Escaping to the One Place That Hasn't Been Corrupted

The group struck out further into the cold dark, but hadn't been travelling for too long before something in the distance to their right caught the dragonier's collective eyes. It was distant, at first; a bright point of light glow in the distance and growing closer. The point grew at what they would realise was an alarming speed, leaving a trail behind it of multi-hued light that stretched out more and more.

In another few seconds, it became clear that it wasn't a point of light approaching, but some kind of trial, or stream. It twisted and curved, looped over on itself and rose and fell in an erratic way, blistering a rainbow of light towards them and leaving behind a crazed roadway through the dark.

A moment later, the leading edge of the light blasted past them, just beneath where the dragoniers flew and leaving them, for all it seemed, drifting in the middle of a hard light roadway made up of a spectrum of repeating colours. The leading edge shot onward without slowing, but in its wake the faint ghosts of racing cars blasted past as well, one after another, all jockeying for place. Other more tangible entities seemed to have been dragged along with the on-going space race, skidding to a halt along the bright road-way all around the dragoniers.

Two high tech satellites rolled to awkward halt a short way in front and behind their position, while a particularly nasty-looking mettfire had fetched up against the side of a large dragon pot that had rolled a fair way past the group before tipping into a more stable, upright position. Seemingly better able to control itself, a large many-armed gigas-type virus seemed to have been chasing after the careening race car images on its rolling ball, but now focused its attention on DragonierMan and his allies instead, bringing its floating arms up into a fighting stance.

Area: Netopia, Sharo, NAXA

HP: 300
Primary Attack Damage/Effect: Trap(Enemy in Targeting Cursor) + Seeking: Movement (High-Alt) + Dodge + Lock-On + Nullify Invis
Primary Attack Accuracy: C
Primary Attack Description: Generates a targeting cursor that sweeps back and forth across the field, looking for a target. The cursor ignores decoys, objects, illusions, and invisibility. If the cursor intersects with an actual enemy, Lock-On is achieved, and the virus launches itself into the sky at High Altitude.
Secondary Attack Attack Damage/Effect: (15 Null + Seeking + Enhanced Accuracy) x 10 Shots
Secondary Attack Attack Accuracy: A
Secondary Attack Attack Description: When Lock-On is achieved, this virus fires a barrage of 10 highly accurate shots at its chosen target before landing in its original position. Accuracy debuffs on the Satellite while using this attack are reduced in severity by one rank.
Element: Null
Possible Rewards (Per Virus): Lock-On3, Zenny
Special: Immobile outside of its primary attack.
Special: This virus will repeat its primary attack until it finds a target, after which it will be able to use its secondary attack once. When it changes targets, either of its own volition or its current target's death, or uses its Secondary Attack and lands in its original position, it must repeat its primary attack until it finds a new target.
Notes: Triggering invisibility or an illusion, or moving the Satellite forcefully after Lock-On is achieved does not allow a target to escape Lock-On. Lock-On is a shift in the Satellite's state, not a status inflicted on its target, and thus cannot be removed.

God HandGod Hand (Gigas)

The Gigas are a clan of 8 foot tall viruses whose semi-humanoid bodies are made of a durable metal alloy. Gigas lack legs, and instead roll around on a 3 ton solid steel ball 2-feet in diameter that rests in a cupola. Rising from the top of the cupola is an alloy pillar that supports their metal bodies. The Gigas fight with their huge iron fists, which are provided their immese striking power by large barrel-like forearms. Their great-helm-like heads sit directly atop their shoulders with their blocky hinged jaw slanted in a sneer while their neon-red eyes radiate their hatred of all things Navigator. It is speculated that Gigas are a hacked derivative of the Bladia viruses spliced together with fragments of other viruses and a healthy dose of battlechip program data. This would account for their size, strength, and malicious nature. Where and how this was possibly accomplished is unknown. Gigas move at increased speed, but dodge at a slower than average rate. Gigas viruses prefer to pummel the life out of their foes with their bare hands (even though using the ball-and-chain in melee range would be more devastating), but if they find themselves surrounded or at a great distance to their target, they will use the ball-and-chain to perform a HammerToss. If an object blocks their path, they will either send it flying with a GigasArm attack, or smash it to dust before continuing on. Gigas will sink like the lead weights they are in liquid, and they know it. They will avoid liquid terrain entirely, if possible, and will never appear near these types of naturally occuring terrain for this reason. Only a Gigas' body is damageable. Striking a Gigas' cast iron arms will not damage the virus or the arms themselves, no matter what you hit them with. The Gigas' will not intentionally defend themselves with their arms, as they should be too busy pummeling or hurling something to bother. Do not abuse this.

ThunderDragon3ThunderDragon3 (ThunderDragon)

This high tier virus is only encountered after battle 5. A PotDragon's pot is stationary during battle, as it remains above the panel the virus appeared on until battle is over or the virus is deleted, and will not fall even if the panel below it should be destroyed. PotDragons have two main attacks, each geared towards either ground or aerial targets. When executed, the pot tilts or falls over, and the dragon charges at the enemy before looping back and returning to the pot. When threatened, they will duck into the pot, which is both indestructible and capable of shielding them from all damage and effects except those that manage to fly into the mouth of the pot. Even Beam Attacks and Blast damage won't leave a mark.

-=Battle 3, Start!=-
The dragoniers dodged out of the way of the go-carts driving on the rainbow roadway, and became surrounded by the enemy that pursued behind the racers. "Let's take the high ground before more things run us down!" DragonierMan called out to his fellow warriors before spreading his wings and vanishing from sight. The others followed, teleporting high into the sky so as to avoid more of their terrestrial obstacles. Defensive fields went up around the aerial fighters as they took a moment to survey the battlefield below. They circled above the center of this new battlefield, their eyes darting from target to target like raptors picking out the most juicy prey.

"Suzume, Aya, lay down suppression fire on those Satellites and God Hand. We can't let them shoot us out of the sky." Drago ordered. "I will summon reinforcements to deal with the DeathFire and ThunderDragon3. Magistrate will act as support; it won't last long on its own. I'll join in the cleanup."

With orders given the four split up. Drago drew his sword and threw it, as best as he could, behind the DeathFire. If his aim was true, the blade would thunk into the multi-hued highway, point down; sheathing into the hardlight-like pavement like the Sword in the Stone. A ghostly apparition of a knight appeared moments later, taking up the weapon in its hands as if it were meant solely for it. The being glared out of its helmet with two pinpricks of glowing, unearthly light before also vanishing into the ether like the dragoniers before it. It appeared moments later, drawing a line between the DeathFire and its ThunderDragon3 companion. It pointed its deadly blade at the two and drew back its arm, before thrusting forward in a flash. It speared the air with a gleaming blade, trying to skewer the two viruses like pigs.

As the Swordy3 drew back for a second strike, Magistrate summoned forth a magical bubble of energy around it. It would be another layer of protection, similar to that of its allies above. Suzume and Aya then let forth a barrage of heavy energy shells from their position high above the battlefield, attempting to burn the landscape and shatter stony defenses. They reached out their hands toward the viruses below and attempted to snatch their lives away with quite the fireworks show. Red-hot metal sprayed across the roadway, probably causing a hazardous future problem to any other go-carts' tires.

The Swordy3 thrust its sword once more at the DeathFire and ThunderDragon3, attempting to further wound its opponents. It's blade reflecting off the light of the street in a rainbow of colors as it tried to draw more viral blood and splatter it on the roadway. Meanwhile, Drago opened forth his fanged maw and let loose a torrent of lightning upon the same enemies that the twins were targeting, trying to finish them off. The bolts of energy lanced down like arrows launched from a massive warbow, spearing the air. If they were lucky, the durable Chaos viruses would be horribly mangled by the end of the first few minutes of the battle. If not, then this battle would be one of their greatest struggles yet.

Magistrate, Suzume, and Aya attempted to use their aerial maneuverability, and their great distance, to attempt to avoid the counterattack from below. Though with the DeathFire able to rain fire from above them, regardless of the height, they would also have to dodge and weave through a hailstorm of meteors. They attempted to navigate this treacherous space without succumbing to too many injuries. Truly this was a space opera.

While most of the viruses were still getting their bearings, after being left behind by the phantom racers, the Deathfire darted hurriedly behind the nearby dragon pot, raising its staff to begin showering the assembled dragoniers with a swarm a sparkling, start-pointed meteors that streaked down all around them. Drago and his crew were still calling orders, but despite this they managed to split up just in time to avoid the variety of stars that were otherwise destined for them.

One after another, they each arrived at their spread out positions, while the two satellites down below opened broad, sweeping beams that scanned the field and the skies for the targets they knew to be present. One of them managed to get a lock on Magistrate, while the other caught Suzume with the edge of its beam and locked firmly onto her location instead. Both Satellites shifted subtly, changing modes as they steamed, then launched skyward away from the race track.

Down below, with its quarries now far away, the many-armed God Hand flexed two of its fists, summoning a heavy ball and chain, then whirled it around and released the concussive weight in Drago's direction. DragonierMan was momentarily focused on his own plans, plunging a sword back down to the track, and the iron ball collided with his first layer of protection, deflected safely, though it scattered his barrier in the process.

The thrown sword struck down and was claimed by their trusty sword-knight. Across from it, the ThunderDragon peered out of its pot, locked its gaze on the only hostile immediately on the ground, and breathed a cloud of magnetic lightning across the roadway. The breath hit nothing, however, as the Swordy warped behind both it, and the DeathFire hiding behind its pot, and skewered them both with its blade.

The DeathFire shrieked, struck in the back by surprise, then moved again, rushing around the pot to hide on the other side this time, taking cover from the Swordy, and, with wave of its staff, summoning a large rock cube into the space where it had been; two things between it and the Swordy would work better, right? It didn't notice Magistrate taking an extra moment to give their summoned help some protection of its own, before having to turn her attention to the two Satellites. They were each in firing position now, and twisted their laser batteries towards Magi and Suzume respectively, releasing a cross-barrage of focused fire at each of them.

Both were ready to respond, fortunately, and despite the precision accuracy of the attacking viruses, Magistrate managed to avoid all but a single shot, which scrapped the edge of her barrier. Suzume dodged admirably as well, though her foe managed to landed three small bolts on her, eating away her barrier and almost breaking through her armour as well – though not quite. The two satellites settled back down to the race track again, their barrage expended, just in time for Aya and Suzume to go on the offence themselves. Suzume led with heavy magnum shots that damaged the race track as well as severely harming each of the satellites, and the Heavy God Hand; the latter, in particular, was stripped of its hardened outer armour, leaving the virus vulnerable to further attacks.

Aya's attacks followed up a moment later, slamming into the two Satellites and pushing them both precariously close to the edge of the race track. The God Hand was buffeted by the blow as well, but wasn't budged, such was its eight and presence. It looked up to its far-off foes, as though calculating. Drago wasn't about to give it time to think, and joined the twins with an electric assault of his own; it obliterated the Satellites completely, but by errant ill-fortune, the third beam wasn't quite accurate enough to strike true. It grazed above the heavy-set virus, sparking off its arms arms and crackling away without harming the virus. He had gotten its attention, however...

With a creak, it rolled across to the cube that the other insignificant viruses were cowering behind, and with two arms hefted the massive rock and lobbed it up. With two more hands, it swung around in a brutal haymaker that crashed into the cube and sent it rocketing up into the space above the track. More specifically, the space above the track which DragonierMan was still occupying. It shattered with a crash the reduced the RockCube itself to splinters and fragments, and shattered Drago's second layer of defence, though the casing had saved him from any further damage, thankfully. With its two remaining hands, the potent virus pointed at Drago, and at itself, then raised the hands as fists, along with four others.

Beside it, the ThunderDragon was focused on its won battle, swivelling its head around to blast another electrical breath at the Swordy that was attempting to slay it. This time its breath weapon washed over the knight successfully, but only managed to wear away the barrier that Magistrate had supplied. Unhurt, the knight plunged its blade forward again a moment later, piercing through the electric steam to stab both the dragon, and its companion evil sorcerer again.

A faint tingling sound chimed out as it did. At some point during its teleporting about, the Swordy seemed to have stopped on one of the disguised yellow panels. A small animated sprite had spent a few seconds scrolling through images above its helmet and had now stopped, displaying a small yellow star. The star had little vertical black eyes on it for some reason. Curious.

Satellite3Satellite3 (Satellite)

DragonierMan grinned as the God Hand put up its dukes and challenged the man to a tussle. "I accept your challenge!" the Navi bellowed out to the virus below, before teleporting down to the ground. The dragonier raised his meaty fists and nodded to his opponent to begin when ready. "This one is mine. You all can handle the rest."

Magistrate nodded and turned to the twins, drawing her sword. "Suzume and Aya, you will join me to delete the dragon. And you..." she said as she turned to the Swordy3. "You will deal with that... fiery creature. Understood?" she asked, and the knightly apparition raised his sword and nodded, before turning towards his sworn foe.

Suzume and Aya looked at each other, decided not to argue, and drew their own swords. The trio blinked out of existence for a moment, before reappearing again on the roadway, attempting to surround the ThunderDragon3. Defenses raised and weapons at the ready, the three of them lashed out with their sabers. With meaty swings of their muscular arms, they attempted to cut the lizard into bite-sized chunks with their heavy blades. Over and over again they struck at the creature, catching the dragon in the middle of a three-person blender.

The Swordy3 teleported up to the DeathFire and was about to strike, sword arm drawing back, but then took a second look at the small, yellow star floating slightly above its head. Curious, it reached up and attempted to pluck the animated sprite out of the air to see what it could do. Assuming the star didn't stop it from continuing with its mission, the Swordy3 would go back to hacking the DeathFire to pieces with its sharp sword. Changing the style of attack depending on the viral positioning of its foe. It was wounded enough that either style of attack would work just as well.

Drago, in a boxing stance with arms raised up in front of him like a shield, his own hands glowing with golden boxing gloves. He shifted and danced side to side as he awaited his opponent to send a punch his way. He would attempt to weave around the strike as he rushed in to deliver his own set of quick jabs. He went for a fast one-two punch combo to the face of the God Hand. Punches strong enough to K.O. anyone lesser than him.

With only a few stragglers left, Drago opted to indulge himself in a little one on one pugilism, with a massive six-armed solid metal monstrosity of a virus. What was life without a little spice, after all? As he teleported down to striking range with the God Hand, his summoned ally reached up to poke at the strange icon it had acquired. The star flashed once, before disappearing. In the same moment, a ripple spectrum of rainbow colours washed over the Swordy and continued to cycle; it felt... faster.

The dragon, meanwhile, was infuriated with its lack of success attacking the sword-wielding knight, and instead launched itself bodily from its pot, aiming to crash tackle the summon. When it hit, however, those watching were treated to the sight of the pot dragon thrown back immediately as though by some tremendous repulsion, further injured and smarting as it collapsed in coils and retracted again, slinking back into its pot. The Swordy hadn't even felt the impact, strangely.

No sooner had the dragon retreated, then the dragonier trio appeared all around its pot, swords ready; one they were in position, it was an unceremonious few moments that saw the dragon ruthlessly stabbed to deletion; business as usual for the girls, perhaps.

There were more interesting things going on a short distance away; Drago had landed and dodged in, dukes up as he wove towards his foe. The many-armed virus seemed to revel in this opportunity, flexing all of its arms at once, then beginning to swipe at the navi foolish enough o stand toe to toe with it. Drago was easily able to avoid the swinging fists of the virus, but at the last moment, these turned out to be mere feints, as one solid blow crept in with colossal power, just at the wrong moment; it caught Drago with enough force to crash through all of his defences and send the dragonier skidding back several feet as well; these chaos viruses packed a sever punch, if they got a chance, it seemed. The blow wasn't enough to slow Drago down, however, and he was quick to respond with a swift counterblow of his own, moving back into the opening left behind and delivering an even more crushing punch that the virus had managed. The strike might have almost been enough to stop the virus when it was fresh and unharmed; in its injured state, it stood no chance, and crumpled into scrap from the impact.

Somewhere off to the side, the Swordy, still flashing in a cycle of bright colours, delivered a slash that quieted the last virus before it could manage to summon down any more meteors – it seemed as though its attempts to take cover had been temporarily delayed by getting stuck to the magnetised section of the track. The last sword stroke brought this particular skirmish drew to a close, leaving the dragoniers to gather their spoils on the slightly damaged roadway amidst the stars.

[Requesting Battle 4.]

Continuing their adventures in SPAAAAAAACE, Dragonier and co would find themselves on a massive checkerboad of sorts, flashing panels with red denoting the spaces as they flashed weakly in the darkness of space, metal colored black as they continued on...viruses in the distance. A giant, purple and green flashing "rockcube" would turn it's "face" towards the navi and SPs, sending a blast of energy towards the quartet multiple times, forcing them to make an emergency run towards the middle of the board before the salvo would finish. This virus, a Quadcube, would be sporting a similarly colored crown atop it's "head" seemingly inspiring the other viruses around it.

A massive, hulking humanoid-robot virus sporting what could only be called "a metric butt-ton" of various armaments across it's body, cannons, lasers, etc, as they went back into their body, the heavyset red colored armor weighing it down so every step it made was a loud thud and was closing in on Magistrate's position. A Pulsebulb3 humming loudly as it began to move closer and closer, on the right of the King virus, whist a CannonGuard was on it's left, guard closed and aiming towards the navi and SPs...and then the Potdragon would land towards the west of the King, a loud growling noise coming from the pot as it had slunk itself in, aiming the pot at an angle to watch the navi and his allies...battle routines, set, it was battle time!

Super-X3Super-X3 (Super-X)

The Super-X series of viruses are miniature super robots, all generally humanoid in appearance, but not reaching any higher than 3 feet tall or so. A Super's armor plating is fairly complete, with the only gaps being at the joints to allow for mobility. The inner machinery that can be seen at the joints is a dark gray, while the armor color is dependent on the version. Super-1 is the standard model with white armor, while Super-2 is the speedy model with blue, lightweight armor and Super-3 is the strong model with red, heavyweight armor. Super-Omega is the same as Super-1 in terms of design, but its armor is pure black. All Supers have yellow, opaque visors for eyes, secured by a finned crest that reaches around their heads. Supers don't have any immediately visible weapons, but that is a mere formality because a full arsenal of beam weaponry is stored within their bodies.

-- Chaos Battle 4 Ready? Start!! --
Coming upon a game of space chess, and dodging an initial blast of energy from the King, the dragoniers smugly smirked. They didn't just have one Queen... They had a whole party full of queens. Teleporting queens. The enemy King didn't stand a chance.

All four vanished in nebulous clouds of cosmic sparkles. They moved across the battlefield at light-speed and reappeared as best as they could behind the King QUADCUBE and his attendants. "We come bearing gifts for his majesty!" DragonierMan said as the four dragoniers placed down large ceramic pots. "I hope you enjoy them," he smiled as all four placed a foot on the rim. They hovered slightly above the lips by their wings, before tipping the pots over towards the viruses, spilling their contents all over them.

Four angry and hungry dragons stormed out of the pots and rampaged across the checkerboard.

An earth dragon, blades of grass spinning around it like tiny blades in a blender, spreading green wherever it stepped.

A fire dragon, embers and smoke billowing from it, left a trail of burning destruction wherever it graced.

A water dragon, icy rain flowing off its regal mane, brought precious water to the mostly dry outer space.

And finally a dragon of lightning, storming across the infinite cosmos, bringing with it... magnets. How do they work?

Defenses raised and opening salvo delivered, the three female knights took up defensive stances and tried to dodge the incoming counteroffensive. They spread their wings and used them to quickly, yet subtly, adjust their positions in the air as they hovered near the ground. Like a hummingbird's helicopter movement (though they didn't need to beat their wings so fast due to digital magic).

Drago continued the attack by summoning forth their knightly friend from the previous battle. The Swordy3 quickly resumed its position near the others, teleporting behind the King QUADCUBE's throne, and unsheathed its WideSword to take a few swings at the King and his retainers. The gleaming sword cut through the air in wide swaths as the Knight tried to take the King.

With targets right in front of it, the crowned cube gave its orders in the form of a trio of precise laser bolts targeted directly at Drago, Magistrate and Suzume. The beams lanced through the spaces where the trio had been, as the dragoniers teleported away from their starting positions to new, surprise locations.

As they did, the super-soldier on the side tracked with their sudden relocation, extending both hands in front of it and firing off a volley of repeat shots as well; the side fire scattered across their position but failed to connect with Drago or Suzume, and struck only where Aya, a hair slower on her initial teleport had just been, but it did manage to land one shot on Magistrate in amongst the barrage. Her barrier was scattered from the powerful blast, but the shot was unable to pierce her defences any further.

The PulseBulb, closer to its temporary ruler, responded as well, zipping to one side so it could gather up several of the upstarts in the concussive sound wave that rolled out when it opened its shell to fire. Drago, Aya and Suzume were each caught in the wave as they prepared their next attacks, felt a disorienting whine in their senses that didn't fade after the shock-wave itself tore away their outermost defences.

Unfortunately for the defenders, these assaults weren't enough to throw the dragoniers off their congenial offer of dragons and one by one the pots thumped down into the checker-board tiles. As they did, however, an enraged growl became a roar – the resident dragon, already unhappy with their intrusion seemed to grow incensed as they brought not one, but seemingly four other dragons into its territory; the affront! It surged out of its pot across the space towards the centre, yet in its fury it seemed far more focused on the pots themselves, and didn't manage to actually attack any of the dragoniers successfully. It circled Aya's pot most aggressively, looking for a chance to attack its direct competitor, but its attention was pulled back a bare moment later – the wood dragon was emerging.

The resident dragon looked towards it, drew back and then swiftly began racing back towards its own pot in a panic – it wasn't about to fight that thing, king or no king! Too slow; Drago's WoodDragon missed the crowned cube as it broke straight towards the fleeing ThunderDragon: one vicious clamp of its jaws destroyed the enemy virus before it could escape and left the summon enough time to turn back and tear apart the PulseBulb before it could close up properly as well. Before it ran out of energy, the creature managed to take a swipe at the stationary turret as well, but even as it faded the next dragon was already making its move, capitalising on the imminently flammable terrain left for it.

Magistrate's HeatDragon was, for a moment, too tempted by the burnable grass and managed, somehow, to also pass by the king cube without successfully hitting it, but made up for it by finishing off the turret before it could even get a single shot off. It turned back on itself and dived towards the other remaining virus, but ran out of steam before it managed to get to the super soldier on the sidelines.

It hardly mattered: moments later, Aya and Suzume's dragons respectively took to the field, surging over the terrain one after the other. These two managed to both strike the crowned virus as they passed, and with no other distractions were able to race out to take snaps at the super as well. The aqua dragon missed this second bit, but the electric one slammed into the pint-sized mech and sent it staggering.

In the ruins of its checker-board field, the badly damaged QuadCube had been briefly flipped to healing but struck right back again, and so now, despite its beleaguered state took three more laser shots at its assailants. Sadly, for it, Drago, Aya and Suzume all dodged nimbly away from the beams directed at them while Drago summoned yet more assistance to the field.

The Swordy appeared and warped into position to attack the king virus. As it did, the Super desperately tried one last time to defend its current liege, opening its chest cannon and blasting the Swordy with a full bore beam attack. It wasn't enough; the Swordy weathered the blast and then swept its sword anyway, bisecting the large cube and causing its pieces to fall to the ground with dull thuds. Drained and injured, the Super virus stepped back, looking at Drago and his allies, and for a moment its yellow visor seemed to glint in a flicker of some unreadable feeling, before it disappeared in a small flash of light, retreating from the field of battle, for now.

DragonierMan looked around after the battle had concluded and frowned. In his hands was a calculator and a pair of binoculars. "I think we should take a break back in the PET and come back to search another area. This place looks deserted and I think we have just enough resources to upgrade the endurance of the three of you. When we return, we'll crush another ThunderDragon3 and turn it in for the bounty." The others nodded as they finished collecting the rewards of the battle and huddled around their leader. A few moments later, four beams of light illuminated the interstellar sky.

[DRAGONIERMAN LOGGED OUT!!!]

DragonierMan and Co. spent a few hours in the PET buffing up their armor. It had gotten a little tarnished in the crucible of battle and needed a little polishing. Once they returned to the NET, they set about scouring for a new patch of viruses.

[Requesting Battle 1.]

Returning to a slightly different sector of the vast Naxa chaos net, the nearest object of interest the crew came upon was a broken-ope section of what looked as though it might have been some sort of space station, covered in fragmented data trails and floating debris, in amongst the shells of sciency-looking corridors and lab rooms. It rotated slowly in open space, adrift, damaged and forgotten.

Flickers of movement quicker than the slow drift of broken space junk, Drago and his team caught glimpses of badly damaged progs moving erratically from lab to lab, through the torn-open cross-sections, some still performing partially recalled tasks while others meandered in repetitive cycles. Other bits and pieces moved as well – looking something like lab equipment gone viral, but in amongst the other distractions, the dragoniers noticed the more familiar shape of one of their target dragons, lurking amongst the wreckage and seemingly claiming this forgotten chunk as its domain. Nothing seemed to have noticed them just yet, though things likely would if they drew much closer.

-=Battle 1, Start!=-
Returning to a slightly different sector in the vast NAXA Chaos NET, the nearest object of interest was another shattered and abandoned space station. The expanse was littered with these ruins of a bygone age. DragonierMan reached out his gloved hand and scooped up a handful of fragmented data trail, letting it sift out of his hand like so much sand. Looking at the desiccated scene before him, he pondered about the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. Until he was nudged from the side by his fellows, who pointed out the beggared remains of a few scattered viruses who have found a home among the wreckage.

The four spread their wings as they floated towards the station, taking up an attack posture. Bubble shields and crystal-like growths hardened about their forms, protecting them from the void. They then all disappeared in flashing blinks of light, appearing high above the open 'roof' of the slowly rotating space station. They matched the rotation, slowly orbiting the station as they looked down into the torn-open cross-sections. Each pointed their hands towards the three station residents, entirely ignoring the lurking ThunderDragon3 EX that was outside.

Mini-rocket propelled projectiles from Drago and Suzume fired out of triple-barreled cannons. They blazed their own data-choked trails as they split off and homed in on their painted targets, adrift in their own repeated worlds. As they burned like meteors in space, Magistrate would add to the biological hazards in the labs. A trio of raindrop-shaped slimes fell upon the same three inundated viruses. And Aya completed the perils by a storm of lightning bolts. They rained down upon the metal coffin below, supercharging the floor and walls with more endangerment.

The four watched their chaos unfold from their perch far above. They used their wings to maneuver themselves in the zero-gravity of space as if they had little microboosters from a space suit. It would be hard for many enemies to reach them way above the ground, but not impossible. But the dragoniers were respectable on the evasion. It would be difficult to hit them with a dodgeball.

The party moved into a good vantage position as they raised their usual defences, while below them the broken down lab behaviour continued as it had – the spinning virus sent out three bolts of light, seeking out the other entities in the lab. Two seemed to further energies the damaged programs, while the third sunk into the rent panelling – though a brief flicker of electricity seemed to indicate that the lurking dragon knew about the virus' proclivities and was benefiting from them as well. One of the programs paused, crackled briefly, then released a wave of bursting static that likely would have destroyed the three consoles it was moving between, if they hadn't already been broken. The other one glowed brightly, energy crackling across its broken sections as its pace increased – to no effect as it continued to get stuck in the same loop.

Drago was the first to break the calm, striking at the viruses and damaged programs from above. All three fists connected, knocking the creatures around briefly while Suzume fired her far more destructive weaponry. As it rained into the station, however the lurking dragon roared its offence at this assault upon its unwitting minions and the invasion of its domain. In a burst of light and moment, it leapt from its pot, arcing up towards the dragoniers, who each swerved away from its efforts easily enough – with the poor exception of Suzume, still finishing off her own firing run. The blindside from the dragon held staggering force – enough to crush her protective bubble and strip away her casing besides, though it lacked the punch to continue past that, to her good fortune. Nevertheless, Suzume's ordinance was enough to firestorm the other viruses and programs from the station in a clean sweep, leaving only the dragon itself.

Magistrate, with nothing else left and the perfect weapon to hand regardless, was able to send at leas one of the hazardous slimes into the dragon's pot, coating it as it tried to retreat and slowing its movements. Amidst the sudden and destructive assault, the dragon opted to retreat fully, ducking away out of sight for now, and though Aya's volley of lightning blasts hammered around it, they didn't manage to find the right angle to harry the hiding virus properly. Still, it would likely only mean a few more seconds to clean up, for the dragoniers – just one target remaining, and it being hurt and slow besides, the mop up was mostly a formality at this point.

Well this was familiar...

The four dragoniers once more cleaned the clock of the four viruses in a rousing game of "Shoot-Em Up (tm)". Pound for pound, the navis came out on top time and again. Seeing the end of the battle in sight, and another wounded dragon hiding in its pot, the four warriors each reached to their hips and drew out heavy, blunt swords from their scabbards. Ready to put an end to its misery and secure the win for the "Good Guys (tm)". Once again, Good banished Evil from existence.

Their forms shimmered against the void as they all gathered around the top rim of the DragonPot. Its intricately carved body creaked under the sudden weight of four sets of booted feet, and the heavily armed and armored warriors that went with them, as they appeared as if by magic. Grasping the hilts of their swords, the four raised their weapons high, before plunging the blades deep within the bowls of the stone coffin. Again and again their blades fell upon the wounded dragon, who had nowhere to go. The haunting light of the stars above gleamed sickly off the stoic, deathly pale, silver wraiths who silently brought swift and brutal judgment down upon another tortured soul.

Between the quartet's efforts and the PotDragon attempting to slink back within it's shell, well, to say this was a massacre wouldn't be incorrect. The dragon was dead within moments before it could try anything...and well...lets say Galligar would be impressed at the mess the dragon made with Dragonier's hammer. Data splattered and fragmented everywhere, they had plenty of rewards to pick up.
