Mission: Curbing anomaly

Rhea saw the way the Heelnavi turned invisible, but she was trying to determine where the general direction he was going from the footsteps. There were taps, but... It was pretty hard to tell from the harsh environment...

Rhea occasionally eyed the cracked panels, before trying to get him to keep talking, and attempt to ascertain the source. "Are you the 'ghost' that terrorizes Navis for their spoils, then?" Rhea remarked, though she doubted it. The Heelnavi didn't fit the description the prog had provided her. The fact that the Navis that reported it could give such a clear description was sign that the actual ghostly figure wasn't masked or helmed.

Unlike this one.

Looking as if she was idly kicking the rubble, she kicked some of the dust in numerous directions, hoping that some would stick onto the invisible navi's invisible feet. Even if her plans were a success, she acted as if she didn't notice-- and just looked around in wary in certain other directions. Then she moved, slowly, following the pace of the footsteps, focusing on not to trip over whatever rubble she was kicking on earlier.

1) Identify general direction through hearing of footsteps
2) Kicks some rubble sand at random directions (to try and trap visible dust on invisible feet)
3) Dodge (more or less like Heelnavi's pace)
The invisible HeelNavi continued to sneek around Rhea, before he turned sharply to get behind her. Rhea asks the HeelNavi if he was the "ghost" mentioned in the BBSs, and the HeelNavi responded:

And you think I would tell you? Nope, try again!

He then raised his invisible hand... and playfully slapped her butt. Being quite amused by himself, the HeelNavi giggled as he trotted off, but didn't notice the rubble that was moved by Rhea.

HeeeeheeheeHWAH-oof!

The HeelNavi promptly slipped on some of the debris, and landed flat on his back. This graceful move created a small cloud of dust, which pretty much made a large flashing arrow pointing at him, which read "I AM RIGHT HERE."

"OI!! a voice boomed into cyberspace, the vibration enough to kick up digital dust particles and disperse in the Heelnavi's general direction-- thus blowing in the direction of Rhea, her long hair flung about in a slightly wild manner before settling down. "You... you...!!" the voice growled, which was the exact moment where the Heelnavi tripped himself somewhere and tripped on the misplaced rubble.

Rhea gave no response. Not even a blink, or a move or anything-- she didn't even seem fazed by Camillia's overdramatic screech that transcended the communications device. She did wear an abnormal face, though. Just as the pervertive Navi fell on his back fully that clearly gave away his location, Rhea turned-- quickly, surely, dreadfully-- and raised a boot. With that abnormal look. A larger-than-usual cannon on her left arm was also formed in the process.

Attempting to plant the right boot forcefully onto the invisible HeelNavi, she aimed the artillery at the seemingly empty space, at where she thought the face would be at. That's right, Rhea, swordswoman, wanted to blow the head out of the pervert's neck sockets. Then she fired, point-blank. But something didn't look right about the cannon-- no wait, it wasn't a cannon... It was actually a Heatshot!

Rhea took a few steps backwards, now the real cannonball loaded in her artillery weapon. Without wasting any more time, she fired the lead giant bullet at where the HeelNavi was presumed to be at, seeing it join the tiny inferno that was forming at the target destination.

... Camillia just looked on in disgust.

"Burn in hell," the NetOp and Navi said in unison, frown evident on both faces.

Summary of actions:
1) Point-blank HeatShot1 - 40DMG, Fire, Spread1 - HeelNavi
2) Dodge
3) Cannon - 40DMG, Knockback - HeelNavi
Rhea and Camillia were not amused by the HeelNavi's cheeky antics, and blasted the enemy with an explosive Heatshot from point blank range. Luckily the extent of the heat didn't damage Rhea herself, but her boot did get slightly blackened by the flames. The HeelNavi yelped in pain before Rhea stepped back and blasted him with a cannon, which sent him rolling backwards. Rhea felt something tap her foot, and looked down to see a minibomb; a departing gift from the HeelNavi before he was knocked away. The bomb exploded at close range and dealt serious damage to Rhea's programming.

As the dust settled, the HeelNavi started to come back into view, his trump card spent.
Heh, how do you like that?

Rhea's vision crackled slightly and the next thing she knew, she was rolling to collide with a pile of rubble, stopping her movement. A similar crackle seemed to come from the other side of the audio transmission, and was later apparent that the communications device failed to function, as well. ... Rhea did cover her face in the time of the explosion with her left arm.

At least she could still move, and nothing seemed to be fully destroyed-- slightly twisted fingers, disclocation-- and then, she was glad that she was only a program. There was no way a living human being could have survived that. The purple Navi wiped at her arms, and found that her generator was still in working order.

Perfect.

A flurry of digital data wavered and flowed around Rhea, her slightly charred programming taking slightly longer than usual to summon objects. Rhea huffed slightly, then stood; her right arm balled into a fist, and swung it in the air in front of her. For the first second, nothing happened; then the data around her glowed bright, forming a speeding line that shot through the air towards the Heelnavi, intent clear as the line curved when it got closer, attempting to grip the Heelnavi's neck and tried to scrag the enemy on the floor. There was another disturbing crackle-- presumably from Camillia-- then she felt the entrance of a Guard chip. ... Huh.

The thin, glowing line still connected to Rhea's generator, she activated the Guard and raised it, the curved barrier placed in front of her. Then she lowered her stance for a while, then was next seen charging head-first towards the Heelnavi.

Summary of actions
1) Harvest - 30HP Drain - HeelNavi
2) Guard1
3) Tactical Movement - charging towards HeelNavi with Guard1
Rhea recovered from the hard blow from the bomb, but retaliated with vampiric data stream that sapped the energy from the now visible HeelNavi, and replenished her own. She then summoned a protective shield, and began to charge her enemy. The HeelNavi was nearly drained of all of his energy, and slumped forward as she rushed towards him.

You think you can beat me?!? Think again!

The HeelNavi clenched his fist, which ballooned and swelled nearly three times its normal size. His arm and fist was covered in metal plates, and looked to be quite heavy. As Rhea came close to the HeelNavi, he swung his GutFist forward with crushing force; the fist smashed through her shield and connected with her chest. Rhea was driven backwards by the strike, but her shield did its job by redirecting a lot of the energy back to the HeelNavi. However, the HeelNavi was prepared, and was saved from deletion by an Undershirt program. He winced in pain, but then continued to stare at Rhea.

One little Navi will take me down, girl. I'm gonna make you squeal for mercy.

He limped over towards Rhea, who was still trying to recover from the crushing blow to her chest. He raised his right arm towards her as a multi-barreled vulcan gun materialized over his hand. He pointed the weapon at Rhea's head, and smiled.

Say goodnight, toots.

Rhea closed her eyes, but instead of hearing the distinct popping noise of the battlechip, she heard an odd sound, like a nail going into a soda can. She opened her eyes to see the HeelNavi, vulcan in hand, staring at her with a look of absolute horror. She looked down to the navi's chest, and saw a pale bluish spike protruding from his chest. The HeelNavi flickered briefly before his entire body began to glow. Shortly afterwards, he beamed up and out of the network in the typical EJO fashion. Without the HeelNavi in the way, she saw it.

((Cue music))

An angular form stood a mere 5 feet from Rhea. It's pale white body towered over her at nearly 9 feet tall, its chest was the source of the deadly white spike that skewered the HeelNavi. It was connected to the ground, but had no legs to speak of. It's lower body had blue-tinted spikes protruding from its sides and back, which hunched forward awkwardly. Two long projections stuck out from the middle of it's back like two slender fingers, or wings, and was dotted with small patches of glowing cyan light. Two disproportionately large hands floated in front of the figure without any sort of visible connection to the main body, and had long, sharpened nails. Rhea looked further upwards, and managed to get a look at it's face. A pair of brightly glowing orange eyes stared back at her, but it's nose and mouth seemed to be covered by some sort of faceplate. It's head was adorned with long, spiky hair that looked more like metal spikes than actual strands of hair.

You...

The plate over it's nose and mouth formed several jagged cracks before it split open like a fanged smile. Behind the splintered mask was a bright cyan glow. The figure's gaze looked as if it could pierce stone and solid steel.

You all... are the reason...why I must suffer...

The figure's mouth opened ever wider as it yelled out in a rumbling roar.

DIE!!!!

Rhea, looking more like a crumpled heap of junk than a navigation program, choked at the sight of the ghost-- it was just as the descriptions had said, and it was evident that it wasn't an adversary that the fresh Navi would win against. It was so evident that she just sat there for a while, staring blankly at the ghost when...

"...-crackle-UP! GET-"

She blinked, flinging herself up in record time, and was turning, running like she never had before, taking in deep breaths, feeling the pain in every step she took. It wasn't that she was afraid of the ghost-- she was afraid that she would be removed. Permanently.

Summary of actions:
1) Run away
2) Running away
3) Run the f--- away
Rhea quickly realized she was in a fight or flight situation, and decided that living to fight another day was the best decision, and tried to flee. She quickly stood and bolted away from the menacing phantom program and managed to avoid the ghost's hand as it lashed out at her. The program screeched in frustration and attempted to pursue Rhea, but stopped short and started to fade away. Whatever that thing was, it didn't seem to be able to move very far from that scarred area of the network. It seemed like Rhea was safe, for now.
