Good luck, or a bad break?

"This should be a pretty good test. You don't have any complaints right, Sylk?"

A flash of blue came into the area, only to have the spider themed navi emerge a moment later into the glamorous net known as Netvegas. it had been a little while since she was last here, one of her many partnerships with Machman and the gang. She remembered vividly how he seemed to carry her to a victory, a bit of a theme when they were together, but he was strong so it was to be expected. Sylk was prepared to see just how well she could handle this area on her own for now.

So, with this shop ours to deal with now... are we going to try and get some good merchandise here i guess? You can find many things here, so it would make sense there might be something exotic. Sylk wondered about the kind of enemies they might see this time around, as she spoke. There were definitely some powerful enemies that time around.

Of course, thinking back to those times also made her blush a little, remembering how Mach had gently carried her around in the middle of it. Even if it had only been a moment, it was enough to leave a bit of an impression on the navi. She shook her head furiously, trying to shake the notion from her mind before she engaged in a fight. the last thing she needed was a destraction.

Alright, let's do this.

*ready for battle 1 *
And so, Sylk journeyed into NetVegas on her own, in search of shop stock...and soon encountered a trio of skeleton viruses bashing a pipe. They succeeded, turning most of the area into a lovely pond. Fortunately, a large ice chunk near the Navi gave her a spot to stand around and not be wet. Why was there a chunk of ice around? Because it's NetVegas. Best not to think about it too hard.

=====BATTLE ONE, READY=====
-----NO SLIPPING ON THE ICE-----
As the spider seemed like she was stranded on a stray iceburg, a chill ran up her spine sending shivers throughout her body. Sylk disliked the cold. In fact, she absolutely detested it. It kept her from even thinking about the enemies at first, of course she would soon come to hate them for doing this to the area. Her first thought, however, was to heat up the surrounding area. As Sylk was about to summon up some fire, her OP's voice rang out with distress.

"Don't! The second you do that, your going to sink into the water! Do you want to go for a swim in the sea? i highly doubt it." The voice of reason was true enough, as Sylk reassessed her situation and ceased the flames.

I hate it when your right... As infrequent as it is~ She teased, as she tried to think up a new plan of action. The floor beneath her was quite slippery, hampering her balance and her ability to focus on her enemies.

"Why don't you just summon your web then? It will be another easy fight then" Rei suggested, though Sylk seemed to have other ideas. The expression on her face showed she was thinking hard about something. Wheres the fun in easy though? I can beat them just fine as is, or do you not trust in my strength, hmm?

Rei was silent for a moment, before letting out a sigh. This navi of his was truly tiring sometimes, he found. "Just send the request through the PET as usual, and i'll give you what you need, then. Good luck."

Who says i need luck, hmm? A quick retort, as she made her first move. She realized she had to stabilize herself somehow, but was unsure if it would all go as planned. Sylk concentrated as beneath her feet spread a much smaller web then normal. As it coated the icy floor below, a few of the threads began to creep up her legs, wrapping around as it reached up to her knees. The arachnid prayed this would be more than enough to keep her stable from the recoil of the following attacks.

The next action was a little odd, to say the least. As Sylk envoked the power of one of their new chips, a sudden cloud of smoke appeared which shortly revealed a fuzzy little creature. The raccoon-esque animal looked up at the spider quizzically, as if waiting for an order... or perhaps a hand out of free food. Sylk wasn't too sure which. You here to help me little guy? Her question was responded with a quick nod, as it looked out towards the enemies in the sea. The bandicoon vanished in yet another puff of smoke, only to have it make a similar re-entry behind the virii seconds later. Sylk couldn't quite make out it's actions, though it seemed as if it tried to take something from one of the Skarabs, before returning to Sylk once more.

Seeing the little guy return, the spider began her assault freely, knowing she wouldn't harm her new little helper. A swirling mass of data began to form between her 4 upper arms, revealing the massive cannon aimed towards her enemies. She gripped the weapon hard, moving it into position as it charged up power. Reaching maximum capacity, a large blast was fired off towards the Skarabs, resulting in an explosion.

I'm not sure if that was strong enough to kill em,, but it definitely looked impressive She said, nodding at the destructive sight. Lets give them something else to worry about, just incase... Raising up 4 hands, a silken needle forming in each one. As the smoke cleared, each hand fired off their paralyzing attack, whipping the needles towards the Skarabs. If they survived, hopefully they would fall prey to the needles venom-tipped strike.

Summary:

passive: 20 hp casing

1) White web - anchor Sylk to the ground for stability.

2) pickpocket - 0 dmg, Steal from target @ SkarabB

3) TankCannon2 - (120 + Blast 2 - Accuracy: C) @ SkarabA, B, C

4) Spider's Venom - (Multi-target shot type - 4x Stun +self slow, 3 TCD) @ SkarabA, B, C

With the ice beneath her feet and the scary waters below that, Sylk had it made for her. Tethering herself to the ice chunk, she sent forth a Bandcoon to aid her in obtaining gratuitous amounts of rewards. Unfortunately, the Bandcoon had the misfortune to actually drown in the waters that surrounded it. The TankCannon she used later also only picked off one of the Skarab, making only a giant explosion of water elsewhere. The stunning poison needles were a success, though, but not before she was pelted with two throwing bones, courtesy of the two surviving Skarabs. One was defended against by her casing, but the other hit her on the head, causing her to become very, very disoriented. (20, Confused!)

And so, a stalemate.

Sylk winced at the blow to the head, followed by a snarl as her eyes glared at the enemy duo. Her armor of threading began to repair itself as she tried to recover from being disoriented. The blow was quite effective. The spider raised up a hand, glowing a dark black as two shadowy figured began to take form before each of the Skarabs. Sylk was hoping that if she let her minions deal with the situation then she could subdue the headache which currently plagued her. As the DarkMechs took form, their blades acted quick, striking out at the virii with no remorse. As their wide swipes of the blade came to a halt, the mechs just vanished once more into the shadows, leaving Sylk to her own battle once more.

While the DarkMechs had been attacking, Sylk was already taking precautionary measures. While she couldn't quite dodge while being anchored, she could do the next best thing. Heal. A large chunk of data was called down before her, which the spider quickly molded into it's natural candle-like shape. As the wick lit up, her energy seemed to return to her.

The regeneration powers of the candle would have to do for now, she figured, as she returned to her usual thoughts of offense. With only two targets left, it was time to test out one of her new weapons. Her two upper arms came together as the chip loaded itself into the PET. the handle materialized first, then formed to the trigger, and finally filled in the crimson barrels of the gun. It's iron sight was focused on the closest Skarab to her, as her fiery powers began to seep their way into the guns chamber. A reddish aura surrounded the revolver as it absorbed the spiders energy, flames now seeping into a second chamber as her many eyes expanded her gaze the both remaining targets.

As the gun reached its peak of power, the trigger was gripped tightly, as a blazing shot of fire soared through the sky. Moving her arms only slightly, lining the sights up in an instant, a second shot rang out as the flames burst forth through the air to their destination. The gun began to disperse into mere fragments of data as the shots approached their destination, Sylk looking on with anticipation.

Summary:

passive = 20 hp casing

1) MachineSword - 60 + Slashing + Wide Attack x2 Hits to each Stunned Target - Accuracy: B @ Skarab B, C

2) Candle1 - regen5, 100 hp object, firebody

3) Charge Magnum2

4) Magnum2 - (150 + 10 fire + Break + Panel Break + 1 Target per charge (max 2 charges) - Accuracy: A) @ Skarab B, C

Now quite disoriented, Sylk's attacks were just prone to failure. The MachineSword DarkMechs she summoned had inherited the aftereffects of her headache, and were waving around swords uselessly at the stunned Skarab. At least the Candle she summoned later did not need any sentience, as it simply glowed to heal her wounds. (+15) She managed to muster up some semblance of steadiness to fire at one of the Skarab, but the other shot was waved far off into the distance, wasting a powerful round.

Down to just one Left. let's finish this shall we~?

Sylks vision eightfold stared down her target, no mercy was to be had in her mind as she planned to wipe it out completely. There was no strategy here, no cunning plan. She was just going to let loose with everything she had. She started things off raising two arms up towards the Skarab, crackling of electricity surged around each arm as she activated the elecreel and doll thunder. She figured the poor virus atop the water would get a nice extra shock from the moisture as they connected. With no hesitation, two beams of golden current blasted forward at the enemy with incredible speed.

As the electricity left her body, Sylk's arms exchanged it for flames of crimson upon her arms. As the fires danced and grew into a more intense blaze, Sylk raised up her arms once more to her enemy. She didn't wait to see how her previous attack had fared, nor did she care. If it hadn't succeeded the next move would. That was her simple logic on the matter, and it was all she needed for this last remaining piece of prey. With a grin, an inferno of fire scorched across the air as it hurtled towards her target. Wether your fried or incinerated, it makes no difference~ You had no chance against me. She taunted, full of her victory.

"Sylk, I think we need to cut this one short. We have a couple other matters to attend to."

The spider sighed, wanting to go at least another round, but she understood they would be quite busy for the next while. With her wanting to check out that group Lee mentioned, and Rei trying to figure out this whole shop thing, it was going to be pretty difficult from here on out. Suddenly her expression brightened as she had an idea. one which might make this all a lot more fun for herself.

Hey Rei, why dont we invited Mazer and Mach? They would be a great asset to the chip hunting, and that means we could hand out a lot more, heehee. Maybe i can even drag them with me to the neo-shoguns. This will be great!

"Hmm... thats actually not a bad idea. Alright, I'll send them a request and see how it goes. I should have that e-mail around here somewhere. Alright, let's go Sylk."
