anime and games. She won't back down from battle, though she doesn't intentionally attempt to provoke fights. She worries about Yuudai's antisocial nature and has decided to take the place of his estranged family. She does her best to try and get him to interact with other people, usually by making excuses for him to go to the store or tricking him into interacting with other NetOps. She tends to think of herself as an older sister to Yuudai, despite being created by him.
Calibre is intelligent, though she has book smarts rather than street smarts. She has a firm grasp of combat tactics and how to best utilize her fabricators for maximum potential. Unfortunately, despite being far more outgoing and sociable than Yuudai, she is still mainly limited to the same experiences as her NetOp. As such, she doesn't have a lot of experience with the world outside of Yuudai's apartment. She is naïve and it has gotten her into trouble a few times in the past. One of the reasons that she wants to get Yuudai out into the world is so she can experience more of it herself, rather than reading about it through books or the internet.
==Custom Weapon: Micro Fabrication Module==
Calibre's micro fabricators utilize nano machines to allow her to break down surrounding material to produce various weaponry on the fly. The modules only take a few moments to produce any given item; however, said items are of questionable quality and tend to deteriorate within a few minutes. Luckily, she can continue to produce weapons as long as her power core holds out.
==Signature Attacks (60/60 points)==
Core Ventilation: Calibre's prototype energy core is constantly producing energy that needs to be dispersed to prevent a meltdown within her mechanized combat suit. In order to avoid an overload, Calibre can expose the sphere containing the crystalline core and vent the excess energy directly into the space around her. By directing the surge of escaping energy, Calibre can improvise a beam of intense heat and radiation to damage her opponents. Modules on each side of the core siphon off minute amounts of energy to repair the suit's various functions.

Yuudai Watanabe
Operator
Name: Yuudai Watanabe
Age: 21
Gender: Male
==Appearance==
Yuudai is not the most physically imposing of individuals. He stands at only 5'9" and weighs around 155 lbs. He is quite thin with little muscle tone. This is due to spending most of his days inside his apartment playing video games or watching anime. His has pale skin with dark brown eyes and hair. His hair is short, but almost always messy. He has poor eyes sight and is forced to wear glasses with thick lenses. Yuudai was born with a weak constitution and was a sickly child. He generally dresses in khaki pants paired with t-shirts. Said t-shirts are often adorned with characters from various mecha anime or video games.
==Personality==
Yuudai a geek. He doesn't work or go to school and instead lives off his family's fortune. He spends most of his day watching anime or playing video games and rarely goes outside. His small stature and weak constitution caused him to forgo most outdoor activities as a child. This caused him to become an outcast amidst the rest of the children his age. He grew accustomed to being alone and developed an antisocial personality. He has few friends and doesn't feel the need for them. He rarely interacts with anyone other than his Navi and the few times a month that his mother calls to check on him. His parents consider him to be a black sheep of the family, especially considering that his older brother and sister are both outgoing and sociable. Instead of dealing with Yuudai, the Watanabe family purchased a small apartment for him to live in on his own. The situation works perfectly for Yuudai, though Calibre does worry about his lack of human relationships.
==PET Modifications==
Yuudai has a custom PET design that resembles the communicator from his favorite anime. The body of the PET is blue and silver and the screen comes with a flip down protective cover designed to look like Calibre's helmet. The PET is downloaded with some of Yuudai's favorite battle music to help get him in the mood when Calibre is virus busting. Once Yuudai has slotted in a battlechip, the system is set up so that Calibre can activate the chips using voice commands.

RE: Showbizz Generational Violence Event
Durandal sighed with relief when the referee signaled the end of the match. Vee had given him more trouble than he had thought she would, her subtlety and skill proving more than a match for his straight forward approach. He had managed to win in the end, but he knew he would need to improve if he wanted to keep winning.
The knight took another piece of cloth and used it to wipe down his sword before sheathing it. Vee approached him to offer him a position in whatever group she was apart of.
"I shall think on this," Durandal answered Vee. "My duties to Milady Katherine take precedence, but if she is willing then I am as well. Thou fought well and thy style is an interesting one. It would be my pleasure to spar with thee in the future."
Durandal saluted Vee, fist pounding against his chest, before waving to the crowd. He bowed to Showbizz once again and headed back toward the teleporters.
"An excellent fight Milord," Hauteclere congratulated him. "I knew you would prevail."
"My thanks," Durandal answered. "Though the battle was hard fought and closer than I would have liked."
"But you did it," Katherine said. "You've reached the finals. Now we get a sword no matter what."
"Aye," Durandal answered before stepping onto the telepad. "But I do so wish to win."

RE: Showbizz Generational Violence Event
Durandal found himself grinding his teeth in frustration. He had battled few opponents who were as cautious as this ninja was turning out to be. As a knight, he was generally the one playing the defensive game. He would sit behind his shield and his armor and let his enemies break themselves upon his walls. He was out of his element pressing the offensive in such a manner.
"Milady," Durandal called out. "I pray thee, does thou have any suggestions?"
"Sorry to say this," his NetOp answered. "But no. I understand a few of her moves, but I don't have any experience with countering them."
"Perchance," Hauteclere paused a moment. "If she will not come to thee, Milord, then thou shall have to find a way to come to her."
"I would rather not advance recklessly," Durandal muttered.
"Then thou might be able to force her hand."
"Mayhap..."
"Oh yeah," Katherine sounded excited as she slotted in a second battlechip. "Try using this with your sword!"
Durandal nodded, feeling the rush of battlechip energy surging through his system. He tightened his grip on both his sword and shield and adjusted his stance to put the two Vees one either side of him rather than in front and behind. He activated the battlechip, watching as faint blue lines of energy perceptible only to his eyes reached out all around him.
The knight directed the lines of energy toward the ninja who had been standing behind him. He figured that the real Vee would attempt to sneak up behind him while her was distracted by her shadow clone. The blue lines of energy sought out any form of metal on Vee's body, tying it and her to Durandal's shield. He focused on the lines, planning to draw them tight with one quick tug and send the ninja tumbling across the distance between them. With luck, he would be able to deliver a devastating shield bash straight to Vee's face and hopefully stun her long enough to deliver a few extra blows.
Once Vee was drawn to him, Durandal planned to lash out with his blade. He was certain that he would be able to deliver two quick chops with his blade before Vee could pull away again. At least, that was the plan. He wanted to disable her or at least slow her down and keep her within range of his strikes. He would aim one strike to her shoulder and the other to her thigh, planning to cripple the girl if he was unable to defeat her outright.
Durandal pivoted on his right leg, shifting his weight to bring himself around the ninja. He kept his shield raised high, but still didn't want to paint himself as a target for Vee's sneaky tactics. As he moved, he thrust his blade forward, aiming to impale the girl with his sword. As he had done before, Durandal planned to use his momentum to lift the girl off her feet on the end of his blade. Her clone was becoming a nuisance and he wanted to delete it if he could. Once more he planned to hurl one Vee into the other and attempt to figure out which ninja was which once and for all.

RE: Showbizz Generational Violence Event
Durandal growled in pain as the kunai lodged itself between two of the steel plates of his armor and pierced the mail beneath. He dropped the dented remains of his shield to the arena floor, the blackened steel vanishing into a short stream of data as it struck the ground. His hand now free, he reached down and removed the kunai sticking from his armor. The knife gave him a small shock that traveled through his arm and spread through his systems. It was enough to startle him, but he was still ready for battle.
"You alright?" Kat asked.
"I am fine, Milady." Durandal answered. "Momentarily disoriented, but fine. I am not accustomed to such trickery."
"Just do your best," Katherine encouraged him. "It is all anyone can ask."
"Aye Milady," Durandal answered, a grim expression on his face. "Though damn me, but I want to win."
"Then get out there and kick some ninja behind."
Hauteclere shouted some encouragement of her own. The young woman effectively told Durandal to duck and weave and the knight took her words to heart. It might be best to pause a moment and observe his opponent instead of charging in once more. He decided to hold back and study Vee before attacking again.
Durandal focused for a moment, forming a second shield to replace the first. This shield was black with scarlet embellishments. The heraldry of this shield was a flaming sword lined with ruby dust. The sword bore a cruciform hilt to retain the cross motif. The shield seemed to pulse for a moment, releasing an inner heat that washed over Durandal's wounds and relieved some of his pain.
With shield in place, Durandal strafed to his left. He held his shield and sword at the ready in case he needed to fend off one of Vee's attacks, but he made no move to advance. Instead he merely watched his opponent. He observed her movements, attempting to learn more of her and her subtle fighting style.
"Come then," he taunted Vee. "Let us make an end of this!"
Summary:
1. Stun'D!
2. Forte Con Fuoco: Flame Shield (Heal 30hp + 3-Hit Shield) to self

RE: Mission Request
This is Victor Ulrich reporting in. We managed to locate the building in question. The exact location will be within the data packet I am sending you. The building has armed guards, at least two though there may be more. Within the building seems to be a furnace and kitchens. We encountered several chef Navi along with strange creatures that looked to be crafted from pastries and breads. We scaled a few floors of the tower and entered through a large red door. Within we found the master of the tower, a Navi known as PieMan.
PieMan refused to answer any questions that my Navi put forth to him. We were going to press the issue, but DragonierMan had become poisoned through consuming one of PieMan's pies. The poison seemed to be incredibly detrimental to his systems and could possibly have shut him down completely. PieMan then created two more of his pastry monsters. At that time, I was unwilling to risk my Navi in single combat against PieMan and his two accomplices. As such, we were forced to retreat with the caveat that DragonierMan be cured.
I had thought to regroup and try the tower again, but either the cooks and guards were replaced or they had enough time to recover and returned to duty. If we were to press forward again, we would be forced to make our way back through all of PieMan's defenses. As we were only tasked to investigate the building, and not of its entirety, I decided against a second attempt and had my Navi jack out to rest while I reported our findings.
Sincerely,
Victor Ulrich
