Yoka Virus Bomb

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the viruses in Yoka's bomb were all water-based. Though...then it would've made more sense for it to be at the hot springs. But it was in the zoo. And not even nearly an aquatic animal. Seriously, why would AUGH BRAIN CRAMP AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

...Just fight the viruses, and don't ask questions.

The viruses on these bombs were getting more and more difficult for him to drop in a few simple attacks. These would take a considerable amount more to down, as the two EX viruses had high amounts of health. Trent's eyes narrowed at the thought of these viruses. A slight smirk slid over his face, the challenge here was starting to getting fun for this mission. "Send me something to hit the groups with," Trent demanded of Mark. Mark thought for a quick second, having already slightly planned out what he thought would work nicely. The first thing he reached for was the machinegun chip.

"This should work great for you, Trent," Mark said hoping his choice would be a strong one for Trent. It was indeed. This was one of the chips Trent himself had in his mind for what he wanted. He started to uploaded the data of the chip, while Mark spoke. "We should try to get you into the combat of them sooner, we have a great means to down them quickly in our knife collection. Plus its your favorite way to fight."

"No." Trent answered simply, giving no mention of a reason or alternative plan of action. The data for the machinegun was finished uploaded, and Trent stretched and flexed his fingers, which hovered just above the grip of the pistol.

"Why not? It makes sense with what we have," Mark said, slightly put off by Trent's bluntness. "It would work wonderfully, they are all water element."

"I said No. Slot it in later. Give me a zapring chip." Trent said, his hand still readying for the quick draw machinegun action. As the data from the new chip was present, Trent drew the modified pistol and began to squeeze the trigger. The thunderous bangs of the large bullets firing filled the area, the ringing sound echoing strongly in Trent's ears. The bullets were fired into the ground, aiming more for the ShrimpyEX in the middle, alone with the nautilus that was close behind it. Trent only hoped for the weakening of the lines, just enough for him to get some serious damage in on his follow up attacks.

Without lowering his arm from the firing position, Trent twisted his body to the end of the lines, locking the iron sights on the Senbon on the end. The pistol had switched back from a machinegun pistol, to its normal form. Normal besides the lightning arcing out of the clip, and into the ground. The trigger was pulled, the electric bullet wizzing through the air loudly, a trail of lighting following its way towards its destination.

Knowing the enemies would start to attack back after his quick drawing pistol shots, Trent started to move in an evasive manner, ducking and dodging to the left and right, even crouching low and rolling to his left. Once back on his feet, Trent started to allow his thirst for close combat to roll over him. A desire to be toe to toe with the viruses overtook the navi, his adrenaline pumping quickly through his veins. With several moments of feelings the rush of the idea of combat, Trent dropped his pistol back into the holster, and withdrew two Knives and charged the lines.

"With the damage inflicted, the charge should be far more effective. They wave of attacks normally of puts most forms of retaliation from the enemies. I'll slot in the Elecknife know, so that you can access it's info later," Mark said, Trying to impress Trent with proper chip placement prior to being asked. He had to learn how to operate Trent and earn his respect.

Before Trent could so much as blink, an odd bubble suddenly surrounded the Nautilus, who wasted in no time in separating itself from its virus comrades for some reason. Fortunately, the movement itself took several blinks to fully witness. Not that the Navi was, since he immediately opened fire on the blue Shrimpy in front of him. Unfortunately, luck wasn't with him on this occasion, as only 3 of the automatic bullets managed to hit their mark, though one of the misses veered far off course enough to whack the Senbon. The virus wasn't pleased, and prepared to return the favor with some sharp needles...but ZapRing ensured that plan didn't work.

Surprisingly, the viruses restrained themselves from immediately attacking, slightly stunned at the sudden disappearance of their blowfish friend. However, once he started rushing them, they released their fury in the form of water and bubble blasts. He managed to sidestep the Shrimpy's attack, but there was nothing he could do against the Lark's fury, save for bracing himself for impact (30). Painful.

Mark raised a finger to talk down to Trent saying he was foolish for his actions and not being prepared for their attacks, but Mark didn't have the courage. He knew Trent has some kind of plan here, and once Mark looked beyond the charging the lines tactics of Trent, he found it out. The elecknife that Mark had just slotted in was being gripped in Trent's right hand, forward grip. Arcing electricity jumped and flashed from the blade, lighting leading the strike on the warriors first set of swings.

Trent held his left blade in reverse grip, and attacked with it first and foremost. He was going after the Shrimpy first, using a combat tactic before opening up with the knife in his hand. His feet moving quickly, he bounded into the air thrusting the knife downwards in a back arc, trying to slash and tear into the shrimp virus. His body his the ground, his knees giving way to his forward momentum as he rolled over towards the Lark. In a rising left slash, the follow up attack from the tactic was complete.

Mark simply watched his Navi go to town, knowing the thrill of the close combat and quick tactics was making his heart pound and his blood boil. Mark had to worry about Trent's sanity, and if there was an issue with his core, similar to the issue with SINN. Most likely there wasn't, he had almost always been like this. A brute almost, but a smart one; most of the time. 'I need to earn this guys respect. Right now I just arm him and provide information and battlefield layout. To earn his respect though, I'll need to provide better tactics. Hrm.'

Meanwhile, The lightning from Trent's elecknife was licking forwards towards the viruses, ready to latch onto their watery forms and cause some serious damage. Trent gave the knife the opportunity. Once he had finished his first attack pattern, he jumped back slightly to realign, before diving in towards the Lark for the next attack. He tried to drive the knife home into it watery body, sending some of his rage through the blade as well, adding to the impact. Not letting up his assault, Trent dodged to the right of the Lark and redelivered a beefed up electric knife attack attack, trying to insure the deep fried nature of the fish shine through.

Lastly Trent turned his attention towards the Shrimpy, knowing that the bubbly Nautilus was far out of range of any of the attacks he had prepared at the moment. The elecknife called out for more of the water enemies, but Trent actually sheathed the knife, disabling it electric properties. Trent pulled out another knife, and dove into attack the Shrimpy, once again targeting the creature with a Combat Tactic. Trent did a passing slash with the left knife, before driving the right knife forwards and up, like a gladiators execution, and the brought a heavy boot up to roundhouse kick the target to his side. Trent raised his head to the sky, locking eyes on the last virus, and started to make his way over to them.

4) Combat Tactic: Disengage to ShrimpyEX (60 + Slashing + Knockback + Dodge)
*Free Action: Tactical Movement Start to move towards the Nautilus
Trent immediately got to work, though surprisingly, he elected to go with a less shocking approach. Unfortunately, his slashes proved more quick than slashes, unless one counted the air as being cut down; neither the Lark nor Shrimpy even had to move to avoid the onslaught. The ElecKnife fared better, luckily, as the manta ray virus found itself suffering the effects of super effective strikes. Not happy at this, it tried another burst of water power to make the Navi suffer, but this time he was too quick for it, and successfully avoided the WideShot. Sadly, it still succeeded, in a sense, as the additonal movement was JUST enough to make the second lightning infused blade miss its mark.

As Trent approached the Shrimpy to try and place a coup de grace on it, it decided to try its luck again, releasing another bouncing bubble. It was too flustered at that point, though, and the Navi didn't even have to try to avoid it, as he ran right past it and planted his knife into the crustacean virus, ending its participation. He then managed to kick it to get some distance, which was quite a feat considering it didn't even exist at that point.

As he moved towards the Nautilus, the knife wielding Navi got a strange feeling that he wasn't getting all that much closer to the shelled virus. And he would be right in that assumption, as it was doing its best to keep that distance maintained.

Trent was highly annoyed from that round, as splendidly as he set himself up to do. The lark still lived and the silly Nautilus was running away from him instead of staying for the fight. Trent would have to devote time and energy to getting to the nautilus at this distance, if he wanted to engage it in close combat, which he oh so did. However, against his own thirst to feel the blade in the Nautilus, Trent listened to the tiny nagging voice in the back of his skull, known as Mark.

"We should just shoot them," He said plainly. "Why run away from the Lark, towards the Nautilus, only to have to double back around and charge the Lark again? Just shoot them both." He dipped his fingers into the chip pile, and pulled up a few random chips. The Kuani, the second zapring, and a shotgun came into the mix with his grab. "Use these. This shouldn't be much more than a wrap up section, assuming that bubble doesn't shield for much."

Trent Pulled out his Pistol and turned on his heel after listening to Mark's little speech about shooting the viruses. Dropped down low to one knee, he raised the pistol up, iron sights overtaking his views as he aimed down the barrel at the LarkEX. It was finally time for this time to go down. Trent pulled the trigger, firing two bullets at the enemy. The bulles weren't normal bullets however, and were longer, thinner slugs being fired. The shots took on the effects of his knives, and delivered slashing damage. Oh the wonders of a linked custom attack system.

Trent, thinking the danger from the Lark finished, rotated once again, looking down the sights at the Nautilus this time. The chamber of the pistol was glowing brightly, light spilling from it in a radial manner, slashing the warriors face in a soft glow. He squeezed the trigger. The recoil was light, but the bullet fast and hard, as it buzzed towards the Nautilus, lightning following in its wake.

"Good, now get in there!" Mark shouted, having determined that Trent would follow the round into the fight, ready to get closer to the fleeting virus. And Mark was right. Once the bullet left the barrel, Trent kicked himself into high gear, running alone behind it, hoping that the sudden impact or threat from the zapring would cause the Nautilus to lose track of him.

Three knives appeared in his hand as he ran, each one balanced and ready to throw. One blade followed another as Trent tried to close the gap between himself and the pesky shellfish. Trent pulled himself to a stop, after his assault was done. "That should clear out this round," He said.

Summary
1) Buster shot to Lark 3*3*2=18 + Slashing
2) Buster shot to Lark 3*3*2=18 + Slashing
Free Action: Swordplay: Dodge
3) Zapring1 to Nautilus (40(2) + Stun1)= 80 + Stun1
*Free Action: Tactical Movement: Forwards towards the Nautilus after firing the Zapring.
4) Kunai to Nautilus (30 x 3 + Slashing)
The bullets managed to completely and utterly turn the Lark into junk data, who was unable to move away from them in time. Trent then launched a ring of electricity at the electronic ammonite, who wasn't quite moving, confident in the power of the bubble encasing it. It shouldn't have, considering the ZapRing penetrated it like a hot knife shaped bullet through cyberbutter. Ouch. He didn't bother with the trio of Kunai, since, well, there wasn't much point in it.

On the other end of the ouch spectrum, the PET's healing processes kicked in (+30). Woo.
