Beach Street Virus Bomb

Unsurprisingly, the batch of viruses appeared to be mainly water based, being based on a beach. However, they were fairly well dispersed. Walking among them wouldn't be a problem, but hitting more than one at once would be quite a feat...

======MISSION BATTLE SIX, READY======
------SILLY REAL WORLD SEARCH, OVER------
[[[[[[BLUB 'EM AT WILL]]]]]]
With glaring eyes, Trent scanned the gaps between the viruses, noticing the distance between them. This distance, he knew, would break apart the effectiveness of several of the chips that Mark commonly liked to send to him. This made Trent surprisingly happy, as he knew his blades would do more than the other chips of choice. His large hand floated down one of the handles on his belt and withdrew the blade slowly, the weight of the knife feeling comfortable and familiar.

Trent would hear the shuffling of Mark as he sorted the chips and examined the field of virus. Mark wasn't sure of the distance between them, doubting the ability of some weapons to work to their full potential. Just as Mark sent to speak a strategy to Trent he was interrupted. "We both know that they are too far apart for some chips to hit. I already know how I want this battle to pan out. Send me the shield and the electric knife."

Mark chocked on his words before managing to spit out, "The guard chip? Really?" Mark held the tiny data chip between his fingers, flipping it around nimbly. Trent's response was a stoic expression as he eyed the lines of viruses to determine his attacks. Mark shrugged it off and slotted in the chips for Trent before waiting to see what his navi had planned.

Trent was grateful for the correct data, halfway having thought Mark would insist upon sending in the incorrect information. Trent held the already withdrawn knife in a reverse grip and quickly reached for the finger ring knife on his hip, holding it in a saber position and loosely looping his finger through the ring hole. both blades lightly bounced with the motion of his bouncing feet. Trent stretched his large arms back and around before uploading the elecknife data to his system, spreading the charging out among both blades. Energy arced from the blades as his massive body lowered closer to the ground before push off.

Trent rushed the lines of the viruses, heading for the left most flank first, going after the starfish virus first. With luck the virus wouldn't be the most agile around as he charged, and it wouldn't dodge the incoming electrically charge blow. Leading with his left hand, the saber grip knife, Trent maintained his light on his feet stance, seeming to fence with the virus playfully. After throwing a feint or two Trent thrust the main attack forwards, hoping to zap away the virus.

Trent withdrew himself from his thrusting stance before turning his attention to the next target. Trent had little idea what most of the viruses could do, and decided to play his primary assault safely and attack down the lines instead of getting too involved into the fray. The puffy was next. His eyes turned upon the inflatable virus, narrowing as he did so. Trent moved forwards, thrusting as he did so, playing with the virus in the same manner as the last. This time Trent did his final attack differently though. He tossed his weight towards the puffy throwing a powerful icepick style over head attack to the puffy with his reverse grip blade. Trent loosened his grip on the knife, leaving it behind for the purpose of quickly being able to use his right hand to spring backwards from the enemies.

He landed on one knee and crossed both his arms before him and summoned the guard chip. A transparent guard formed before him. Trent looked through the guard, seeing the line of the viruses being directly before him. If an attack hit the guard from here this spot would be his best chance at getting a proper rebounded attack.

Trent waited behind his shield for a moment as he observed the viruses setup once more. His eyes became keener, the weaknesses and movements of the viruses seeming to slow down as his brain took in and processed more information faster. A smirk slid over the face of the warrior as his senses increased in sensitivity, and his desire of combat grew. Once the guard was down, the next attack would start, and it would be vicious.

Mark saw what his navi was attempting, but also saw that he would likely be taking some strong hits soon. His hands glided over the chip stack and found the totem chip, the only healing based chip the duo had to use. "We are going to need you to use this soon I think," Mark said flashing the chip before his display that Trent could view.

Summary
*Passive Pull if a target attempts to Retreat from close combat with Trent.
1) ElecKnife to StarfishEX ((60 + Slashing + Elec)x2)
2) Electknife to PuffyEX ((60 + Slashing + Elec)x2)
*Free Action: Swordplay (Dodge)
3) Guard1 (1 Hit Shield) + (Reflect(up to 60 + Piercing + Line Attack): On Hit
4) Process Upgrade Attack: Battle Wrath Haste + 40 Strengthen (80)
As soon as the Navi started heading for it, the Starfish began to blow some bubbles between the two of them, and sent them forward. Unfortunately for him, Trent couldn't get out of the way in time, and found himself completely trapped in it (20). The second bumped into the first, causing both to pop, but he clearly felt the effects (20)...but not so much that he couldn't escape the third. He then gave the Aqua virus some delayed punishment, shredding it apart with the ElecKnife. He then went after the blowfish with similar vigor, and ironically, it tried to retaliate in the same way...but before it could finish preparing its bubble, it found itself pierced from above, taking heavy damage. But alas, it didn't finish off the Puffy, and it sent a bouncing bubble forward, which managed to track the Navi down despite his movements (20). He then put up a protective shield, and waited as he psyched himself for battle...

...But oddly, the viruses seemed to stop, as the Shellgeek kept its shell closed tight, and the Jelly, while starting to glow, lazily floated up and down. As for the SnakeArm...wait, where did it go? It looked like it vanished...but it didn't. The sandworm rose from the ground, and lunged at Trent's back...hitting its target, and in the process, avoiding any Guard-based retaliation (20). Painful.

Due to the way the viruses are arranged, no attack can hit more than one virus. They are still close enough that it will not expend an action to move from one virus to another.
The damage Trent sustained was painful, but expected. All in preparation for his next series of attacks. His eyes cast a glance down at the now unused shield at his back, which would most likely remain unused it seems. The elecknife still gripped in his hands, he turned his eyes upon the attacker behind him, the snake arm. The enemies was dangerously close for a near unarmed fighter, as he desired to save the elecknife for the squishy forms of the jelly and shellgeek. The inner portions of the shellfish would be easily fried by the power of the knife.

Keeping his body low behind the shield, Trent turned to engage the sneaky attacker; or more accurately to disengage. He briefly sheathed his elecknife in his right hand, and secured a tighter grip on his left saber hand. With a massive lunge and swipe of his large hand, the warrior attempted to grab the virus and rake it into the incoming attack. The blade thrust forwards when Trent thought he had a secure enough grip, aiming for what would be under the ribcage of the virus. He held the attack suddenly, letting the blade try to sink in further on the target. A flick of the wrist turned to the blade, and a rotation of the shoulder turned his massive form as a foot rose to kick the virus back and away. He moved behind the shield again.

"Trent, we need to use as many knife attacks as we can right now. With you process upgrade activated you will not be touchable. I am going to slot in the kunai chip. Use it to drop the rest of the puffy and snake arm behind you. Then get over to the jelly, we need to use the elecknife on it soon. If we don't we might not be able too and that would be a huge loss. Ignore the shellgeek mostly for now. I believe we have the best chance to take it out if we don't have to take it out around everything else."

Trent stopped for a a minute, attempting to find some hole or mess up in Mark's battle plan. He couldn't find much in the way that he would do it differently. This was a strange feeling for Trent, he normally regarded Mark's advise as trivial at best. His brow furrowed and his eyes narrowed at the thought of Mark starting to understand how Trent fought. "Understood Sir," Trent responded, deciding to pay respect the idea.

Mark was shocked and speechless, unsure of any of his actions other than slowly slotting in the Kunai chip. Trent took the data and pulled out three new knifes from his sheathes, the data being new from the chip. Each one was a rich black tone and each one already had a desired target, and each seemed to thirst for it as Trent held them in his hand. His itch for the assault for the slash was beginning to over take his senses. He pulled back his right arm, grabbing a kunai in the process and threw it for the snake arm. He carried threw on his motion, flinging another towards the snakearm, this one with more power and weight behind it than the last.

Trent rolled out from behind the cover, and after regaining his balance from the roll, threw the final of the kunai at the puffy virus. The warrior stood up, grabbing a knife in each hand, both in the reverse grip position, one was the elecknife. Quickly he moved towards the Jelly, by passing the shellgeek entirely in this movement. The elecknife crackled as the watery form of the jelly became closer and closer to its grasp. Trent jumped into the air, hand pulled back and reach to pass the voltage into the virus. His crashed down in an ice pick fashion, expelling electricity.

Trent regained his footing before pulling the other knife up in a sweeping arc and rolling backwards towards the shellgeek, with an attack he knew would mostly likely be stopped by the strength of its shell, but luck could be on the warriors side, if it opened as the attack drew near.

Summary
1) Combat Tactic: Disengage to Snakearm (60 Damage + Slashing + Knockback + Dodge)
2) Kunai1 to Snakearm (30 Slashing + 30 Slashing + 10 Strengthen) and Puffy (30 Slashing)
Free Action: Swordplay: Dodge
Free Action: Fast Warrior: Tactical Movement Near the Jelly
3) Elecknife to Jelly ((60 + Elec + Slashing) x2 + 30 Strengthen)
4) Combat Tactic: Quick Slashes to Jelly and Shellgeek ((Dodge + 30 Null + Slashing)x2 Targets)
Unfortunately for Trent, the Guard immediately faded upon commencing the signature attack, unable to access more than two abilities at once. The bad news continued further as the SnakeArm burrowed into the ground before the Navi could get there, reappearing behind him for another strike, which nailed him in the back again...or so it would've, but his acrobatics enabled him to prevent the worst from happening. Continuing the knife assault, he launched the triple kunai attack, managing to read the sand worm's movements perfectly with a pair of sharp strikes, yet somehow the knife fell to the ground before it could reach the Puffy, causing it to sigh in relief...only for it to bounce into the air, and land right on the fish's back. That...hurt.

As he passed by it, the ShellGeek opened its shell, revealing an angry black...sphere thing. It made an inhalation-like motion, then spat a single arrow out. Strangely, the projectile lacked a razor sharp point, instead having several, arranged in a star shape. Not that Trent noticed, as he prepared for his ElecKnife, crashing it down into the jellyfish...

...Or not. Where'd it go? A quick look revealed the Jelly was now quite some distance from the Navi. Closer inspection revealed why: an arrow stuck in its side. Strangely, however, it was no worse for wear, and promptly landed, creating a tsunami to strike its would-be attacker...and unfortunately, it came too quick to be properly evaded (30). At least the counterattack returned the favor, though the Shellgeek was a bit too far away to try to get in the same attack..

Trent shook his head violently as the water passed by him leaving him wet from the attack. From the corner of his eye, he saw how exposed the shellgeek was, and decided to take no chances in loosing this attack opportunity. He quickly bounded off towards the virus, using his quick speed, to try and shiv the soft center of the virus before it could bring its natural armor back up to the plate. Trent had to work fast or the window would be lost. He tossed the electric knife over to his left hand with a nimble movement, catching it in reverse grip as he tried to shove the thin weapons edge into the soft center of the virus. Trent kept his movement going, taking one sweeping motion to move back from the virus, and abandoning his knife battle chip behind, hopefully while in the process of cooking the little shell fish.

Trent eyed the now distant jelly, knowing he wouldn't be able to attack it right now, and also knowing the jelly wasn't as much of a threat as before. He noticed that the jelly needed to charge an attack before it could be used, and decided to turn his movements unto the quick and deadly snakearm that had been plaguing his for too long. As he began making his attacks towards the arm, Mark's ever so familiar voice of disruption rang out and it was accompanied by the presence of a new data chip. It was the totem chip. "Use it. We need healing and help. Use the chip."

Trent begrudgingly agreed, knowing the truth behind those words. His attacks hadn't always been useful and in a few short movements from the enemies, he managed to lose half of his health. He did need the ability to hold through these attacks. With a toss of a knife into the ground, he summoned the totem, which was glaring at the enemies with its usual red face. Trent took out a blade, held it reverse grip, and jammed the tip into the top of the flat totem. The structure turned a bright blue color, and proceeded to bath Trent in a healing blue light.

"Now, we can't do anything to get our feet or momentum going just yet. Get your other process upgrade prepared and wait for the actions of the enemies. We should be safe in this."

Trent, once again, knew it was true. He had no way to get his feet rolling to be able to attack more now. What respect Mark had just built was being eroded away yet again, as Trent hated more than anything to stand still and not be attacking. He was exposed, and dealing no damage to the enemies, which were causing him issues. He shouldn't have listened this time. His brow furrowed at the thought of listening to Mark more often.

Summary
Free Action: Fast Warrior: Tactical Movement to Quickly approach the Shellgeek before it has time to close back up.
1) Elecknife to Shellgeek ((60 + Slashing)x2)
-drop Elecknife
2) Summon Totem (Red Face)
3) Jam knife tip into head of totem (1)
*Activate Totem: 50 Healing
4) Process Upgrade Feel No Pain (Time Delay Attribute(Start of Next turn) + Shadow)
Both Trent and the Shellgeek wasted no time, as one rushed towards the other, while said other started closing its shell. But who won the race?...This time, the Navi emerged victorious, managing to slide the ElecKnife into its face before the shell fully closed. He then got rid of his weapon, and summoned a Totem virus, which he quickly changed the face of (1 to Totem), causing it to heal up some of the injuries he had sustained (+50). He then started to prepare himself for the next round, but that would take a little time...

The Jelly floated back into the air, and began to glow blue as it prepared its next assault. The SnakeArm, sensing a lack of resistance, dove into the ground again, then suddenly launched itself at both the Navi and his summoned object, managing to get both in a linear strike (20) (20 to Totem).

But no sooner had that happened, Trent's physical form began to change, which would make it much, much harder for him to take damage for a while...

Due to the way the viruses are arranged, no attack can hit more than one virus. They are still close enough that it will not expend an action to move from one virus to another.
After taking the hit, Trent welcomed the presence of his shifting form, a devious grin overtaking his face as one of the viruses lay practically at his feet, ready to be diced. The shadows of the warrior darkened, and his silhouette became stronger and harsher. A ominous shadow was cast permanently over his face while shadow mode was active, and the guarantee of a solid wave of attacking was very promising to Trent. His hand dashed to his side grasping the finger ring blade in a flash as his finger and steel intertwined into one effective unit. Reaching a large hand down to the snakearm, he brought the blade down across what he believed to be the spinal column of the virus. With a sinister grin and sweep of the arm, he pulled back from the target and raised his eyes beyond it, hoping to have left it in the dust as he set his sights to the final target.

Mark flipped a few chips between his fingers watching the tide of the fight. He knew Trent hated having to stand by like that and wait, but it was for the best here. His mouth relaxed from a worried expression but his eyes did not. His brow was still tight as he slotted in more chips for Trent to use. Trent wouldn't be happy after this fight, Mark didn't imagine. "Here is a personal favorite of yours. Finish this up and we will only have one more fight to make it through."

The new data was welcome to Trent, the Ever so familiar sword chips being the go to option for him. With his empty hand he withdrew a knife, uploaded with the sword data. A longer blade was withdrawn accompanied by a strong blue glow from the weapon. Trent picked his boots up, blades before him, shoulder forwards and charged at the jelly. His shadow form still very much intact, he had no issue running up the field. His feet carried him quickly and his motions were led by his sword hand, the weapon waving dangerously before him. The jelly was near him now, and Trent wasted no time in throwing out his attacks. The warrior pulled several feints and false slashes before throwing the true attack, a powerful horizontal slash.

Trent uploaded the other chip granted to him by Mark, the zapring. At first he thought the chip would prove to be overall useless here, but the chance of stunning the target only promised a better shot with his trusty sword. In one fluid motion, the left hand weapon was sheathed, and his old standby was gripped firmly in his palm, the Makarov pistol. The pistol was yellow in color now, being influenced by the zapring chip. A squint of the eye, a squeeze of the trigger and a moment later before the circular projectile was launched. Trent moved his feet quickly once more, following the path of the bullet to take as much advantage of the use of electricity here as possible. One more slash to the blob that was the dome of the jelly was executed.

Trent briefly turned his attention back to the totem, and began its attack pattern on the snakearm, just as an insurance measure. The totems eyes opened very wide as its jaw hinged open like a nutcrackers. A orange light could be seen down the face of the totem as he unleashed a wall of fire upon the poor target near it.

"Good job Trent. If anything remains you should be able to pick it all off with your own attacks," Mark said, instantly regretting the wording he used. He covered his mouth and waited, getting no response from Trent, not even an acknowledgement.

Sometimes, it's not important to know how the victory came, only that it did. This was one of those times, as no one could be certain exactly what happened. One thing that was quite clear, however, was that the Jelly created another wall of water to strike Trent, but it harmless went through him as he continued the road to deleting it. Spiffy.
