    Promotional Procedure
Roxxy hadn't put much forethought into this. It had sort of come to her on a whim. She figured that since she thought the CD was good, and since it'd probably sit in some DJ's mailbox forever instead of making it to the airwaves on its own, she was doing everyone a favor by . . . speeding up its progress.

"Are you sure about this one, Roxxy?" chimed Gale, from her side. The peppy little navi certainly wasn't.

"It'll be fine, don't worry about it." Roxxy responded, making her way down through the crowds on the sidewalks around Electown. There were a lot of people out today, which was good for Roxxy. If there weren't, she'd be a lot more visible.

"Are you sure you're not worried about getting caught?" Gale asked, eyebrows and tone rising as she approached the end of the question.

"We're big girls, we can take care of ourselves. Unless . . . you're not . . . afraid are you?" she countered, patronizingly stifling a chuckle. Gale looked offended immediately. Blood rushed to her cheeks.

"Of course not," she said, indignantly. "I was just looking out for your best interest." She exhaled and stuck her nose in the air, as she adjusted her gloves. Her back was now turned to the PeT's screen. Gale was sometimes surprised by the lengths Roxxy was willing to go.

Roxxy was perfectly ok with this answer. She continued walking, smiling a bit more after having a bit of fun menacing her Navi.

    *****

Roxxy arrived at the base of the Radio tower, and was glad to see that there didn't seem to be anyone around. However, her wireless wasn't picking up an access point in the tower yet. She decided to climb a ladder up to a higher platform behind the tower.

"Oh, good, you could use a work out. When was the last time you worked up a sweat? That session with Teruko and Ante?" Gale asked.

"What are you talking about, I'm very active." Roxxy grunted as she pulled herself up the ladder, hand by hand. It had taken a leap to grab onto the bottom rung, and it was a good amount of upper body work, this climbing.

"You better be, or you'll never keep your figure as sleek as mine." She struck a pose that Roxxy couldn't appreciate, focused on climbing as she was. Gale was having fun being a little model-ish, so she didn't notice.

"Nobody wants to be as slim as you." Roxxy pulled herself up with another huff, and breathed a sigh of relief. "Real men want a bit of substance, anyway."

Gale flexed, and wasn't too impressed by her own slim arms. She looked down, and wasn't too impressed by the "substance" she saw there either. She snorted out a laugh and ignored the comment. "So what's the point of this, again?"

Roxxy leaned up against the back of the building, and found her access point. As she prepped her files, she ran through it again with Roxxy. "This is a collection of some of what I think are the best up and coming songs on the scene." She explained, bringing those up for Gale. Gale couldn't help but admit that her operator had some nice taste in music. "We're going to break into the radio tower's network, and slide these songs into the queue, to spread the music to the people who deserve to get to hear it!" Roxxy's tempo and excitement had picked up.

Gale was getting pumped, too. "Alright then, leave the infiltration part to me, from here on out." She was ready to spread their music to the people. "It's pretty good stuff too. Let's see, there's. . ." as she looped through the music Roxxy was spreading, she couldn't help but notice that Roxxy had slipped a few of her own band's songs in to the mix. "Well, that's a little cocky, but I guess if she thinks they're good enough. . ." Gale mused.

Roxxy had her own good enough justifications, which laid along similar lines. She thought her music was great. "Besides, I'm doing all this work to spread good music to the people of Electown, so I might as well get something out of it." She returned to focus on the job at hand, though. "We better get started. You ready, Gale?"

"I was born ready, Roxxy." Gale replied.

As Roxxy pondered how accurate it was for a Navi to claim to have been born, she set ahead with the Jack-in sequence. "Gale.EXE, Jack-in!"

    Radio Raiding
Gale touched down on the radio's network, and looked around. "So now what?" she asked herself.

Roxxy answered for her, though. "Just look around. You're trying to find somewhere to upload songs to the radio station's library. Or the playlist, that would work too. I don't know. Just keep up the speed." Roxxy, on the outside, wasn't looking for a fight, and didn't want to have to book it without having gotten her songs up.

Gale could tell that Roxxy wanted her to hurry, so she decided her best bet would be to run blindly in a direction picked at random and see if anything came up. "At least until I think of anything better. Or until I see something that looks like a clue. I just need to find some library thing or something. Wherever you put songs." She would have shrugged, but the motion seemed awkward while running full speed ahead.

She kept her eyes open, true to plan, and booked it full speed ahead.

"Oh, right, thanks." Rose stuttered, flying back to Earth with a startling crash. Her head had been so far in outer space she wasn't sure she'd remained in orbit. It was the only way she could explain having zoned out that long.

Rose snatched up her things, gave Suitachi a pleasant grin, and darted out of the store as quickly as she could, her cheeks a little more flushed than usual.

Sylk launched a terrible volley of death at the little ice skaters. The spider surprisingly failed in properly using her web, though it ended up making little difference.

The DarkMech's were zapped, fried, bombed, and grilled. They didn't really stand a chance. Poor dears.

The explosive display scared the poor little bandcoon, though, and he was so surprised that he didn't manage to even find the targets, let alone steal anything. He just scampered off in fear.

On the red bouncing button things. You can bounce eggs off the small parts on the side that extend past the blue base of the button.

And those issues happened after the level skipping thing, so it is totally possible that they were all just weird after effects of having already done something wrong by skipping a level.

EDIT: Now that I've read the little blueprints at the start of the game, I guess they're really trampolines. That makes a little more sense than buttons.

    Let's see.

I played, got stuck on level 16, went to the main menu, saw that the rest of the levels were locked, clicked 17, and got into it anyway. So then I beat the rest of the levels. On level 30, when you finish, you can say "Next Level" still, but it brings you to the menu, which is odd, but not really a big deal.

After that, I decided I should beat level 16, but I think it said level 17 was still locked so I clicked that instead. Then I realized I didn't want to play that, but it wouldn't let me quit to menu using the menu button, and when I beat the level it didn't bring up the mini level ending menu.

That's the only really weird thing I got.

While running through some of the levels again, I got another issue where it wouldn't do anything when I clicked the Return to Level Select button. Also I got one issue one time where pressing menu opened the menu, but from there I could only press back, and I couldn't restart the level or pull the start button again, and the "You Lose" sign wasn't up.

Also the levels don't seem to go in order of difficulty, or at least I thought some of the later levels were easier than some of the ones that came before them.

Eggs can bounce off the sides of buttons, too. If they hit the side of the red part they bounce that way. Dunno if that's what they should do, but I thought I'd point it out.

And the numbers run slightly off the bottoms of the buttons for selecting the levels.

Overall, though, the games really clean and pretty addicting. I played all the way through, at least.

There were a few levels where the starting positions of parts was odd. I think one of them was basically in winning configuration right at the start.

After beating all the levels, I have decided that 16 was the hardest for me, because it was tricky to figure out how to move the egg on the left. 27 a close second, but that one I just solved by bouncing more, it wasn't the same kind of hard 16 was for me.

    RE: Inside the shop
Rose's recent busting run had led to a minor reevaluation of her strategy. She had thought a lot about why she hadn't been doing quite as well as her friend, and came up with a few reasons.

"I haven't upgraded Summ in a long time," she thought. "So here I am." She entered Suitachi's, with a specific plan to buy something. It wasn't a very specific goal, but she wasn't too concerned with how SummonerMan was upgraded, just with making sure that he was.

"I think his design is a bit childish still, too." She mused. "I mean, he could be more generally Summon based." The card thing had recently started to strike her as overly specific, and she wasn't sure she could be successful if she kept over specifying with all her silly fads.

By this point she had been staring at the upgrades for a while, and had managed to make a fairly boring judgment on what she'd buy. She glanced around for a bit more before placing her payment down and informing Suitachi about what she wanted.

"I'd like an HP Memory and a Process Upgrade, if you don't mind." She requested.

RE: Rose's ElecTown based High School
Rose had been getting fairly into her battle. After it was over, she took a moment to look around. Ayumi seemed to be doing very well, but there weren't any substantial changes in the competitive pool.

She didn't have much time to appreciate everyone's hard work, though. Before she could get far, the fire alarm began blaring. "Everyone, please remain calm and exit the building in an orderly fashion," the teacher instructed. It was fairly routine. Rose couldn't believe it though. Someone else managed to cough up the question before she could get it out.

    "But what about the competition!?"

"We'll have to cancel it for now. It should be rescheduled for some later point, if we have time to fit it into the lesson schedule."

Ayumi had, by now, caught up to Rose. "Sucks, huh?" she posed, rhetorically.

"Right. You were doing pretty well, weren't you?" Rose responded.

"No big deal. We'll get them next time." Ayumi grinned, accompanying the optimistic view with a fist pump. The two made their way out of the room, and continued on with their fire drill and their fairly routine school day.
