To the Weather Station

[Sorry, was busy laughing at this post, planning for my own RP thread, and playing ToS2]

Beatnik, with her newfound, albeit trippy, powers, decided to "trip" off at HIGH SPEED toward the Pacman, who she imagined had a welder's mask, which was rolling around also at HIGH SPEED.

At any rate, the hovering nightmare started ranting about "BLACK SAMBAAAAAAAAAA" and Golden Arms and rainbow eye beams with astral claw tearing devices coupled with netangel vendettas against a certain giant yellow program. During this time, her trip boosted powers enabled her Rageclaw to do stunning amounts of damage, it was if she was on steroids. Oh, wait, she was on steroids. :'D

As Pacman had unicorns prancing out of HIS damaging attacks, the impact of Beatnik's attacks, as it looked like to the electric ballerina, caused violently violent shaded Tyrannosaurus Rex heads to start chomping gashes into the enemy while spurting, "OM NOM NOM" during the process.

With her final attack, the program exploded into a thousand million unicorns, stars, and randomly colored mildew. Yes, mildew. Beatnik had no idea why there was mildew, but nonetheless, that's what came out of this explosion. In Beatnik vision of course.

The Spookies, who looked like some horribly made ghost halloween costume to beatnik about now, floated up to the navi and gave their thanks while they retrieved what seemed to Toni, to been a smaller, stone version of the giant yellow thing they were just facing.

"Again, thank you so much for your help. I do wish we could meet again. Our master, the great pumpkin, beckons us," a Spooky said as it, and its companions, faded away.

Suddenly, Beatnik felt drained. Her former, broken, left arm had exploded into data moments before, and it looked to her like a bunch of wind-up toy chattering teeth came out of it. The hovering nightmare felt like her head was going to explode. Her eyes were bloodshot, and she had the constant urge to puke something out of her system.

Also, to her dismay, her arm was NOT made out of gold. There was a hapful amount of said material where the Pacman exploded though.

Well, all's well that ends well, time to check the weather.

Antoinette sat back in her chair and wrote a poem. Her musical accompaniment was the sound of Beatnik's wailing howls.

She had time to finish and proofread it before the screams finally subsided. Antoinette saved and closed the text application on her screen, bringing the view back to the Netscape. The weather station was still quite whole, and there was little evidence left of the climactic battle aside from a few dents in the structure and the big pile of yellowish goo that had probably been left behind by the giant yellow thing's demise.

Beatnik herself was in a bit of a strange position. She was on her hands and knees, but since her feet were propelled off the ground by those magnetic rings, she had to contort herself a bit to get both knees and palms in contact. Shuddering, Beatnik scrambled back up to her feet in an ungainly way.

"Well, that friggin' sucked," she commented as she skated slowly toward the weather station.

Two minutes later she came back out, far more vehement about her situation than she had been before.

"Yeah, so what if it's gonna rain? You're a sad sack, you like rain! You're all 'these are the tears of my broken soul' and crap!"

"Nobody likes walking around in the rain. I'm staying inside, Beatnik."

"Weenie," Beatnik growled under her breath. Preoccupied by Antoinette's loserdom, she skated back into the wild frontiers of the Net, unaware that she could be jumped by viruses at any time.

[Battle 6, please.]
After her latest encounter, normal virus battles wouldn't seem to cut it for Beatnik as she mellowly skated her way back.
Good thing there are EX versions, eh?
Three juggly Melodys bounce toward Beatnik as they spit out two amplified Cannondumbs onto the field. A Miner trails behind, cackling a bit.

"What is that thing? Huhn." Beatnik shaded her eyes, entirely unnecessarily, to get a better look at the Miner bringing up the rear.

"Beatnik, the others—"

"Screw 'em for a minute. We seen that thing before?" She waved a finger in the general direction of the Miner. "Looks familiar. Don't 'member where from, though."

"It leaves minefields. Not stepping on them is a good idea. Honestly, Beatnik, they're surrounding you—"

"Yeah, yeah. DashAttack."

"What?"

"DashAttack, Toni. Make this stuff snappy, now, or you're gonna get me deleted and I'm gonna have to haunt you an' shit."

With her face set in a very grim rictus that spoke of reprimands at a later date, Antoinette slotted in the chip that she had been asked for.

Beatnik grabbed hold of the data packet and went blasting off from a dead stop to top speed. The big plates of armour whirled madly around her. One locked into place on the back of her hand, hanging past the ends of her fingers; punching a sucker with it would undoubtedly hurt. That's precisely what she did as she went tearing past almost every one of the viruses. She swung her armed fist blindly at the blurs of colour as they slid through her vision.

That Shotgun's packet popped up on her systems, promptly followed by the Fireburn. Well, at least Toni was rolling with it. As Beatnik's legs began to give out after the improbably massive burst of speed, she picked up the Shotgun. She folded her fingers into a pistol shape and fired a shot of white-hot plasma at the Miner.

Another plate of metal — the first one had already detached itself from her arm — swung around and took its place in front of her. Its surface flash-heated as the Fireburn data funnelled into it. There was a low, almost subsonic roar, and a beam of liquid fire blasted out from the plate, igniting the air it passed through and putting itself on a direct course toward the stationary cannons and the half-remembered Miner.

Beatnik burst through the viruses at top speed, the Melodys jumping up, and nearly squashing her if she didn't use the wind boost to get through, crashing into the CannondumbEXs and deleting them outright. Skidding to a halt, Beatnik unloaded on the Miner, blasting and burning it into cinders. The Melodies bounce around for a bit, but the next move is still up to the electric ballerina.

"Y'know what?"

"What, Beatnik?" Toni said tiredly.

"It sucks bein' weak."

"Yes, Beatnik."

"I mean, no, seriously. It fuggin' sucks bein' weak."

The Navi wiggled her fingers. Electricity was already building up around her arm like little yellow worms of death. Miniature lightning bolts jumped from one part of her arm to another, and disappearing again almost as fast as they had revealed themselves.

"And this is the first time you're mentioning this? It isn't like we just lost all our chips two minutes ago."

"Yeah, well, I didn't think of it before now. And it sucks. So let's stop sucking, eh?"

"After you."

The plates of metal swung around with little more than a thought and locked into one big wall in front of Beatnik. The static leapt, in one big web of lightning, from her arm to the plates. She slammed down her heel and was off, blasting toward the Melodies with the wall of potentially lethal electricity leading the way.

As she tore toward the viruses, another chip came down — the Cannon. Beatnik called the packet forward into her hand. By this time, she had cleared a couple of the Melodies. With her tongue poking out between her teeth in the concentration required to skate and fire, Beatnik hurled the ball of plasma at one of the little maraca-shaking retards.

Beatnik charges up her power and a Melody bounces toward her, but the wind is helpful today, helping the hovering nightmare out of the way. The erratic skater bursts away at high-speed once again, crashing into one Melody, turning around, and pumping a Cannon shot into the Melody who attacked her.

She then gets hit on the head by the last Melody. Ouch.

Beatnik, still riding the momentum of her last spurt backwards, snapped her fingers impatiently for the next chip. It was, as she had predicted, the Rageclaw — seeing as it was the last unused chip they had.

"Awright. You just hang tight, we're gonna be outta here in a sec, and then we can leave," Beatnik said as the magnetically-clawed gauntlet formed around her hand again. She was expecting some kind of casual too-cool-to-care quip from Antoinette, but none such came.

"Hey, Toni?"

Nothing.

Beatnik reversed her momentum and kicked off. She took an almost causal hack at the injured Melody. Her mind was on other things. "C'mon, did you leave?"

It appeared that she had. Beatnik growled something under her breath and spun to aim two rapid slashes at the other Melody. Yeah, Toni sure watched out for her.

Suffice to say, poetic unjustice was done to these two Melodies with an unhealthy serving of Beatnik's raging magnetic claws.

Still nothing. Beatnik sighed, gathered up the fallen data, and ran the jack-out sequence herself.
