A Run Through Home!

Crown focused again, but he couldn't absorb the free floating data that powered his healing abilities. He tried again, but was met with the same failure as before.

"I apologize, but it won't work! For now, all you can do is try to dodge while I stall it."

Activating the private comm channel, Crown relayed just how exactly he planned to stall the large Mettaur. Nodding, his Op sent him two chips; RageClaw, and Thunder.

The RageClaw formed on Crown's right hand as he charged the Metool. Balling it up into a fist, he summoned all of his power and slammed it into the Met while simutaneously releasing the stored Thunder Chip. He aimed the Met in the direction of a broken panel. If it didn't fall in, it would hopefully be stuck on the other side where it would buy the duo some time.

Crown takes the offensive, punching at the metool only to... MISS? The large mass is surprisingly quick for its bulk, but the oncoming Thunder attack stops it in its tracks. Breaking free, the Metool roars and whacks another shockwave at the navis, only to have them dodge it.

"Now's our chance, Tetsujin! If we don't destroy it now, it will keep playing us as fools!"

Crown tossed the King's Javelin at the Giant Metool and immediately followed up by charging it, building up energy in his right hand while making sure to avoid any holes in the ground. He reached the Metool shortly after the Javelin did and attacked with all of his strength with a brutal swipe.

Tetsujin rose to his feet, ignoring the searing pain traveling throughout his body as he regained his posture.

"Damn straight!" he shouted, waving his fist through the air with passion. "No way I'm gonna let a couple of scratches get the best of me. Prepare your ass to be kicked, b****."

A small gleam traveled along the blade of his clawed left hand, his right glowing brightly as Mokujin slid in the Cannon battle chip. This would be the final assault; the finishing blow to this adversary.

"It's bust or get busted..." he mumbled to himself, raising his glowing right hand to his face as he eyed the massive virus. "F*** this one up, and you're out of the game."

He abandoned the flash of his usual motions as he made his final charge, making leaps and bounds to avoid the dangers of the cracked panels and holes all around him. The moment he was close enough, he would make two quick strokes with his Rage Claw, intended to slice through the very face of the virus before him. Then, with all of his might, he would perform a ferocious cross with his right fist, aimed to strike dead between the eyes of his opponent, releasing the full force of the cannon chip on contact.

He could only hope for himself that this would be enough.

BANG!
went the Cannon as a powerful blast of energy plunged through the virus, causing it to scream in pain and rage, wildly waving its pickaxe everywhere, not hitting anything luckily.
The sound of the virus soon ceased, and the monstrosity quickly dissolved into thin air.
Two packets of data floated slowly to the ground toward the two warriors.

"That battle was rough, don't you think?" Crown said, sighing. He tapped into his visor in hope that the odd wait period on his ability was gone. It was, but the free floating data that was usually present was well, gone. Everything had to be so inconvienant. At least this data packet wouldn't let him down.

Crown took it and opened it and was slightly surprised at the amount. Switching to a private comm channel with James, he informed his Lord of his recent findings. "We received no chips from the fight, but we did receive a thousand zenny. Quite a considerable amount, don't you agree?"

"Mmhmm. This brings my wallet up to..." James fiddled around with his PET for a moment. "Two thousand six hundred and forty Zenny. Nice, for a day's work. Wanna call it a day?"

Crown thought to himself. After a moment, he looked at Tetsujin. "Tetsujin, do you want to press on, or leave?"
"You can go if you want, but I'm staying here. I haven't kicked nearly enough ass for today." said the navi, cracking his knuckles and grinning with vigor, then pointing his thumb to himself. "It takes more than some lame pickaxe-wielding virus to take the fight outta me. A Seven nation army couldn't hold this back."

"An idiot, as always, Tetsujin..." said Mokujin to his navi, unsurprised by his navi's course of action. "Do what you will. Just don't let yourself be beaten."

"Of course, of course." said the navi, beating his chest with his right fist in a display of manliness.
"Heh. If you won't give up, then I can't, either."

Switching over to the private comm channel, James was notified of his Navi's choice to press on.

"Well, shall we get going then, Tetsujin?" Crown said, excitement hidden behind his words.

(Cue Battle 6)

"Heh, you guys think you're soooo tough, huh?" a voice taunted the navis. The two looked around and their eyes narrowed as they came in sight of a group of Heelnavis, wielding guns it seems, well typical real world gang weaponry possibly.
"Pft, seriously boss, let's teach them a lesson," another Heelnavi commented, flipping what seemed to be a stun-rod angstily(sp?). "Life's all about hardships, ya know?"
"Damn straight, let's kick these punks' ass!" another, cracking his knuckles together roared.
"Alright boys, let's get 'em!" the lead Heelnavi ordered, having his team charge the two.
Well, this was a predicament.

To the side, something green and shiny caught the two navi's eye.

-BATTLE 6-
-READY?-
-FIGHT!- (lol, Mortal Combat/Street Fighter/whatever)
Crown was annoyed by the HeelNavi's comments, although he didn't show it. This battle would be considerably tougher than the last few battles he fought. They were outnumbered, and with a quick scan, the HeelNavis were able to take more hits than him and Tetsujin...

And now all of them, minus the leader were charging them. Ideas raced in Crown's mind. Specifically, ideas on how he could deal with the HeelNavis. Five of them against the two of them weren't great odds at all.

James thought too. What if...

"Crown." James said, snapping his Navi out of his thought process.

"Yes my lord?" He replied, quickly. Time was fast running out and if they didn't act, the two man team would be goners.

"You think you can take out the leader?" James said, right after triple checking whether or not the private comm channel was being used. There was being careful, and there was being paranoid, but the teenaged NetOp liked to be sure.

"I could try. Bu-" The Navi's sentence was cut off by James who decided that this was the time to be a bit rude.

"Then do it, Crown." James sent the MarkCannon data he received earlier to Crown. High powered and accurate, just what he needed.

The cannon materialized over Crown's arm, it's weight becoming more familiar to Crown. He snapped his arm up, drew a bead on the leader HeelNavi as quick as he could, then fired a shot at his torso. Quick as a ferret, he dropped the single shot cannon and with a wave of his left hand, the King's Javelin materialized, rose up, and launched itself at the Leader Navi. The way it went, Crown made sure that a HeelNavi couldn't try to take a hit for their Leader.

Simutaneously, he gathered free floating data from the air and sent it at Tetsujin again to heal his wounds. While he did that, he yelled at Tetsujin a request that he hoped the free-spirited Navi would listen to. "Tetsujin, cover me!"

He knew at this point, it was useless to try and dodge. The Navis were too close to him. Crown steeled himself for what he expected would be very painful blows.

"Loud and clear." said Tetsujin in response to Crown's plea. "You do what you do while I give them something to worry about up close."

Crown's magical healing data of wonder struck him at that moment, easing the pain of the wounds that had been dealt to him by the giant metool earlier.

"Oh yeah!" said the navi, his usual grin widening as he cracked his knuckles. "Now I don't have to hold back anywhere near as much. Thanks for that, tin-man."

He entered his usual stance, poised for a mighty charge as he called to his operator.

"Gimme my claws, so I can shred some data."

And as quickly as he had said it, data formed around his hands, shifting and morphing its way into the familiar shape of rage-claws. Wasting no time, he charged directly toward his opponents, not having even considered the first he would attack. As a result, he'd attack as many as possible with the utmost of force. This would garner a mass of attention from the group, allowing Crown's plan to go into motion.

"I can't believe you guys are actually trying to mess with me. You're about a few million short of even touching me. You should go back to your motherboard for more training before you get yourselves hurt!"

Following his words would come with a single revolution of his body as he passed 3 of the heelnavis, performing a single, wide-arced slash across aimed to gash open the chests of his newfound friends. His intent was not to finish them yet, but merely piss them off enough to get them to come after him, rather than Crown.

Crown started off the assault, sending two highly accurate objects in the direction of the Lead Heelnavi. The leader "tch'd" as he dodged the first, narrowly, taking a little burn to the side of his face, before getting brutally impaled by the King's Javelin. The skull knight then sighed as he gathered energy from the air of the netscape and sent it to his brawling partner, healing him.
Renewed with energy, Tetsujin charged at the Heelnavis, slashing left and right, wittingly drawing their attention toward him.
"You're going to pay for that, you punk!" The navi with the Brass Knuckles growled as he dealt his own fists right into Tetsujin's face and chest. Though, he missed the face entirely. The stun rod navi followed up with a firm whack to the back of the neck of the martial artist, sending a course of electricity through his system. The Shotgun navi, however, aimed his weapon at Crown, grinning. "Easy picking," he commented, sending off a shower of shrapnel on the other navi.
"Empty words don't bode well with us, pal," the lead Heelnavi coughed as he ripped out the King's Javelin from his body and cast it aside.
"Touching you? Pft, I think we've managed to at least accomplish that, you trash talker." the one with the Stun Rod taunted Tetsujin. "What's wrong? Feeling a little shaky in the knees?" The gang laughed uproariously at this comment.
Well, this still didn't look good.

The Mystery Data sparkled unnoticed in the distance.

(Ah, I see. Wording of the rules had me thinking otherwise. Understood.)

Tetsujin could feel himself numbing momentarily as the heelnavi's blow connected with his neck. His body was weakened, but the grin on his face stood strongly as ever.

"Sheesh. I hold back long enough to give you a handicap and you get all happy." he said, rubbing the back of his neck momentarily, the feeling in his body coming back quite quickly. "I don't like people who talk bigger than me. My fist'll knock that quality right outta you, I promise. So you'll go down first. Just try not to cry too loudly."

"Street brawlers are irritating..." said Mokujin to his navi, inserting two battlechips into his PET: A cannon and a shotgun. "Silence this one and do the same with his friends..."

"Way ahead of you, boss." said Tetsujin, charging toward the heelnavi with an underhanded slash with his clawed hand, purely intended to miss. His intent was to forcibly miss with his feint in order to give the heelnavi a false opening, creating an opening for his own deadly assault: a deadly roundhouse kick, charged with the explosive power of a cannon, followed by an axe-kick charged with that of a shotgun. He'd mess his opponent up with style.

Crown stumbled back from the force of the Shotgun blow. Regaining his senses, Crown was quickly sent a Cannon from James. Aiming the now familiar chip at the HeelNavi Boss, he fired a single shot, adding his own brand of power behind it.

"Easy pickings aren't always so simple, HeelNavi. You may have quantity, but do you have quality?"

Though he concentrated on the Boss, he still kept an eye out for the other four Navis. He couldn't not be too careful, he didn't know the proper capabilities of the weapons, but he knew that if the duo weren't careful, they would find themselves eating dirt.

The lead Heelnavi.
"Boss!" The Brass Knuckled one called out to his leader, but he was far too late, the Cannon was unavoidable at this rate.
BOOM!
A great explosion later, heavy clouds of smoke started settling and...
the lead was alive! Though, pretty low on HP, his current body seemed to have a hardened substance on it.
"Phew, I'm glad I have this HardBody chip," the gang leader sighed in relief. "Now boys, go get 'em!" he commanded, his breath frantic.
"Alright... huh?" The Tetsujin that had been with the navis was suddenly a bit farther away.
"Huh, could've sworn he was right next to us... RARGH!" the one with the Metal Pipe screamed as he fell unconscious toward the ground, a Bighammer protruding out of seemingly nowhere from behind him. The weapon dissolved into data, but where had it come from originally? The fallen navi performed an EJO a few moments after hitting the ground.
"What the hell? I thought there was only the seven of us here? Who's there! Show yourself!" the Shotgun navi snarled, whipping his Shotgun this way and that, firing some stray shots randomly. Crown observed his movements and avoided getting hit by the bullets.

A voice behind Tetsujin whispered, "You have strength, but not enough at the moment, I shall assist you for this fight," A flutter of cloaks later, the martial artist heard nothing. Seriously, what was going on here?

The King's Javelin that the leader cast aside sprang to life and flew at the Leader. Meanwhile, Crown's eyes were on something entirely different. From the corner of his vision he swore he saw something like a hammer destroy one of the Navis. Whether it was hostile or friendly, he couldn't decide.

"James, did you see what happened?" Crown inquired his NetOp.

"See what?"

"Nevermind then, my Lord. Was nothing."

In the meantime, Crown waited to gague wherever the hammer came from.

A chill traveled down Tetsujin's spine as the words of this figure passed through his mind. A familiar feeling seemed to engulf him, filling his very soul; a strong blend of courage, excitement, and even fear.

Yes, fear.

"Oh hell no." shouted the navi, charging his way toward the stun rod-wielding heelnavi at top speed. "There's no way you're stealing my glory."

When he was less than 3 feet away from the heelnavi, he leaned his entire body back, shifting himself into a vicious slide, intent on two possible actions: the slide itself would trip the heelnavi, where Tetsujin would then grab hold of it as he fell. Should the heelnavi move, he would instead grab hold of the navi's moving leg. The action would then be followed by swinging and throwing the heelnavi's entire body like a large club at one of his allies, leaving them wide open to clawed frenzy as they attempted to catch or evade him.

The King's Javelin sprung to life and approached the leader from behind. However, he erected a barrier which protected the boss and went flying back at Crown. The navi caught his weapon back and dodged the incoming shots from the leader and the Shotgun navi.
Meanwhile, Tetsujin bitchslapped one Heelnavi into another, EJOing the first. Then he went into a frenzied attack, slashing furiously at the Navi with the brass knuckles, EJOing him as well.
Then his Rageclaw shattered, probably due to overuse.
The Shotgun navi was suddenly impaled through with a flaming blade, coming out of nowhere, the Heelnavi coughed as he fell to his knees, heavily damaged. The blade withdrew into nothingness.
The leader growled as he observed his surrounding, holding his gun close to him. "Where the hell are you, bastard! Show yourself!" More gunfire ensued from the two remaining Heelnavis, but hit nothing.

Crown hears a ruffling of a cloak behind him and a small whisper, "I leave the finish to you." The voice was soft, not a threat of any sort, for now.

"Damn straight!!!" shouted Tetsujin, his fist extended toward his final pair of enemies in triumph. He cracked his knuckles with excitement as he slowly stepped approached the shotgun-wielding heelnavi. "Well, well, gun-boy. Besides your esteemed leader, you're all that remains. I'm a fan of fair fights, so let's just make sure you can't snipe in on my buddy anymore, shall we? Don't worry, though. I'll make sure you go out in style."

An eerie glow began to form around his body as he spoke, a swirl of energy flowing around his body in a bright cascade of light. His ki was amassing, seemingly taking physical form as he harnessed its power.

In a quick burst of speed, he charged at the gunner in a linear fashion, tightening his fists as he focused ki into his fists for maximum punching power. It would be a bull charge; he would keep running until he landed a hit with his fists at full speed, and release his explosive power with both of them.
