"Damn!" Slade stumbled as his previous slash missed the Spooky. He didn't expect that the Spooky would vanish and Slade ended up losing his balance and fell, face first. Quickly, he got up and drew his stances while rubbing his nose and glanced at the surrounding, finding the vanished Spooky. "Where the hell did it go?!"

"Don't mind that! There's another near you! BattleChip, Zapring! Slot In!" What Kai had in mind was to stun the Spooky so it would be easier to target it. Slade understand completely what his NetOp was aiming for and quickly got into action, uploading the Zapring onto his right hand. A yellow sphere appeared on Slade's hand, glowing brightly. As the light faded, the Zapring was immediately launched by Slade, towards the Spooky near him.

A sudden scream by Arbalest then caught his attention. It seems that the vanished Spooky was attacking Arbalest but counter-attacked. Seeing that his partner wouldn't have much difficulties or anything, he charged towards the Spooky he was targetting without hesitation. Slade gripped tight to the sword, making sure his next slash would be fatal to the Spooky. The wing on his back glowed brightly and added the thrust of Slade, causing him to bullet with extremely high velocity before delivering another deadly slash to the Spooky.

Slade arose after his previous attack upon the Cannodumbs, but suddenly thrown away as an attack dealt directly towards him. "Hmmph..." he growled, maintaining his stance again and placing one of his arms on the floor. But he could still smiling as his attacks worked greatly, two of the shrubbies now defenseless with the deletion of the Cannodumbs. Fragment of the Cannodumbs slowly dispersed and revealed the shrubbies as Slade decided to slam down his claw against one of them. He took his hand as high as he could before connecting the claws with the tiny body of Shrubby in his attept to rip the shrubby apart.

"I'll give you some more chip, Sword! Slot In!" Kai had been watching his NetNavi's action and noticed the crack on one of Slade's rageclaw. Playing safely, Kai inserted a sword to override the claw. Slade felt the presence of the new chip and quickly detached his left hand's claw and formed a digital blade. The Navi then glared at the other Shrubby piercingly, in order to bring out the Shrubby's deepest fear before swing his claw heavily, powerful enough to shred the virii to pieces.

Without further dialogue or anything, Slade made his way to the ghost virii as Arbalest had already set his eye towards the other. He thought that he wouldn't have to try and help Arbalest, knowing that his partner was not half bad. Instead, he kept his eye directly towards the Spookies and spun his body as his sword was swung upon the white virus, delivering a mighty slash.

"Rageclaw! Double Slot In!" As soon as they saw the shadowy figures of viruses, Kai immediately made his move and inserted two flash crads inside the chip reader of his PET, transferring the unique data of two rageclaws to his NetNavi via the infra red. The data streamed towards Slade and morphed his hands into a huge, furry paw with long and sharp claws. "Destroy the Cannodumbs first, make the Shrubbies defenseless"

"Deal!" Slade responded, directing his dash to get in closer to the Cannodumbs. He charged to the Cannodumbs, holding both of his claws straight while maintaing himself, preparing for the unexpected. He came storming towards two of the Cannodumbs and swiftly brought the claws to rip the Cannodumbs' fragile body.

"......nothing..." Slade smiled a bit, bet retained his shocked face. Snapping out of it, the Navi then moved to the other data left by the deleted virii, transferring it to the Zenny Storage. As the process completed, he then turned towards Arbalest.

"...let's go. I think the numbers of virii are decreasing with the deletion of this group." Slade then pointed to a random NetPath, suggesting that they should start scanning there.

".....I don't think I should do anything...."

"....Yeah..." The duo looked at Arbalest, the raging Navi had already gone rampaging to the lone mettaur. Kai somehow felt a bit sorry for the Mettaur, yet it's the mettaur's fault for attacking Arbalest, so he should pay. Meanwhile,Slade just stood there, dumbfounded as he see the usually calm friend gone berserk to a mettaur. Therefore, he decided to stay aside and just watching the show.

"....creepy..." Slade muttered a word, amazed and frightened at Arbalest's action.

"Ergh! What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Slade exclaimed as he wiped off the saliva of the virus, cursing the virii. Enraged by the virus action, Slade decided to swung his former sword recklessly upon the Spooky while yelling out, "..disgusting bastard!"

"Chill out...it's just saliva.." Kai grinned, looking at how his Navi had been overreacted. Kai still played his role, inserting another battlechips and giving out a battle strategy to his NetNavi. "Now that the damn mutt gone, better concentrate on the seedbats. Try killing them with this heatshot. Sending rageclaw and heatshot in 3, 2, 1....sent!"

Slade felt the weapon phased into him, as the Navi decided to side-roll, towards the rear of a seedbat. A burst of light emitted from Slade's left hand morphing his fingers into a metal claw, while his palm grew furry. The blue Navi then held out his hand as far as he could before slamming it heavily, in the attempt of throwing the seedbat towards his partner.

Not long before the previous attack, Slade had another one coming as he detached the rageclaw, replacing it with somehow a flaming shotgun. Slade then aimed directly towards the Seedbat he had just tried to attack, timed his attack carefully as the trigger for the gun was pulled. A loud explosion echoed the moment Slade blasted the heatshot, but to his surprise, the recoil for this attack seems weaker. Maybe I had gotten used to this weapon that the recoil does not mean so much...

"....hehe." A maniacal grin was set upon the blue Navi's face as he looked upon the new wave of virus. The biggest horde of virus they had ever encountered, but instead of fearing them, he felt extremely excited. "..Kai, better give me a sword now...instant kill will be nice.."

"Okay, but look out for the Spooky, they're tricky...Battlechip, Sword! Double Slot In!" Kai took out the swords from his chip's cases and inserted them into the PET. The chip reader then analyzed them, streaming the chip's unique data to Hauth via the infra-red.

While Kai played his role, Slade had also began his charge towards the virus. He'll be the melee fighter while Arbalest will cover him with a series of sniping, that way, they'll be abalanced team. Upon reaching the virii group, swords had completely formed onto the arms of Slade. Gripping to the digital blades as strong as he could, Slade spun his body around, swinging his blade freely in between the two flaming hounds.

"Dancing Swallow..!" The slashing went through for a while, until Slade had finally felt a little unstable after the repeated spinning. The Navi fell down but quickly got up and dashed away from the virii group, still feeling a bit dizzy.

"That's good. Now we can move on..." Slade clenched his fist, after a little smile to Arbalest. The Navi was starting to walked away as he suddenly recalled about the portal. Slade then walked to the rear of Arbalest, the portal, which Arbalest had just came from. "...So, I'll destroy this portal. Kai, energybomb."

The Navi stood there, waiting for Kai's response but the NetOp had yet to be awake. Slade sighed as he turned on the PET volume, and screamed, "Kai!", which echoed in the house. The NetOp eyes popped open as he nervously grabbed his PEt, dropped it several times before picking it back. "What?! What?!" was the first words came from his mouth.

"Gimme energybombs!" Slade demanded, not bothering to talk. He'd knew that Kai would madly shouting at him later.

"...dammit, and I'm just having a good dream....battlechips, energybomb. Double Slot In." He transferred a two chips from his chip cases, titled Energybomb, sending their data throught the PET into the NetWorld. As two grey bombs appeared in front of him, Slade quickly tossed both of them towards the portal, breaking it apart.

"I hope you won't mind....this way we'll only need to deal with the virus left." Slade turned away from the explosion, walking towards Arbalest before he pointed to a random path, suggesting that they should start busting there.


Battle....1, isn't it?

"...I thought I heard someone...."

Kai had already fallen asleep, after the shopping and walking around town, he probably deserved a good rest. Slade who had laid down got up quickly, hearing that a voice had been echoed in the house's system. ...Maybe Arbalest... Slade walked to the source of the sound, eagerly dashed through the Net.

The Net Area seems a lot calmer, though he knew that the threat had not yet been deleted, looking at the viruses which were still roaming. A lot of thought echoed in the Navi's mind as he made his way to the source of voice. He had been thinking about whom would do such a thing to the house's system, and what really happened when he and Arbalet defeated the last group of virii. But the thought disappeared at looking the familiar Navi near the Portal.

"Arbalest!"

"Huh?" Kai who had been focusing on his Navi's battle shifted his attention when the door lock suddenly flashed a series of text. A smile began to appear at the NetOp's face after noticing that he could twist the doorknob.

"Alright! Way to go!" Kai sudden exclaim shocked Slade who was just winning the battle. "You know Slade, Arch..after the last battle the door lock seemed to be unlocked for some reason."

He stopped a bit, catching his breath, before continuing his further explaination. "But the threats haven't decreased yet. The PET scanned that there's some more unknown data inside the home system, so I might still need your help Arch, Arbalest." Kai hoping into his home happily, grinning as he landed to his beloved couch. He was really glad and wanted to enjoy his comforting sofa, but interrupted by Slade's voice.

"Kai...here," The Navi held out his hand, which was placing a weapon from the virii he had just fought, along with a sum of money. Kai immediately grabbed one of his blank memory chip, slotting it into his PET and started downloading the data, while the Zenny gradually transferred into his Zenny storage. While waiting for the process, the NetOp got up from the couch and picked a glass from a kitchen, pouring the juices he had just bought.

"...what matters is our vitality to survive until we can defeat the main threat to the home's system." The voice of Slade came out from the PET speaker, when Kai was just about to take a sip of the juice. He spoke out his opinion, and the suggestion was taken fully by Arch and Arbalest, as the two decided to Jack Out.

Sighing, Kai took a sip of the orange juice, and laid his back on the couch.

".....by the way, you're also being hurt a lot, jack out?" The brown-haired NetOp watched his Navi from the PET screen, while sipping on a glass of orange juice. Seeing that his Navi had took quite a great deal of damage, he suggested that they should log out, too. But his NetNavi disagreed.

"If we're to jack out....we would have to start over from beyond the firewall. So, I guess I'll stay."

"Alright! Way to go!" Kai sudden exclaim shocked the NetNavi, not knowing the reasion behind Kai's excitement. "You know Slade, Arch..after the last battle the door lock seemed to be unlocked for some reason. But the threats haven't decreased yet. The PET scanned that there's some more unknown data inside the home system, so I might still need your help Arch, Arbalest."

Panting, Slade laid down on his back after seeing the last virii defeats. A sparkling shard dropped on his hand as the viruses data slowly float around, fading gradually. The data revealed to be a weapon from a bunny, the zapring, with some zenny. "Kai, here..." As Slade transferred the weapon and money, Kai had already readied to write the zaprings code into a blank chip. While the process took place, Slade looked towards his partner who had badly injured, too.

"Say, Arbalest....I think you should heal yourself back at the PET first...you took quite some damage back there...." Slade started, watching the bruises all over Arbalest's body. "Kai had already succeed in opening the door, so time is not an issue right now. Right now, what matters is our vitality to survive until we can defeat the main threat to the home's system."

"Slade's right....like I said before, we don't know what are we going against, so it might be better to prepare." Kai agreed with his NetNavi's opinion to be safe than sorry. "Don't worry, we'll need your help some more, so we'll wait until you've recovered inside your PET."

"Slade!" Kai exclaimed. He never thought his Navi would sacrifice himself to protect someone. Although the effort remain in vain as the flame covered both Slade and Arbalest, Kai felt that his Navi's action was the best decision at that time.

"Gaahhh!" A sudden scream was let out by Slade, enduring the burn on his chest as he felt on his two knees. The thought of him failing to protect his partner hurted him even badly. But he won't give up. He'll still protect Arbalest at any cost even if he would be deleted. Blue sphere emerged from the Navi's right arm. The sphere fainted as a blazing shotgun was formed. "...heh..."

"Alright Slade, here's the plan" After noticing the heatshot had fully materialized, Kai began his strategy discussion with Slade. "...line the virii up and blast them with the heatshot."

".....that's a plan?.....tch..just upload more chips for me. I'll do the battling." Struggling to maintain his battle stance, Slade got up, saving his energy for a moment and darted to a spikey. His left hand which had fused with the rageclaw started glowing as Slade clenched his claw and delivered a mighty punch, attempting to throw the spikey towards the lone bunny.

It didn't take Slade a mere second before he aimed his heatshot and dropped on his knee to prevent the heatshot's recoil. He aimed directly towards the same spikey, timing his shot carefully and unleashed the destructive power of a heatshot. "How do you like fire now...heheh?"
