As TempoMan zipped to the section of the counter that Jazz approached, he nodded and smiled at the greeting, but didn't seem to directly recognise the new-look hare. He grinned and brought forward a small data crystals, passing it across the counter.

"Must have been a while if you're calling them that, friend. I don't think we've used the term 'signature reset' in years... they're called Process Edits now. Works about as you'd expect though. Let me know if you..." He trailed off as Jazz devolved into a heated rant that was clearly not directed at him. He held his peace and then retrieved the second part of the order swiftly.
"I can get you one of those too, no problem. I... hope your hunt goes smoothly." He processed the payment in short order and did his best to offer the other navi a reassuring smile; friendly as he was, this clearly wasn't his business.

As she approached the counter, Amy's greeting drew the attention of the shop navi back to herself - his own gaze momentarily distracted by the small Sakura with a curious expression. She brushed it away after a moment though, and gave Amy a welcoming smile.

"Hello, yes, I can get that for you, just let me confirm for a second..." He appraised Amy briefly with a measuring eye then nodded and reached below the counter to select the right packages for her and sliding them across the counter to her. With the same motion he lifted his hand to accept her payment and nodded again, making the zenny swiftly disappear.

"That's a v10 and 11 process upgrade for you. Do come by again if you need anything else!" TempoMan gave her another brief, amiable wave, before another navi's shopping needs drew his attention. As he moved away, he spared another short, curious glance at the small child in the store, but quickly returned to his other business.

"Thank you for waiting! Two powerups and two process upgrades... one moment," he said, taking the glowing zenny packet and subsequently tapping the console next to him. A scanning light briefly washed over Lyntael's body, before a few nondescript boxes with "UPGRADES" and a happy-looking Tempoman caricature waving a greeting printed on the top. The shopkeeper Navi blinked for a few moments, before sighing. "Er, right, those weren't supposed to be out on production yet..." he said, returning a sheepish look to Lyntael. "It should be all in there, though. Thank you for shopping with us, and have a nice day!"

TempoMan perked up and nodded towards Amy as she arrived and gave off all the signs of a navi new to purchasing upgrades. He offered her a reassuring smile.

"Yes indeed, welcome! Upgrades and repairs, if you need them." He paused while she made her request, then nodded again, turning to one side and accessing a small console that swiftly materialised several small packets. The three each looked a little different as he laid them out on the counter in front of her and accepted the payment in return.

"Oh, no need to worry about physical parts - that's all become pretty optional in recent years you know. We still sell physical chip upgrades in the main store, to operators, of course, and it's convenient for some, but really, the physical chips just contain firmware updates and efficiency restructures that work cumulatively with each other. It's not too difficult to do the same thing with direct data transfers just like these!" He grinned again and pushed the three upgrades across to Amy.

"It's all pretty straight forward, but you might need your operator to grant permissions and confirm the updates, on their side, once you get around to installing them. Anything else I can get for you today? If not, do have a good morning!" He tipped an invisible hat towards Amy and concluded their business, then turned his attention towards the other navi that had entered behind her.

Turning around to face Dragonierman, Tempoman would give a light bow as he did. "Expensive upgrades? Well lets see he- Holy...o-okay then...that'll be...seventy-eight hundred and seven-hundred fifty zenny then. Did you plan on paying by card or..." He continued on, eyes going wide as Dragonierman SLAMMED that massive sack of zenny onto the counter, every passerby looking intently as the sack nearly took out the entire counter by way of it's weight alone.

Tempoman, obviously MORE than a little disturbed at such a massive bag of zenny, hurriedly picked up the upgrades requested and tossed a tied up bag of everything to Dragonierman, figuring he would catch it, he would need a new counter...but the pricy upgrades combined with the warlord's penchant of utter destruction of everything in his way would far more than cover it. "H-Have a good day sir! And please...a zenny transfer next time? We...can't exactly afford you to...destroy our counters each time you come in."

Turning around from some busy orders he had been putting in for, the navi would give a smile and a nod at Courser's appearance. "Just a second sir, just give me a-" He began, pausing briefly at the mention of a shark. "I'm sorry, you mean- No, nonono, nobody's THAT crazy. Anyways, order noticed, give me a second."

He spoke hurriedly before turning back around, shaking the mention of a shark from his head as he grabbed the two upgrades for the navi, turning right around swiftly as he yanked them off the shelves, pushing them onto the counter. "You're in luck, these are the last ones we've got in stock for the moment. Shouldn't take too long to get them back in though!" He mentioned, taking the crystal with a nod. "Have a good day sir. And, please, there's this new "trend" going around...please be a -bit- more reasonable than some of the other younger navis..." He would continue on without a lost beat, shaking his head again with a mumble under his breath. "'Cybeast Challenge'...what is with these kids these days? That's just poking the hornets nest..."

After entering and listening for a short while, ScorchMan eventually reached out to find a shopkeeper using some fairly safe quick deduction. He was somewhere just shy of the middle area of the store, by his best guess, but the voice the responded as he made his enquiry was helpful and profession.

“Hi there, just one moment sir...” There was a pause of about a second or two, and the sense of the navi nearest him moving slightly; small sounds of small objects contacting and sliding against larger displays followed before he had the sense of the other navi giving his attention more fully to him.

“Well, as you say, this is your first last and only stop for any navigator needs. Not just new battlers, but experienced virus busters and grizzled veterans alike as well. We stock everything you could need for navis of all capabilities.” There was another pause as, presumably, the speaking navi assessed ScochMan properly; the list and chip was received and accepted out of his hand.

“That ought to be no problem at all, if you'll just step this way...” ScorchMan was able to sense the close proximity of the navi moving near him, though the shop-keeper didn't ever actually reach out or touch him directly. “Just left here sir... that's right. And here we are...” A short digital registry and transfer sound followed, before a slim data loop rested neatly over one of ScorchMan's hands; it immediately communicated itself as a short tether to a number of products whose signatures matched his requests.

“Everything is in order there. Do have a good day.” There was another short pause, but the shop navi spoke up again after clearing his through quietly. “I know this might be out of place, sir, but I feel I ought to mention it, just in case, but as well as navigator supplies we do also handle a number of deeper system processes, repairs and recovery operations for navigators who suffer long term detriments – permanent crashes of various systems, that sort of thing. Your operator would have to make a more formal appointment, of course, but there is a lot we can do. I apologise; I don't know your circumstance. Many newer navis aren't aware that we offer those services though, so I felt it was worth mentioning. Either way, good day to you, and do come again!”

By the time Tem had tested out her new autonomy and made her way to the counter, TempoMan had zipped across to greet her with a smile. Despite the open field on her unintentional posing, the shop-keeper retained a professional focus on her face, except where he was obviously checking to make sure she wasn't going to fall and hurt or break anything.

"Easy there miss, welcome!" He opened his mouth as though to continue some kind of longer greeting, or maybe to ask what she needed, but Tem was quick to respond with a well ordered list of parts and with a level of clear articulation that seemed to catch the store-navi off guard, juxtaposed against her unsteady demeanour. He nodded instead.

"That won't be a problem at all. One moment." He ducked behind the counter briefly, then returned with several small data packets. "Starting from base level expansions today? What number process firmware does you navigator need? Oh, and if it's all for the same navigator, you don't need to worry about the process edit at all - one comes built into every process upgrade as standard these days, so you're already all set for that." A few other small questions followed as TempoMan discerned what version numbers of different parts Rass was up to, but after an efficient back and forth Tem was presented with the neat stack and her payment taken.

"There you go! Some hefty defence there. Good luck out there, and come again if you need anything else!"

The helpful prog had to wait a moment before he was greeted; it had approached TempoMan himself, and the navi was just finishing up a separate call, a small data screen in front of his eyes.

"No, the store is safe. No-one was hurt. Yes, I think there might be at least one navi in danger. Of course, I'll have the store security footage forwarded. Of course. Thank you." After another moment, the opaque screen slid away and TempoMan turned to the prog.

"Sorry about that. What can I do for you?" He nodded at each request in turn while the prog relayed its orders. "That's right. One moment." The store-navi quickly retrieved the requested upgrades and passed them across to the hovering prog after he did a cursory check of the payment. "There you are. thank you for shopping, and do let your owner know that their business is always appreciated." With a last nod, he concluded the transaction and waved the prog on its way.

As... something... made itself known in the net-navi shop, Tempoman observed it with caution form behind the counter. Whatever it was was unnerving, but if it was a hostile virus or some kind of attack, the store's systems would have purged it already. About to put a call through to someone more trained to fix a mess like that, the server paused when a figure, or parts of one, bubbled to the surface. Other patrons were giving the mass a wide berth now, but TempoMan had a job to do.

"Er... can I help you... uh... miss?" He ventured, leaning across the counter a little, but still not daring to get too close to the dubious mass. He flinched back as it extended and deposited a mess of data on the counter. Slowly, like a person at hold up, TempoMan nodded and retrieved the parts, gingerly sliding them across to the tendril. He used a quarantine mitt to recover and encapsulate the 'payment', for now.

"Okay... that, um, all seems correct, uhh, miss." He leaned away, trying to keep a calm expression. "Have... a good day...?" He ventured, hoping that whatever this was would depart after a single transaction.

TempoMan was quick to zip across to the section of counter that Asymptote approached and gave the navi and and a smile as he processed the card and prepared the bundle up upgrade parts. It only took a few moments of bustling before they were handed across to him in a small carry packet with the navi shop's logo on the top.

"Larger order this time! It always just feels so nice and neat when people order their upgrades in round numbers, don't you think? Here you go, you're all correct and in order. Enjoy your upgrades, and do come again soon!" The store-keeper navi waved Asymptote off in a friendly way, before moving away to greet another customer.

By the time Vasilia approached the counter one of the store's Tempoman look-alikes had stepped across, free of other customers and ready to assist her. He offered a simple greeting with a smile as she searched for her cash.

"No trouble at all. I'll be back in just a moment!" It was indeed a singular moment, as the assistant seemed to blink out of sight and then back again, almost like he flickered, but was now holding two sets of data, encased in simple-looking blue capsules. "Here you are. One Version One Hp Memory, and Process Upgrades Version One and Two. That's thirteen hundred zenny altogether." With a brief nod he accepted her payment, and passed the upgrades across to her. "Thanks for your purchase, and come again!"

Vasilia GET: Hp Mem, PU V1 & V2

One of the more nondescript NormalNavi store attendants perked up its head at Courser's request. Receiving the blue zenny data crystal, he decrypted it quickly, confirming its contents before tucking it away. "Right away, sir. Please wait for a moment," the Navi said, before producing a set of upgrades on the counter in front of him with a graceful bow. "Thank you for shopping with us. Please come again!"

"Need a quick change, sir? No problem!" Tempoman slid across to Asymptote and listened to his request with a quick not, then darted away into the back of the shop area. He returned after a second or two, handing him a small process editor with a smile.

"Good luck sorting yourself out! Come back when you need another, or if you want to upgrade!" He waved the navi off before turning to other, more boisterous customers.

The shop was bust and both Exorcist and Nightshade found themselves met at different service desks by TempoMan. It was unclear which one was the real TempoMan and which was a stand in. Maybe they bother were?

"Bulking up there I see, ma'am, let me just check that for you..." His eye passed over Exorcist with a quick appraisal, then the upgrades she had selected, before he nodded. "Excellent." With a short gesture, exchanged the upgrades for her large investment of funds. "Hope they serve you well, and do come again!"

A short way down the service desk, the same TempoMan stepped to the counter to meet Nightshade as he zipped up, nodding a few times as the excitable navi listed his order.

"Not a problem young, sir. I'll have those for you in a jiffy." He cast a similarly appraising eye over the young navi and nodded to himself. "Right, I know what versions you need. One moment." With a brief turn, Tempoman faced Nighshade again, precisely one moment later, though he was now holding a moderately stacked bundle of upgrades in separate data packets. After he made the exchange, the shop navi winked at him with a grin.

"There you go. Enjoy, and good luck impressing people out there. Come back when you need more!"

Turning back around towards Terra at her next inquerry for purchases, Tempoman took the woman's money and slid her an element shot. "Come again!"

As Terra flagged down a shop assistant, it turned out to be Tempoman himself who came to her rescue. He took her back to the counter quickly with a nod and a smile.

"More buster upgrades, hmm? We've been getting a lot of requests for those just recently. Some big firmware update, I imagine. well, let's have a look at you..." A brief scan light traced over Terra, before the navi gave her a nod. "Right, and it was four, was it? I'll have the right ones for you in just a moment."

In a gesture that took precisely one moment, tempoman turned around in place, and by the time her was facing Terra again ,he was setting a small data container down on the counter in front of her, with partitions for each upgrade.

"For you, that'll be a flat twenty-six grand zenny." He nodded and smiled to her again as the transaction was completed. "Excellent. Do enjoy your upgrades, and come again soon!"

Terra Lose: 26000z
Terra Get: BusterUp v5, 6, 7 and 8

As Jazz approached, Tempoman was alredy zipping across to his position from serving another navi, but gave a polite smile and wave all the same.

"Good morning, what can I get for you... Buster upgrades? No problem. Just a moment." He ducked behind the counter and popped up again in precisely one moment, now sliding the requested software across to Jazz. "Here you are, two buster upgrades, and your shoe program. That'll be 7500." Once the transaction was processed, he stepped back from the counter and inclined his head.

"Thank you. Enjoy your purchases, have a good day, and do come again!" a moment later the approach of a different navi drew his attention and he darted away quickly to continue his work.

Jazz Lose: 7500z

Tempoman popped up behind the counter, startled by the overly excited navi. "S-Sure, one moment." He ducked down for a minute and then came back up with a bag of upgrades. He counted out the money and deposited the bag on the counter. "All done and confirmed. Enjoy your order! If there's anything else, just let one of us know. Have a good day!"

Nightshade GET: HP Memory v3 and v4, Process Upgrades v4-6.
Nightshade LOSE: 4750z

Suzume received a small nod as she moved towards a counter and Tempoman stepped across to her after serving another navi. He accepted the list and glanced down it, then looked back to her with a friendly smile and another quick affirmative nod.

"No problems here. Just one moment." Barely a moment did, indeed, pass, before a small coalescence of light formed between his hands and resolved into a bundle of packages, all neatly marked. He moved them across to Suzume after taking her payment.

"All done and confirmed. Enjoy your order! If there's anything else, just let one of us know. Have a good day!"
