" what a tough fight, and so they're....this battle will take longer than I thought.... " Cast said his personal comment....while trying to put down the fire with his robe, a few events took place that made Cast admitted this battle is not easy....he missed to kill or rather hit the oldstove, to start with....then, his shotgun goes way off....hits a spooky instead of mushroom....he blamed the mushies for his terrible performance, most of....it was time for viruses to made their move, the lone spooky strikes! and cast barely able to evade....next, the oldstove counterattacks!....trapping Cast in a low degree fire....

thanks for burning him, Cast had became black and coughing repeatedly.... " errr, how you doin??? wanna back-of? " Sage questioned.... " hell no! there's no way im going to withdraw after made a fool of me....and, as I said, im OKAY! " he shouts, it seems that he had gotten bit angry although he hasn't planned yet what to do next....he take a look at the options left, a one-use long ranged attack and a mid range weapon....then, something came through his mind....he wondered, " is it capable to strike them with double attack? "

the lack of time forced him to try it out without further thinking....and he got his answer, his arc wand splits into two, a part of it stays at his right hand while the other part moved to the left....both begin goes into a form, becoming a cannon gun....

" hmm....it's huge, bulky, looks similar to the cannodumb virus without the stand, just the head and the most important thing is that it's GREEN! oh my God....why the heck most of my weaponary comes in green, this hat in fact is green too....I swear that i'll rip of the head of someone that design all this....why? because i'm not vegetarian!!! " Cast describe how does the weapon looks, together with a little madness over green coloured objects....pity that both mushies becomes the victim, Cast react instantly after his transformation completed the whole process....firing a light-yellow cannonball towards them, the second one follows behind after first shot was fired, trailing by a mere seconds....both shot marks the spot but it is unsure whether they're dead or alive....his wand already emerge and come into one piece but it only lasts in it's regular form for a few seconds, making another transformation....the undying mage's finger nail grew rapidly, until it became really long, thin like a leaf and sharp as a knight's sword....

" ouch! " he cried, the tip of his nail was pointed at his face....and his forefinger coated with blood....without giving any signal, he attacks! moving quickly towards the horde of viruses....measured the distance between his and theirs, by calculating the range, this enable Cast to jump between them and landed precisely in front of 'that' ghost....raised his arm, and deliever dozens of fury swipes at the spooky, and each swipes were empowered with Cast's muscular strength....for the final blow, he stabbed the weakling spooky, piercing through it's body....Cast felt empty while doing physical damage, this is due to the spooky which comes in ghost form....

" i felt dizzy....it seems that the powder had a strong floral scent....uhhh " cast spoke after getting attacked by a group of mushrooms....he move like a drunked person, keep on walking improperly....he had lost his balance, while his mind are completely distracted and he got blurry vision to make things worse....Sage asked whether his netnavi okay or not okay....Cast replied by saying that he's fine and this unwell condition will be gone soon....though he said not to worry but his body really act the opposite....either way, Sage already picked up the next battlechip....

the arc wand morphed into that flower thing again.... " uhh, is this an illusion....isn't it.... " he wondered why his hand still stucked with that freaking creature, because he had used ringlog previously.... " this stupid scent, go away! " he curses, he got distracted due to the spice while attempting to attack after confirming his hand was real....knowing that the possiblity to miss will be probably higher than hit, plus unable to aim well....the masked wizard change his tactics which is a bit risky, he walk towards the virus gang though he knew that he cannot walk in a straight line, so he adjust his direction whenever he went far away....upon getting a closer and clearer look, he throws a pile of wood at the fire-type virus....

done attacking, Sage tranfered the following battlechip, a shotgun and two cannons....Cast try switching to cannon but failed, " heyyyy, did you do something to with.... " he asked, cannot say the next word, unable to think....Sage quickly cuts by telling him that he temporarily shut down the switching program, and reminding him that this is a part of the challenge.... " ohhh, i see.... " said Cast, meaning that he understands....as time flies, the effect somehow had toned down....little by little he managed to sense everything clearly....also his visual is getting better....despite the good news, he still felt his head kinda heavy....he doesn't noticed it till the moment he glanced at this right hand that currently holding a magic rod....

out of nowhere, a ray of blue light going towards Cast....it goes inside the rounded orb which ends up change the orb appearance from red to blue, as the orb itself glowing brightly.... " so, this wand filled with energy.... " he guessed, and learned something in the moment....later he attacks one of mushrooms, spontaneously....he began with by making a circle, because both of them were currently hiding behind spookies and futhermore he don't have any intrest with spookies, his only target now is mushies, once he found the open space that don't have anything can block his shot....he drew out his wand, take aim....and swings his wand upwards in diagonal way while releasing a powerful beam to one of the mushies, blasting it afterwards.... " is it enough, will that one shot eliminates it??? " Cast wondered, he's really worry because those mushroom were quite strong....and he's low on ammunation....

he responded to Cast by calling out number of viruses....and in front of his eye, six viruses appeared that come in pairs....he acknowledged first two but don't have any data for the rest of them, one looks like a stove with fire in it's mouth while the other take a physical look of a mushroom....once he knew it's name and origin, he moved on....analyzing the fighting scene and crafting battle plan....

Sage, the man in charge of Castman, already inserted a battlechip....HE had a bright idea, he want to study further about Cast's fighting skill....to get what he wanted, he demand Cast to use anything that he passed him to....he covered his true intention by saying, "a challenge"....he begins with the type of weapon that Cast rarely use, the ringlog....

a shining light came through Cast's arm, it was his arc wand that shines....changing it's appearance to a small bushes that overrides his regular right hand form....a surprise expression carved on his looks, " what the hell....Sage!!! did you altered my systems again?! " he shouted, followed by a repeated number of sigh....Sage kept his lips closed, obviously didn't want to answer....noticing that talking to the man isn't going to give him any benefit....he switches his role, prepared himself for the next fight....

" eat this!!! " Cast addressed his saying to the fire creature....it really annoys him to see that thing always had it's mouth wide open, so he suggested to stuff it with that nice looking wooden block that pops out from his arm.... " this one....is freaking me out.... " it gives Cast goosebumps whenever using the ringlog chip, chills all over his head for seconds....the wooden block keeps on rolling, until it collides with the targetted oldstove....but doesn't seem to stop, as if both keep on going....too far till Cast cannot saw them....maybe it was the size between them as the block is large and massive while oldstove looks small though it was twice the size of a mettaur, but still lack of strength to stop it from moving....this has given Cast a one-point advantage....

" that's one! " Cast talked to himself....

again, his hand creates light....returned to it's normal shape, then quickly he said " hold it right there! let me use my signature move, before transfering that defensive chip.... " if he had been late for one second, his words will be completely useless as half of the chip already inside when Cast gave his order....Sage paused his action instanty, or the more accurate term was emergency break....

" thank you.... " Cast replied....tightly wrapped his arc wand, as the red jewel starts to glow bright....the atmosphere suddenly changed, wind started to circled around the mage and then completely sorrounds him, sealing himself inside the mini tornado that he created....at the same time, his entire body goes eerie blue....all that's left was to absorb and stored everything inside the jewel....he pointed his eye at the mushroom, marking it as the subject....once he's done compacting the energy inside the arc wand, he threw out it at the targetted mushy....the energy bolt cuts through everything on it's path, kicking every dust and stone and fragment, direct it's way to the target and then....it explodes, the napalm beat sometimes acts like an 'invisible mini-bomb'....because of the immense energy kept inside the bolt and the impact after it hits target, the so-called napalm beat might injures any nearby virus....

just as Cast expected, right after he launched his offensively energy shot....his arc wand again went to another shape-shift....becoming into some sort of a rounded shield, with a plus pattern at the center....the shield actually came from met's helmet that used to protect it from any harm, and the shield also treated that way....plus with additional ability to bounce back anything that hit this oversize shield....cast knew that his opponent will take the advantage due to the dark smoke that covering them, it was the impact of the previous blast that created it....to overcome their 'sneak attack', he decides to stay behind the shield and waiting for the perfect timing to strike again....

with the last virus was taken down, Cast once again able to continue his progress....hunting for the netnavi that set all this up.... " that was easy... " shouted Cast, hoping that he would heard it.... " it wont stop me from coming to you if you don't take me seriously... " Cast finishes his word....as he can sense that his enemy is around here somewhere, hiding in the shadow...

Castman didn't reply, he focused on the dog instead...adjust his vision, in order not to let it get away from his sight....it maybe alone but who knows, there might be a trap.... " it can be a decoy.... " thought him....but nothing shows up, thus giving the opportunity for Cast to strike!, he take a look at list of weapons that was provided by Sage at his wand... " hmm, two cannos and one shotgun....isn't this just too much... " Cast wondered why he was given so many weapons as he's already making a selection....

Then, he raised right hand upwards, while holding the magic wand....the "orb" at the wand shows an icon of a barrel gun....seconds later, a blinking star appeared the sky and the clouds are moving, one of the clouds shattered into small pieces as a laser-like thing past through it....the high speed movement of the laser has created a high-pitch noise, as the blue ray speeds up and move towards the ground....seeking for the blue wolf-like virus....the collison between the two material has caused a large explosion, it was yellow and than it turn into white on all over the area....the thick black smoke are everywhere, cast hid himself inside his robe, covering his entire body with clothing.... " uhh....I guess that I should lowered the distance, next time.... " blaming himself for causing a minor riot....nothing more from came the caped navi as his stance remains the same....waiting for the wind to blow away the smoke....and wanted to see the outcome of his action as well....

huh...errr, hello....

it's been a long time since the last time i came here....due to buzy-ness(in college now....when i 1st registered, im still at school)...I started to forgot about this website....(it pops out of my mind suddenly...*hey, RE:RN*) i remembered that I have my character somewhere in the net world....and it seems that many things had changed....though i read the rules ONE by ONE....i still don't know where to start....but i did came up with a few plan....

1)start from the beginning - using new netnavi
- using current netnavi

or

2)continue from where I quit - current virus busting

hmm....too many choices, don't know which one does benifits me....maybe it's b'coz i always looking at the problems that i'll faced after chosing any of the option...

using new netnavi - (in order to get a green light, netnavi needs to be "unique", different from others....)

using current netnavi - (feels like all my efforts will be wasted)

current VB - (many rules had been altered, so i might need to adjust this and that...plus, I "abandoned" this RPG for at least six months...it just seemed not right, bumping in after gone for a long time....)

undecided, I take a look at my profile and my netnavi....while clicking here and there....something came out of my mind....yet another option....

3)continue from where I quit with a few condition....

- starts a new day
- net navi stats remains the same...(the upgrades that i've bought)
- lost all the battlechips I obtained from VB, except the three basic battlechip (cannon, shotgun, and rageclaw(or anything similar if the rageclaw got replaced with other battlechip)
- lost 1/2 of zenny that I have....

*option number three seems okay to me....but it all depends on moderator....if "3)" got rejected/objection....i guess that i'll go on with the 1st choice, start from the whole beginning....using a new netnavi....*

" huh, here we go again...can I just run away and proceed to my main task?? " Cast try to beg for mercy....

" I was just about say that, but now I had to decline it coz the virus that attacked you was likely to be summoned, not appeared regularly like they supposed to.... "

" how did you know, and do you have any idea where it came from??? "

" not at all, but I have a theory....the guy that we're currently hunt somehow knew that somebody is chasing him.... "

" you mean us right.... " guessed Cast....

" exactly.... " Sage replied....

" so, he wanna play....i'm open for it, let's get things started....shall we Sage? "

the fight begins between Castman and a family of bunnies, aided by a blue wolf, named spikey....since the bunnies are elec, Sage transmit both ringlog chip to Cast....he received it once his staff goes bright for a moment....without any hesitation Cast used the first ringlog, summoning a shrubby, then the shrubby throws a wooden log that came from inside, then through his mouth....it continously rolling, meanwhile the shrubby that helped Cast already left the stage....the spikey was the first one to spotted the logs, it leapt forward and thus dodge Cast's attack....the bunnies did well too except one of them, it's too late for the unfortunate bunny to make as the logs just milimeters away from the bunny....

" good, but not enough! " roared Cast, as he summoned another shrubby....before he uses the second ringlog, he took a quick action to adjust his position after seeing the viruses did really well in dodging his attack....he came closer toward the virus, after Cast secured his position, he attacks! sending another pile of wooden logs directly to the bunnies, he knew if he attempt to aim it at the vagabond wolf, it will miss....worried about the lone spikey, Cast change his strategy.... " lend me a guard! " he yelled....Sage moved his hand swiftly, took out a chip that have an icon of a met blocking attack and swipe it at the battlechip reader....once Cast obtained the guard, he summoned it instantly....now all he did is get behind the yellow guard and wait for the opportunity to counter-attack....

that's all Cast could said, he didn't expect that all the viruses died in the first turn....

" what the HELL are you doing, get moving!!! " voiced Sage quite loud....

" errr, sorry....I'll get going right now....anyway, should I went straight or turn left, I kinda forgot where 'he' should be?? " Cast no longer daydreaming....focusing on completing his task....

" uhh, awkward....this one is weird you know.... " Cast sighed....yet, he prepared himself, scouted the gang of virii....a metool currently holding it's pixelaxe, the two 'S' moved randomly while the immobile green tower try to marks Cast by aiming using cursor that installed inside the cannodumb....he tries to think a way to dispose them in single turn before the enemy make theirs....thus, he requested a shotgun chip....

" before you begin your fight, here's a little explaination from me....1st, i've removed the unique and fancy shape-shifting ability from your staff, instead I changed it with the summoning ability....and you can switch what battlechip you wanted to use, let's say that I inserted a shotgun, cannon and guard, so the sequence should be shotgun comes first, and the last one is guard....but, with the switching ability, you can choose which one to use first from the three that I inserted....let's give it a try, Castman.... " Sage give some guidance to Cast....

The caped navi nodded, Sage gave a quick response by triple slot-in cannon, ringlog and shotgun....Sage was right, the staff didn't changed it's shape....Cast noticed an icon appeared at the orb, "a cannon" he whispered, "but I want shotgun, damn Sage...." he's upset but later Cast found up that he actually can use shotgun before cannon, thanks to the switching system developed by Sage....he spotted a cannodumb, shielding a shrubby, Cast try to mark it....he summoned the shotgun but nothing happened, his staff didn't do any magic.... " did I perform it wrongly or the shotgun is here somewhere...." Cast puzzled, he looked at the sky and saw something shiny, bullet-like shape....the thing is approaching towards Cast, but appreantly not, it's heading to the cannodumb in light speed and boom!, creating a large explosion, not once but twice, causing everything become absolutely white.... " did the shot powerful enough to shut at least to of 'em?? " Cast wonders....

as soon as the flashbang effect are gone, Cast readied his second attack....focusing on the tiny virus with yellow helmet equipped on it's head, the met kept moving till it line up with Cast.... " you just don't know when to give up, do ya! " Cast had it enough, he uses cannon and like Sage told him a virus that look exactly like one of his enemy suddenly appeared, " this must be 'Summoning;Cannon', I think I can get along with the new technique.... " He orders the cannodumb to attack the met, and it obeyed Cast's command....launching a projectile directly to it's target, the 'friendly' cannodumb acts the same as the real cannodumb and not only that, it's appearance and looks very similar to the real one....though it still have differences, Cast's cannodumb dissapeared after making an attack....

unprepared for what comes next, the remaining virus already placed itself behind Cast and the ugly-looking virus already stick out it's tongue but somehow he managed to notice the existence of the ghost-like virus, " what's left for me??? " Cast questions himself while checking if there's anything that he can summoned, and looks like he does....quickly he summoned another object that took the shape of a shrubby....after the fake shrubby looks somewhat alive, it spouted a chunk of wooden log....moving and rolling continously till it came across with an object....after all is done, Cast is alone once again....

" i got a something to ask, why did you do many changes??? " Cast questioned, but there's no response from Sage....

" To my favorite worker, Sage....I see that you've done a good job delivering the item to my friend, well done....and here's your next task, there's someone that didn't pay the debt after using our service, i've been given him a week to pay but he didn't....in fact, he injured my netnavi when I tried to confront him....so I want you to track that guy down and ask him to pay back, if he don't want to....bust that guy and took out cash from him forcefully....here's all the information that you'll need.... "

without wasting his time, Sage plug-in Castman directly to his PC....

" let's end this task really quick shall we.... " suggested Sage....

Sage acted as he didn't heard it....quickly he installed the program....then he left the store, heading towards ACDC town....

" time to resume our delivery job.... " Sage whispered....he look at the time, it's already noon....guessed that he wasted a lot of time....

Sage enters the navi shop while holding his PErsonal Terminal at his right hand....he went straight to the counter, without thinking too much he called the shopkeeper and orders something....

Sage looks at his PET, at the upper-right of the screen....it's already 9.00A.M and it's normal for workers here to go out for breakfast....so does Sage but this time, he's going somewhere....somewhere far from ACDC town....

" Cast grumbles, he felt very frustrated....but he also felt relieved that the battle is over, he laid himself on the ground....remembering the dramatic fight between him and the salesman navi....if it isn't for Sage skill in operating him, he would've been dead.... suddenly, Cast get up from his nap....he heard footsteps, unsure whether it is enemy or friend, Cast readied his staff....and get alerted with his sorrounding....but, somehow Cast cannot feel the presence of the unknown objects....he turned and saw a normalnavi that look exactly as his opponent.... " heh, you think you can escape! " cast then bashed the normalnavi afterwards....but he missed, as the normal navi said " STOP!!! " he also looked very exhausted by the way....

" before I explained everything, wanted to say that I'm very sorry that I've caused you tons of problem....as you can see, i'm the REAL netnavi that you're looking....if you don't believe me, here's the image of my netOp.... " the normalnavi speaks, named himself Disco....

cast hold down his weapon, and act like usual.... " so, can you briefly explain what exactly happened?? "

" alright, I told you everything that happened from start.... " Disco paused, and then resumed.... " I was told by my netOp that someone will be arriving at my homepage, which is now....so I waited for that person....after hours of waiting, he finally arrived but he seemed suspicious and my guessed is right.... "

" let me try, is that damn salesman right??? " Cast cut it shortly....

" correct!, he disguised himself as you....then he try so scammed me, because i'm weaponless he beat me....then he tied me up and hold me there.... " he continued his explaination as he showed where he was hidden.... " the rest you can think it by yourself....and it seems that everything is over, here's some cash for all the trouble that i've caused.... " he navi resumed and transfer some money to castman's netOp....

" heh, it was nothing....oh by the way, here's the battlechip that your netOp wanted.... " Cast give the unknown battlechip to Disco....

" haha, you still remembered your mission right....no wonder my netOp requested the job to you, you do fit in for this job....tranfering and delivering data to others, thank you very much....I may need your help in the future....but for now, byebye....see you around soon.... " it was then, Disco jack-out from the net....

" well, should you jack out too.... " Sage asked his netnavi....

" yeah, i'm out of energy as well.... " he answered....

cast looks very tired, he's at his limit....he had never been into this situation, even Sage can heard him breathed heavily....

" are you okay cast??? " Sage wanted to checked the caped navi's condition

" not really, but I think I can end this....right NOW! " cast replied....

he looked at his right-arm, attached to a sharp and thin claw....it's the only weapon that he had left, no time for him to wait for the energy wave to be recharged...everything needs to be end now, otherwise he'll get deleted....all his hope now relies on his rageclaw....despite having small amount of energy, he used all the strength that he had left to defeat the evil salesman, slashing the normalnavi diagonally, then he finger-stabbing his enemy twice....

suddenly his claw broke apart....morphed into the magic wand again....he took the risk by punching his opponent many times although he's not used to it, Cast knew that this will left him opened from any outcoming attacks....
