Students Questionable Activities Breed Violence

Destin Obscura, once a college student, had now returned to the networks to crush another viral outbreak.

DragonierMan, Magistrate, Suzume, and Aya appeared in the deep, dark Dentech Chaos Net in bright beams of light. They fanned out in a cross formation, backs to each other, as they began scanning the disorderly soon-to-be-battlefield around them. They were here to hunt the highly dangerous third iteration of the Forest Dragon, and the dragoniers would not be ambushed by them so easily. Muscles tensed between taught leather and armored plates as their sharp eyes peered into the gloom. Their wings slowly extended outward to their full spread, as they prepped for taking to the sky at a moments notice.

[Requesting Battle 1.]

Making their way into the chaotic landscape of Dentech, various signs and posters of long gone events, stores and even famous navis of thirty-fourty some years pass...including some of a certain blue-clad hero of ages past doing advertisements for differing types of products. But despite the surrounding dilapidated buildings and structures of city's past, Dragonier and his cohorts would find themselves in a clearing, park equipment for younger bodied and minded navis slowly sinking into the ground as it radiated an extremely powerful energy, the crackling of bugs in the ground as it sparked and angrily groaned at the quartet's arrival, but not as much as the low growl that comes out from an ornate jewel encrusted vase towards the north of the open field, sitting on a pane of glass. Within, a green dragon not unlike the thunder dragons he had murdered previously up in space not too long ago, a heavy crown upon it's scaly head.

Surrounding it, atop the cursed, crackling terrain surrounding it was a trio of viruses, a small almost-grey with flecks of red in it's feathers hummingbird virus with a buzzing beehive in it's talons, an extremely tattered looking Scarecrow with electrical pylons replacing arms and poking out of the very top of it's head and a dark blue Bunny virus with broken ears staring dead ahead, right at Dragonierman. The roar of the dragon echoing about as it slipped into it's pot and took on a defensive position. Battle began, Routines started, it was dragon hunting time.

-- Viruses -- (In a rough Triangle formation around their king)
King ForestDragon3ForestDragon3 (ForestDragon)

This high tier virus is only encountered after battle 5. A PotDragon's pot is stationary during battle, as it remains above the panel the virus appeared on until battle is over or the virus is deleted, and will not fall even if the panel below it should be destroyed. PotDragons have two main attacks, each geared towards either ground or aerial targets. When executed, the pot tilts or falls over, and the dragon charges at the enemy before looping back and returning to the pot. When threatened, they will duck into the pot, which is both indestructible and capable of shielding them from all damage and effects except those that manage to fly into the mouth of the pot. Even Beam Attacks and Blast damage won't leave a mark.

Possible Rewards (Per Virus): WoodDragon3, Zenny
: 300 HP (Glass) (In pot)
Honeybomber3Honeybomber3 (Honeybomber)

Honeybomber viruses do not dodge, as they instead counter attack against hits taken. They are actually capable of moving from place to place with great speed, but rarely chose to do so. When they do move, it is always to interpose themselves between an opponent and one of their allies, although this doesn't always happen. Honeybombers only attack when struck by an attack, and even then, only if they survive the hit. This counter attack is not prevented by Impact, and may execute the same number of times as a Honeybomber has actions in one turn. The Honeybomber may elect to target different enemies for follow-up swarm launches after the first target has been attacked once that turn. While Honeybombers do have OmniShoes, and are constantly flying above the ground, they still enjoy the benefits of wood-based terrain regardless of altitude.

Bunny viruses move by hopping. They are adept at jumping, and can reach higher terrain or hop onto objects with ease. They are also very good at dodging, and are treated as having Haste (+10%) for Evasion purposes only at all times. Omega Bunny has double Haste (+20%). These effects cannot be removed except by Glitch. They attack by launching a ZapRing from their ears.

-- Chaos Battle 1 Ready? Start!! --
DragonierMan looked over the battlefield and snarled at the King ForestDragon3. "Magistrate, send out our own WoodDragon to meet his Highness." Steam shot out of the air holes in his mask, drawing a wispy mustache across the nose-guard. "Suzume and Aya, after we give tribute in emerald green, give them ruby fire. I will finish the job."

Magistrate nodded and brought out a small jar from her pocket and put it on the ground. She stepped back as it grew, shooting up over a half-dozen feet in an instant. She put her hands on the intricate carving on the large pot and tipped it over. A howling of wind erupted from the pot, along with a cyclone of leaves, as a large green dragon shot out of the pot like a cannon. It roared as it made a beeline for the King ForestDragon3, leaving a trail of flammable green in its wake.

Drago disappeared under the cover of those leaves, vanishing from sight, as Suzume and Aya took aim at the viral horde. Suzume threw up her hands as flames erupted from them in belches and gouts. She tossed fireballs at the King's retainers, burning hot orbs that exploded on impact. Attempting to scorch the wood viruses into kindling. While Aya pushed her own roaring pot over, releasing a hellfire of a flaming-hot dragon. The fire dragon boiled the ground as it rushed forward to torch the King ForestDragon3 and anyone else that got in its way.

"Scatter!" Magi shouted as the three teleported away to the far ends of the battlefield. Avoiding trouble with rapid maneuvers high in the sky, as Drago appeared above the King and its retinue. Flames danced in his mouth as he inhaled. "Burn!" he shouted as he unleashed his own breath into a raging inferno. He exhaled a searing flamethrower into the cluster of enemies. A wide cone of blistering flames blasted down upon the King's throne, melting down everything into burning-hot lava.

He didn't let up as he charged the King with the alacrity of a speeding train. Bowling over everything in his path as he blazed his own trail across the top of the lava, parting it like the red sea. Energy coursing around him in a mach cone of destruction, as he traveled into the West.

Amidst the cursed and mangled former playground, the king virus and its followers seemed more aggressive than the dragonier's previous encounters with this unusual viral effect. DaragonierMan had time to flash away to his high altitude vantage point, but even as he gave his orders, the forest dragon was already surging forward. It rushed from its bejewelled pot towards the three programs still preparing attacks at ground level, meeting Magistrate's answering dragon and swerving around its lunging bite to shoot past, towards the dragoniers themselves.

Magistrate's attack couldn't connect with the onrushing dragon, though it crated an interwoven stream of grass alongside the trailing mud splashed liberally around by their foe. Her assault also missed the hovering honeybomber as it zipped forward alongside its leader, but connected with the raggedy old scarecrow, obliterating it in passing, and snapped down on the bunny with a resounding crunch before it faded. The bite might not have been strong enough to devour the beefy bunny most other days, but here the ground seemed to weaken the virus enough to let Magistrate's dragon end it, for now.

Meanwhile, the leader of the viral group ploughed headlong into the trio of support programs before they could get away, crashing through thee group before they could even get their defences up properly. It circled back as it sent them all for a loop and retreated towards its pot, back across the freshly created mud and grass.

Clinging on by the thread of their various second chance protections, Suzume and Aya countered; Suzume's first shot blasted the defending bomber to fragments as it tried to guard its king's tail, and her second shot hammered into the dragon itself just as it retreated into its pot. The glass beneath it shattered with a crash, dropping the pot from sight, into a deep pit, just as Suzume's fire dragon chased it down the shaft and a scorching, land-searing heat breath immolated the field directly around their target from above, melting ground and play equipment alike into a molten mess of lava.

Immediately, the girls got airborne properly, warping to various high altitude positions as they brought up their defences, but in the moment of breaths caught it seemed there was nothing remaining to move or attack them further down below.

The others agreed. And in a quartet of flashing lights, the four beamed out.

Having taken a break, and upgrading for Round 2, DragonierMan and his Warriors of the Hunt returned to the dark, gloomy, and cursed forests of Dentech NET. This time they would be more alert and on-guard against the deadliness of the WoodDragon3 virus, which was currently out of control. With Drago had gotten a whole new set of heavy plated armor, ready to throw himself into harms way in order to keep his squishier teammates alive.

[Requesting Battle 1.]

The woodlands around the edges of the Den networks were usually pleasant pockets of quietude and a chance to get away from the relentless tech of the main network, but this deep down the area that Drago and his team arrived in was dark, gloomy and twisted. The ground underfoot was rough and uneven, broken by rocky protrusions and bumpy, raised root arches that seemed to keep the network terrain from maintaining a proper forest floor – the best it could do was normal descriptors, intermixed with cracked and damaged sections, and sometimes around the bases of many of the trees, a strange, seeping glow of data corruption.

The trees hemmed in tightly all the same, tall and twisted with their branches reaching up and out and creating an interlaced canopy of clawing limbs that let in only a small amount of external light; the open sky was still up there, clearly, but they couldn't see much of it.

As the party progressed signs of life were scant at first, but it wasn't to long before they came upon a particularly robust tree, thick and squat with many empty knotholes and cavities dotting its trunk. Partway up the tree, above even Drago's head height, one hole in the tree's trunk now contained a familiar dragon pot, wedged in at an angle to let the occupant exit and return easily. A growl and a rumble echoed through the wood, reverberating through the tree itself and gaining volume as the threatening roar sent ripples through the surrounding trees; a pair of glowing eyes glared out of the pot's open mouth, warning the newcomers.

In response to the roar, other things moved in the low light. One a higher branch of the same central tree, a battered-looking Trumpy hopped out of a different opening and began an energetic fanfare, almost as though introducing the dragon below. To either side, drifting out from behind different gnarled and twisted trees, a pair of nearly feral-looking Swordy appeared, swords ready and threatening, while above them, in the low crows of the two side trees, a pair of corn viruses picked themselves up and began to rumble and swell, as though to add their own spectacle to the fanfare.

Strangely, though the viruses were adopting a vaguely familiar allegiance and order as they faced Drago and his team, the dragon itself didn't seem to bear the monarch anomaly that they'd encountered before – for all appearances this was just a wild and feral collection of viruses that had gravitated towards the more powerful entity. Or possibly towards its treasure hoard – in a different cavity in the central tree, a crystalline object gave off a purple glow that added to the eerie lighting of the soon-to-be battlefield.

-=Chaos Battle 1, Start!=-
The dragoniers were saved from stumbling through the dark forest as they floated over the rough terrain. They kept their eyes watchful as they scanned the branches above their heads, below their feet, and all around them. Enemies could jump out of any nook and cranny. Pop out of any shadow. Behind any bit of dense foliage.

They came upon a large, Robust Tree, where two viruses made it their home. A Trumpy3 and their ForestDragon3 prey were up in the knots and branches. All around them other viruses began to appear. Twin sets of GigaCorns and Swordy-W3s. It was quite a showing of force.

"Target the Trumpy first," DragonierMan growled. The Trumpys of the past always were great supporters to their allies, and this one was no exception. "'ll strike the Trumpy out of the tree first. Then you will finish it. Then the Swordys. And we'll save the rest for last." The others nodded.

Drago then vanished in a twister of dust and leaves, followed by the others. They appeared all around the treetops, ready to strike down from above. Drago tried to appear behind the Trumpy, high up in the upper right branches of the Robust Tree. His fists glowed with an awesome golden power as he threw the first punch of the battle at the Trumpy's long face. The light reflected off of his shining scales and the silvery bubble that encased him in its protective aegis, as he jabbed at his opponent with enough power to knock it off its perch and send it sailing to the ground below.

He followed it down in a beam of white, as he dashed through the tree after it. Yes. He angled himself diagonally down, so that the ForestDragon3's pot and the falling Trumpy would align as best as he could (the correct timing was critical), and with a loud crack and boom he broke through the sound barrier in an instant. He attempted to plow directly through the tree and to the forest floor at almost the speed of light, striking both through the center of the tree where the dragon lay and the falling Trumpy.

As Drago attempted this latest feat of one-man destruction, the other three took up positions to rain devastation upon the virus hordes. Icicles launched from Magistrate's fingertips like tiny missiles. They arced up into the tree canopy and then lanced down through the leaves upon the Trumpy and the two Swordys like a rain of arrows. Tiny fireballs swirled out from Suzume's open palms like fireflies and made beelines for the same three viruses. They would attempt to crash into the area like solid iron cannonballs that were wrapped in searing flames, breaking and shattering and burning everything in their path. Finally the hum of throngs of electrified hummingbirds flowed through the dark forest like a river of lightning, as Aya did her best Dark Emperor impression. She cackled like an old witch hopped up on her own power as brilliant flashes and sparks discharged from her hands in webs of energy that illuminated the viruses.

With the first major assault completed, the three warriors quickly tried to evade the enemy response. They attempted to dodge and weave around the branches and canopies of the trees, trying to elude their pursuers. The trees might shelter them, just as they might shelter their opponents.

Surrounded by the motley assortment of dangerous viral foes, Drago was quick to give orders to his crew. As he spoke, the Trumpy began to play a boisterous fanfare that washed outwards and set the other viruses glowing with a faint light and so emboldened, the dragon rushed forward, diving from its pot towards the clustered dragoniers with a muddy roar.

It splattered down into the clearing, circling about, but just before ti arrived its targets had already warped away in their signature tactical manoeuvre that so effectively foiled many a virus' opening attacks. The two Swordies tracked with their foes as the other dragoniers teleported high up, above the canopy layer. Each one raised its sword towards one of the girls, but rather than teleporting after them or swinging ineffectively, as they might have expected, each Swordy seemed to grip its blade tighter, focusing, before a sudden twin burst of purple and green tendrils exploded from each sword point, snaking across the field and unerringly seeing out targets with a though-scrambling screech of angry static that clouded thought and mind.

It wasn't enough to put Drago off as he reappeared; the fanfare of the Trumpy suddenly became a panicked, faster-paced alarm noise as Drago arrived behind it, before cutting off in a metallic, honking crumple at the end of his crushing fist. The virus tumbled backwards, out of the tree and down to the ground, eliciting several more sad, broken honks as it tumbled and struck branches on the way down. It landed with a wheeze and continued to play weakly in the muddy mess that the dragon had left behind.

Above, floating over the gnarled canopy layer of branches, Magistrate made her own attack, targeting down through the obscuring branches with care. The shots were more difficult from the trees, but the icicles themselves tore through enough of the layer to make further attempts easier to line up. Two icicles shot down towards the Swordies that still clung tight to their swords in focus, but they each scattered off the protective glow about them, seemingly without effect. The Trumpy was not so lucky, and Magistrate's attack pierced it and pinned the virus to the ground with a last, final honk of sound before blessed silence followed. More or less. As the Trumpy died, the invulnerable glow surrounding the other viruses faded away, just in time for Aya and Suzume make their own assaults. Suzume was a hair faster, sending fire bolts down amongst the battlefield to seek out the Swordies and put an end to their dizzying assault: they burned violently until nothing remained. Her third shot struck towards the dragon, still returning to its pot, but managed only to strike the wooden bole of the tree, setting it ablaze instead.

As Aya followed with her own attacks, a moment behind her sister, the two large corn viruses hopped out along their branches to look up at the dragoniers above the trees. They made for perfect targets, now that the Swordies were gone, but even as Aya re-aligned to send her crackling lightning bolts to pop the corn, both viruses hopped slightly and disappeared; the bolts slammed into the wood where they had been, without landing. The two irksome viruses reappeared up above the canopy with the girls, still bearing broad, excited grins as they began to rumble with small pops, readying bombs of their own. Aya's last bolt of lightning sought out the dragon, but her luck was not in today; preparing itself for Drago's coming assault, the virus retreated inside and let the lightning skitter ineffectively around the pot's impervious exterior.

While this was happening, Drago followed up his first strike with a high-powered dive that crashed bodily through the tree in an explosive shower of wooden shrapnel. The tree itself was robust enough to withstand his passage, though the dragonier left a large hole clean through its middle. The force of the impact dethroned the dragon's pot, launching it out of the tree and down into the mud below, as well as dislodging the dragon's horded wealth, dropping the purple crystal down to the mud alongside it – the more delicate object didn't seem to appreciate the fall, but it was still intact for now.

As Drago sped off towards the other side of the clearing and away, drawing the lurking attention of the forest dragon with him, the two remaining corn viruses exploded, showering the air above the clearing with concussive bursts; it was almost like fireworks. But popcorn. Viruses were weird. Even so, Aya, Suzume and Magistrate were forced to duck and dodge quickly to avoid the pleasant-smelling incendiaries. They managed to do so unharmed – Even these powerful, veteran GigaCorn were every bit as flashy and inaccurate as their higher network relatives, it seemed. They didn't seem to care too much about missing though.

As the concussions faded away and popcorn showered the muddy ground below, a fresh wave of dizziness overtook the dragoniers, and everyone else on the field as well – purple and green lances of writhing energy snaked across their vision in confusing and misleading ways, disorienting their senses as a final legacy of the twin Swordy's attack.

ForestDragon3ForestDragon3 (ForestDragon)

The dragoniers swept through the opposition roughly. Enemies were scattered like leaves and the trees were damaged. As Confusion swirled through the battlefield, the four warriors reached deep in themselves to calm and clear their minds. The ground and branches beneath each of them began to rumble and break. It just so happened that while they were entering this zen-like state, they physically damaged the terrain by drawing upon its energies like a leech.

DragonierMan did a little dance of fancy foot-work. Cocking his arms like they were guns as he hyped himself up. And then took off in a flash, racing forward to punch the reeling dragon with his large, golden fist. He drew back with his muscly arm as he ran, slid to a stop right in front of the big beasty, and used the momentum to thrust his fist directly into the virus' stomach. If he managed to sock the ForestDragon3, he would cause the virus to sail back into the damaged Robust Tree, splintering it further.

Meanwhile, the three High Altitude Warriors drew their great and heavy swords from their broad sheaths. The trio raised them overhead, almost in unison, and then vanished. When they reappeared they had surrounded GigaCorn A. The three warriors dropped their arms in a mighty overhead swing. Their swords sang loudly as they followed a straight arc down, down, down into the GigaCorn's big, corn-like head. Leaves and wood chips would go flying.

Then the trio turned toward the other GigaCorn. GigaCorn B.

"Come forth great warrior!" Drago shouted as he drew his sword and threw it towards the ForestDragon3. The blade was snatched in mid-air by a ghostly warrior wearing heavy armor which appeared out of nowhere. It flickered, vanishing, and then reappearing beside the ForestDragon. It thrust its mighty LongSword at the beast's hide, its blade gleaming with phantasmal light, eager to draw blood. And then it pursued the dragon, stabbing at the virus as it went with the knight's glowing saber. Hunting it down like a dog. Like a wounded fox.

The lingering disorientation and mental disturbance caused by the Swordies was easy enough for the dragoniers to shake off – though of an irony, it seemed to be far more of a problem for the remaining viruses. As the team restored themselves, cracks opened up in the ground and branches shattered. One corn virus tumbled down to the forest floor again, landing on its head right as it tried to create more popcorn blasts – nothing came out but the faint scent of cooking grains and the sound of a couple of troublesome backfires in the mud. The other corn tumbled down as well, landing better, but by the time it had righted itself properly the ground under it caved in further, dropping the hapless virus into a pit in the middle of the field. A moment later the hole filled suddenly to the brim with fresh popcorn.

A similar fate, minus the popcorn, had befallen the dragon at the base of the robust tree; its pot dropped into darkness, leaving the head and neck of the virus to uncoil further and further as it tried to keep hits view above ground level. Its gaze weaved in a distracted way, trying to focus on the dangers surrounding it and the moment of uncertainty proved to be a bad thing for the dragon virus; Drago was there a moment later, one fist slamming into the exposed virus and throwing it bodily back against the tree with a crack of splintering wood. It slumped forward after the blow, growling and roaring in confused agitation, then cast around for the source of its suffering. In its confusion, the dragon seemed to lock its attention onto the purple crystal beside it and lunged towards it with a snap... but its efforts were more flail than fight and it found only air this time – lucky.

While Drago was dealing with the confused dragon, the three ladies warped in close to surround the broken, popcorn-filled pit. Just as they arrived, the virus itself popped up from the middle of the freshly-popped mount and blasted another round of explosives upward – it seemed to be mostly centred on itself, but despite this, the blast didn't manage to make contact with any of the dragoniers or itself – mostly they were just pelted with harmless movie snack food. A moment later they brought blades to bear and dissected the virus efficiently.

After its failed bite attempt, the forest dragon slithered back, slinking most of the way back to its pot while Drago summoned another blade-bearing ally to help them finish up; it struck at where the dragon had been, but unfortunately, by some uncanny ill-timing, managed to miss the creature's retreating form. A second later, the dragon blasted upwards again, shooting out of its pot and into the sky. It went straight up, reached the top of its dive, then came right back down again – it was hard to tell if it was even attacking anything. The summoned Swordy wasn't going to miss its second chance, however, and cut the dragon a deep blow as it dropped back into its pot, still deep in a broken hole in the ground.

Elsewhere, mostly forgotten about for now, the remaining corn virus pulled itself up out of the mud and bounced a few times in place, still disoriented. It seemed to focus on one of the few remaining high branches and the disappeared... only to reappear somewhere else entirely, high up near the canopy and decidedly not on any convenient branches. It hung in the air for a moment, glanced down, and then tumbled back to the mud with a second rough thud. These chaos tier viruses were not really living up to their reputations today.

The Chaotic dance of the Chaos-Tier Viruses were very Chaotic as they flailed around against the coordinated efforts of the dragoniers' attack. More than once the Purple Mystery Data was put in jeopardy by the Chaotic battle taking place around it, but it Chaotically survived. However, the battle was coming quickly to a close.

DragonierMan turned to his ghostly knight-buddy and pointed to the last GigaCorn. "The dragon is wounded and on death's door. Go help out the others."

And with a flash of light, the five warriors vanished and reappeared near their respective targets. Drago appeared above the ForestDragon3 deep within its pot, while the other four appeared around the GigaCorn B. The four warriors surrounded the muddy, upside-down virus and decided it needed a prune. They brought their swords down and hacked at it with their blades. When their blades shattered on its hard hide, they took the shards and continued to stab at the virus with the pointy-ends.

Drago, meanwhile, cracked his knuckles and dove into the pot with the dragon. "ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA!" came from the pot as the Navi tried to punch the hell out of the dragon.

The Gigacorn would quickly launch off a big kernel of corn towards the group in a last dich attempt to damage and destroy the navis in it's confused haze, though unfortunately for it, their teleports went off well before the blast could connect with the quintet. Within moments, the SP Trio would descend upon the poor Gigacorn to hack and slash it to it's eventual death, attempting to evade the strikes as three of the four sword strikes connected, sending it to the digital grave as it was stabbed and stabbed like in some sort of horror movie, the corpse masticated beyond comprehension before disappearing. Meanwhile, the Potdragon stayed in it's hole, swirling around within it's pot slowly in a confused haze...and was promptly murdered in much the same fashion...Dragonier's fists of steel crushing the dragon's skull inwards as the rest utterly destroyed the pot, shards just barely not harming him as he continued to destroy it in no uncertain fashion. All the while, long after the battle finished, their rewards would be scattered about, ready for packing into the PET...and the obvious glowing purple cube in the room.

As the dragoniers gathered up the rewards, DragonierMan brought forward a key ring and used one of his keys to Untrap and open the PMD.

[Subchip Folder: [x3] Untraps.]

[NC Programs: Millions - Mystery Data will only drop Zenny. Only works if MD is safe to open. If the MD is trapped, the trap will negate the activation of this NCP. This NCP will not Untrap any MDs.]

[Use Untrap on PMD and open it.]

[Subchip Folder: [x2] Untraps.]

A harsh screech from within cried out as the untrap was used, forcing the viral data within to disappear in short order. Within, a chache of zenny poured out onto floor, covering the navi's feet and lowest parts of his legs in a deluge of zenny.

PMD: 21,000z
Zenny: 11,840z+ 21,000z = 32,840z

The dragoniers took the time to scoop up the zenny into sacks. The damaged spooky terrain around them currently free of danger for the moment. When they had finished, they would move on.

[Requesting Battle 2.]

Moving on from the scene of devastation, the dragoniers plunged deeper into the den tech woodland, seeking more dragons to hunt. For a short time, the dark forest gave little sign of others of their bounty, but before to much longer the rumbling sound of an agitated dragon's roar caught their attention through the woods to the west.

Following the sound, the group came upon a place whee the woods thinned out into more open space, centred around a large raised structure of some kind. It was a series of steps leading up about an average navi's height, to a flat-topped platform. The steps and platform were made of a high-tech metallic circuitry that hummed with energy, while a diamond pattern in the middle glowed with an alternating green and yellow light. In the centre of the light, a large, delicious-looking green apple rested, seemingly unattended.

At the edges of the steps, a large pair of bunny had stopped in their chasing game to look across the open space, towards the source of the sound – in the back left of the open area, from where Drago and the team arrived, an old, craggy-looking Armadil had apparently crashed into the pot of another forest dragon, who had now emerged too rumble ominously at the other virus. The Armadill was taking its own time, as usual, and not paying too much heed to the agitated dragon. There was a sense of some other presence watching from between the trees, and a moment after arriving, each of the dragoniers caught sight of a pair of eyes flickering from one hiding place to another, at the edge of the clearing, watching.

-=Viruses=-
KilboKilbo (Kilby)

Kilby viruses try to stay at least 3 panels away from their enemy at all times, and dodge back and forth constantly. Kilby viruses only attack once per turn, and when they do, they teleport to a position flanking their target, and stab them with a Bamboo Lance. This lance strikes at Long Sword range, and may hit two targets at once. After attacking, they teleport back to the panel they were standing upon when they first began their attack sequence. They are mindlessly oblivious to the hazards of terrain. Kilby Omega viruses attack differently. Instead of attacking from the side, they attack 3 separate targets from behind with Bamboo Lance. They also teleport before and after the attack, just as lesser Kilby do, and only attack once per turn. They are mindlessly oblivious to the hazards of terrain.

ForestDragon3ForestDragon3 (ForestDragon)

-=Chaos Battle 2, Start!=-
"They look like mostly grounders. Let's take to the air thin their numbers from above. Target the Kilbo and the two MegaBunnys first. I'll go after the Armadill or AppleSamu. Whichever one gives me an opening," DragonierMan stated to the group, after everyone gave each other a once over. He then folded his wings around himself, vanishing as if he stepped through a hidden doorway in the forest, and appeared again high above the canopy. An icy sheen crackled over Magistrate's hands as she disappeared in a cloud of watery mist, appearing high above the battlefield with wings spread wide. Suzume caught on fire and seemed to burn up and disappear in front of the enemy, air-bursting into the sky far above with a loud boom. Aya looked like she got struck by an errant lightning bolt, before appearing in a sparkling static field well above the enemy. Everyone clad in heavy shimmering fields that bent light, and layered in dragon scales.

Drago waited and watched from above, waiting for the Armadill3 or AppleSamu3 to clad themselves in a protective IronBody, before unleashing a rain of rocket fists upon one of them. It was like his armored gauntlets disconnected from his body and rocketed down on jet engines, before his bare hands regrew the gauntlets as if being dipped in liquid metal. The rocket gauntlets formed into mighty fists as they approached, ready to pummel the defenses of the virus of choice into smithereens.

Meanwhile ice-blue blobs of gelatin, red-hot high-caliber missiles, and yellow-white jagged lightning bolts rained down from the trio of dragoniers flying high above. Everything was aimed at the bushy Kilbo and the two giant MegaBunnys as they teleported and hopped around. They were very evasive targets, so the dragoniers were taking a saturation-level-bombardment approach, blanketing the battlefield with miniature explosions and pock marks.

Then the four flapped their wings and began to evade in their own zig-zagging flight pattern. Dodging and weaving through the air as the enemies below would look to the sky and try to knock them down. Flying in circles above them.

A quick assessment of the field let the dragoniers note the inability of several of their foes to deal with aerial targets and they quickly began to assume a skyward position above the field. Drago warped away first, any the two bunnies followed his movement, interrupting their play to look up at the figure now above them. They both crackled with energy and shot off a pair of electric rings towards him, but between a failure of targeting from one, and the distortion of his teleport for the other, both rings failed to connect with their target.

The other dragoniers followed suit a moment later, and as they each appeared in formation the dragon below gave up on scolding the Armadill and let out a roar, launching itself upwards at the cluster of clearly more pressing threats to its territory. The arcing body of the dragon soared up towards them, but it misjudged the angle it needed somewhat, between the various shimmering cloaks of energy that enshrouded the group, and did not manage to connect with any of them.

The armadill, on the other hand, recognised well enough when a fight was not going to go its way; it turned, curled up and began rolling swiftly across the field, making for the far side and potentially away from the fight – however this was the moment that Drago himself had been watching for and as it tried to get away his rocket t fists hammered down across the field on its trail, one after another. The first thudded into the ground just behind the virus, but the next two slammed in, causing the fleeing virus to topple and tumble, uncurling again as it ground across the last few panels of its run to end up badly damaged and struggling to stand upright again at the edge of the trees.

A moment later, the girls began to bombard much of the rest of the field with their own battery of assaults, aiming mostly for the bunnies and the flitting eyes between the tree. The evasive Killbo moved about from one shadow at the edge of the field too another, and despite their best efforts it didn't seem like any of their attacks managed to connect through its evasive movements – it repositioned quickly, waiting for an opportunity to strike. The bunnies, however, were not so fortunate, caught out in the open as they were, and despite rapid, panicked dodging, the two were swiftly overcome and deleted by the storm of attacks.

Throughout the brief exchange of firepower, the apple in the centre of the field remained closed up and guarding, for now, but the dragon, after returning to its pot for a moment, tried to attack the group a second time. Its second leaping assault however, went no better than the first – it missed half of the team, while those it was on track for managed to evade smoothly before it reached them. It fell back to the ground, returning to its pot with more irate growling.

-=Viruses=-
KilboKilbo (Kilby)
